As always with this CO, a very nicely made cache. Fav.Thanks to Mister Doctor for the fun and the adventure.
we couldn't find it, but we did find rings which probaly was part of the cache, but the sign wasn't there.
Such an awesomely constructed cache! Thanks again @Mister Doctor! Didnt have a pen on us this time!
Unexpectedly found my way out at Ringwood today, so took a small sidestep and found this nicely constructed cache. TFTC
Thanks for the effort! I went in the other side of the fence and hopped over multiple times as the GPS was glitch! I thought about your hint and put together my ideas, there was the cache. Finding the log was the hardest part, though found it. Tftc found with geodog
Caching via PT with chook from chooknchunk - what a day! Great caches, chats, lunch and laughs. First find of the day and what a beauty! Thanks for the cache - a well deserved favourite.
Well, well, well - I found the logbook in position but the cache container out of position. Most peculiar. All reunited again and ready for action once more.Good luck!
bunadoorian and I were in the area checkingnout a nearby restaurant for an upcoming get together. After our lovely meal we decided to come and try and find this cache. bunadoorian found the cache holder quickly then to find the cache. bunadoorian was soon on it and the log was signed. Not sure what was up at the station but there were 6 protective services officers near by at 1pm . TFTC and for bringing us here Mister Doctor.
I must admit I was looking for something a bit larger but it was a really good hide. If it wasn't for the hint I think I would have been searching for quite a while longer. For some reason my GPS was not being very cooperative. My GPS was showing me about 20 metres from GZ but I knew that it would take a while for it to settle. I really enjoyed the type of cache/hide. It is amazing what you can do with a little ingenuity and imagination. TFTC and thanks for the entertainment.
If the caches that I find today continue to be of this high quality, I am soon going to run out of favourite points. Thanks for the effort you have put into making this cache so successful Mister Doctor. Day three of my attack on Victorian LGAs. I woke later than I expected to a grey, miserable looking day promising scattered showers which I didn't really relish as I was hoping for at least 6 more areas. I was targeting a few Side tracked caches, which probably wasn't a very good idea as it was peak travel time when I started. I mostly had success, but found it quite interesting how much I depend on knowing a cacher and method and types of hides. Of course down here I don't have that knowledge and at times I found it quite difficult to find the supposedly easy caches. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches that add so much to our game. All found caches were signed and replaced where found.
I was planning on attending RoamingHowie's event at Melbourne Central this evening. A call from GemmaSistema asking if I wanted to do a PTV caching day elicited a positive response, a much earlier departure was now needed. A plan was formulated, I met GemmaSistema at Southern Cross and off we headed. Dropping the child off at the Victorian Parliament, Ringwood was our destination. We targeted caches and AdLabs in the area and along the trail beside the railway line through to Nunawading. A very pleasant stroll indeed.Thank you so much for your cache placement.
#20721 - 10:48:03 AM; In Melbourne for the International Lions Convention and with that event now finished, I set out this morning to collect caches in the last three Victorian LGAs on my "to do" list. After a find in Whitehorse last night, I managed finds in Maroondah and Yarra Ranges, plus another in Whitehorse on my mission this morning to complete the set, with five from five. All were located without too much trouble, log signed and replaced as found, including this one. This was the first stop and after a short search and reference to the hint, the cleverly constructed cache was soon in hand. A fave for the effort here! TFTC Mister Doctor
In Melbourne with a kid for school and a whole day to myself so I hit up the PTV king Micaparamedic to see if he wanted a caching day out. Mrs Chook (from chooknchunk) told us about this route and a plan was hatched. Now I grew up in Wantirna, went to school in Heathmont (and wagged to Eastland), and worked at Nunawading and Box Hill libraries. My family live in Wantirna still and also Mitcham so this massive walk today from Ringwood to Nunawading was definitely an old stopping ground reminisce (Gaz would have been sick of my stories). Ha ha. So many creative caches along thos route. Only one gave us issues so all in all a fantastic day out. Adding some favs as I go to show much appreciation for the creativity. Thanks so much
It is great to do sneaky caches when we are taking the grandies out searching. Even though I had had a cursory glance at the cache, I hadn't realised what I was looking at. It was the 8 year old that made the find or the main container. Very sneaky and he was very pleased with himself. Both grandkids were in awe of how this was concealed. Thanks for the smiles and this smiley.
