Archiving this one as advise received is that the tree is gone, and construction of the new hospital will be starting soon anyhow. Short lived cache, but thats live
Absolutely no luck here for me today! Even with 2 sets of eyes scanning the objects around GZ we still just couldn't spot it! This area is pretty sad now though now they have removed the friendship wall and set up construction bases nearby, there's a lot of rubbish too ?? so unfortunately either the camo is just waaaay too good for us or it's gone.. thanks anyway, maybe another time! ??
This one was a little tricky as there have been so many changes to the area with the wall decommissioned etc. But MummaCache spotted this one. On a hot day I would say look for shade.
Sorry to say Wall of Friendship has been decommissioned but happy to say this cache is still here.
Found in the first place I looked but not the first time I looked LOL. Sadly no plaques today so will come back to do the virtual another time.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7
Thanks Pinkpiggy7
The last time I was here, the playground was being used. Tonight no one was about except for a local resident. He was so cute hanging out in the middle of the play area!
It's nice to have a few of these close by in walking distance from my home - incentive to keep knocking out those 5kers!
Cache was found with no issues. Log a little stuck but all

Had us stumped for a while, but finding any cache at sunset us a challenge.. Well placed cache
I was down south for the CITO and teamed up with OzHockeyChick for some post clean up finds.
Stopping nearby for the virtual, we looked in a few spots before I noticed the cache nearby.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

We've just come back from Tassie and I just got off the Spirit of Tassie at 7am this morning but had to pick up our dog Roxy from the boarding kennel in Devon Meadows before 9.30 am. Instead of having a quick rest or some brekkie, I decided to drive out straight away as all I wanted to do was go to bed.
So with the dog picked up, whilst driving back home, I realised I needed a find for today for my 365 grid. Not much on offer but I spotted this one and it had a Virtual at the same location - bonus.
So a quick find was made here. The cache and log was in good condition.
I had a bit of a walk around looking at the wall here and the various plaques.
Thank you for the cache here Pinkpiggy7

After checking out the walls, went to gz which for us was in the middle of the poles. Checked our what else was around and soon had the cache in hand

Great find! Very well camouflaged! Really enjoyed this one, did not know about the Global Friendship Wall, lovely!
I was visiting family nearby and picked this one up on the way home. I have been to the library many times but I had no idea what was up this end of the car park. TFTC
Hahahah finally found this. Now I know what a bison is. Being new was looking for a cow like container
Found it, came here tonight with the little one, lucky there was a park near by so he was busy while we searched. TFTC
Could not after searching 30mins int he rain.
Checked all the plaque, trees, flag poles, bench seats and couldn't locate a cache

While following the 2022 Great Victorian Cache Crawl from Phillip Island to Queenscliff (a 600km roundtrip) I did a few caches between events.
After attending the Cranbourne event I looked for a couple of traditional caches in the area and this one appeared on the radar. It helped to have several cachers around GZ who had already found it. And then it was off to gather answers for the Global Friendships virtual.
Thanks, Pinkpiggy7.

There is no better day than today, International Geocaching Day to find a cache about international friendships.

Such a great testament to the possibility of peace! WORLD GEOCACHING DAY was a good enough reason to retreat from winters home-base in the mountains and head south. It’s turning into quite an educational roam of the expanding burbs of Marvellous Melbs. Third event of the morning and plenty of people to yak to - how will energy levels hold up? Ah yes, spare battery! Then it was off to find a few local caches - and this was such a surprise and hugely interesting Loved every minute! Thanks for bringing CybergranV and myself here. A fave for location!

Happy International Geocaching Day 2022!
All I had planned for today was attending at least one of the celebration events. Beyond that, any extra smiley was a bonus.
With that in mind, instead of making my own way down to Tuerong for Mr. Coffee's delayed community event, I found myself riding shotgun with n0w0rries.
Found and signed after gathering answers from the wall for the virtual cache.
Thanks, Pinkpiggy7

Whilst on The Great Victorian Cache Crawl we stopped by this "outback" place for the trad and the virtual. The weather was closing in and the wind biting – thankfully we could park close and LetThemEatCache made a quick find. Thanks Pinkpiggy7
We had car camped overnight at Grossard Point in Ventor so we could make a pre event trip to the Nobbies to find the new Virtual and Adventure Lab before breakfast.
It was a big day with eight events as part of the Great Victorian Cache Crawl, huge shout out to RoamingHowie and Bunjil for all the work they put into making such a great days caching happen.
We had just attended the Cranbourne Event in the Great Victorian Cache Crawl and noticed the Virtual cache was nearby so we raced here and spent an enjoyable time checking out the diversity of the plaques on the walls.
We almost missed this Traditional as we were focussed on the Virtual, but another cacher pointed it out to us so we soon had our name on the log.
Thank you Pinkpiggy7 for creating this cache.

What a frenzy of a day! On the inaugural Vic Cache Crawl and heading for Casey Fields for event #2 (officially event #3, but we missed the first event). This one was close enough to make a quick find with Snips and Co.
Thanks to Brain for ideal coords, made it easier to find. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for placing. Cache on

We stayed in Philip Island last night and were able to grab a few caches in between attending six events for The Great Victorian Cache Crawl to celebrate International Geocaching Day 2022. Making our way across our great state, we grabbed this one whilst checking out the nearby virtual cache. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7.

Pwala and I missed out there after I found virtual, so I returned and found your cache Pinkpiggy7. Thank you so much for placing it.
This one was found by Ronice88 whilst I was busy acquiring all the information required to be able to log the Virtual nearby.
It is amazing how many nationalities are celebrated here, and I thought Shepparton was multicultural!
Thanks for placing the cache here for our entertainment and enlightenment.

Out and about today with PrezDough grabbing a few caches with the Great Victorian Cache Crawl.
We hunted the virtual and now this one.
This was found easily and we soon had our monikers added to the Log.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition.
I visited 3 TB.

On the way to a local event to celebrate International Geocaching Day and took the opportunity to grab a cache or two along the way. This one was a quick find after completing the nearby virtual. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for placing and maintaining the cache
Having done the nearby virtual, with CJDenno, we joined Dromaniax in the search for this traditional. We soon had it in our hands and the log signed with our details. After all the rain in the past few days, it is very wet here. Now we are off for more adventures on the Great Victorian Cache Crawl. The cache is in excellent condition.

After waiting for some muggle activity to move away we still came up empty handed. We certainly found some worthy locations but geocaching blindness got the better of us. Thanks for the interesting location.
This was our first attempt at geocaching and we couldn't find it here this time. Maybe we will come back again another time to try again
A short while ago we visited this area and found this cache just hanging around. It seemed like the only likely place.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for showing us this place that we never would have found by ourselves.
Chiefton!!!

Found at 3:11 pm.
Really nice afternoon so I headed out to fill a calendar day that needed filling. I initally headed for Cranbourne Botanical Gardens which was really nice and much larger than I expected.
This area waas luckily deserted on the weekend so this was a nice quick find before I started studying the wall.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

It's been a hot minute since I've been to this location - I once frequented the area in my younger and more athletic days, but that was years ago and my visits here are now much rarer.
Since then, the building has undergone quite the transformation indeed.
But though the appearance may be different, its audience is not, and the place carries a familiar scent of coalesced sweat and sights of hot (now cold) chips squished into the ground (perhaps the redevelopment did serve some benefit on that front, as I recall carpet comprising most of the interior as opposed to the linoleum-like material that now takes its place; much to the joy of the cleaning staff, no doubt).
Heading around to gz, the empty bottles, broken glass and various graffiti indicates that little has changed to the aesthetics of the exterior either.
The accompanying siren in the distance