Whilst we were in Ringwood, we walked across to look for this one. It was the 8 year old grandie that spotted this first. Another great cache by this CO. Thanks for the fun with this cache.
With such good weather we decided to attend the nearby event th and had such a good run in that we arrived quite early so we decided to do this cache before hand. We are really enjoying this side tracked series of caches and learning the history of our early railways. With limited hiding spots the cache itself took a little bit longer than expected to find and after adding our name to the log we returned everything as it was. Many thanks Mister Doctor for the info and the hide, a favourite point from us.
With dot558 on a great trail these have had great thought go into them what a great trailThank you for the care and though into doing this trail
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Wo
Tenth find today on a route designed to tick off some more metro LGAs. Really like your camo but I am wondering how it will fair in the wet. TFTC
Yay; another side tracked cache in a well-planned position. Up to the Doctor's usual standards. And the muggles ignored me.

Hoped for a quick grab but was unsuccessful. I am pretty sure i was in the right spot and found some metal things but no gc on it. Is it maybe gone?
Another Sidetracked cache to add to the collection. Thank you Mister Doctor for placing and maintaining SideTracked - Ringwood for us to find today.
Convinced my partner and a couple of bemused muggle friends to come with me to find this after dinner across the road. Felt dodgy being Ringwood at night, but we found it without any mishap. TFTC
This is one of many geocaches that I have found over the last 12 months, but have not got around to logging. Sorry for the generic log. Just catching up now.
Easiest find ever I've lived in the area for over 15 years, passed the memorial in the car countless times, first time I've walked up to it.TFTC
A much easier Sidetracked cache to find than the one back up the track at Heatherdale, but very satisfying - and cute. TFTC Mister Doctor.
A trip out to Ringwood on the Train to collect some sidetracked caches and make use of my free senior travel pass. Soon had the log signed for this one. I loved the cache container and enjoyed the beautiful little nearby park. Thanks for bringing me here.
Absolutely blown away by the architecture and new green spaces and train station here. I have fond memories of coming to this exact spot on a hot summer night with my family and being treated to an icecream at Norgen Vaaz ice creamery, we'd sit in this park next to the clock tower. Thanks for bringing me here today, cutest cache ever!
Despite it being late Saturday afternoon, there still isn’t any close, easy parking. It was getting dark and TEM had to stay in the car while I made a quick dash to GZ. A wino followed me to the nearby seat, which creeped me out a bit, but he only sat long enough for him to take a swig and didn’t seem to be interested in what I was doing. I loved the cache and was sorry I couldn’t get a photo of it to show TEM. Here goes another favourite point!
We were not expecting such a CUTE container! Thank you for placing this cache. This is our first ‘Side Tracked’ cache.
Very beautiful handcraft, not an easy find though if without the hint and some pictures from previous finders.
Lovely windy day out searching with friends. Love this creative container. The four clue was a bit tricky but we found it. Thanks for helping us in the library today Mister Doctor.
Got my seniors card last week (!) and so decided to come up by train and do a few here, without sitting in the car for ages. It'sturned into a lovely day to be out caching, who's have thought, from all that earlier rain.
After attending the 'Maker Magic: Mitcham Makers' event earlier today I was ready to find some more of the SideTracked series. I guessed that here I wouldn't be searching for a standard bison and when I eventually found the cache I was correct. It's amazing how well hidden this item was and even after reading the hint I was still questioning myself.
Thank you Mister Doctor for this cache and the series.
Thank you Mister Doctor for this cache and the series.
After a successful day finding sidetracked caches along the pakenham line, it was time to give the Belgrave line a go.
We parked the car at upper Ferntree Gully and as the train was about to depart left the cache there to find later.
First stop, Boronia, where we learnt about the sad past of the station.
Then on to Bayswater. At first we were stumped but our prior knowledge of the cache in Boronia was a big key to our success.
Third stop, the busy hub of Ringwood. Lots of interesting youth here. A very quick find and one of the best caches I have ever seen. A favourite for sure!
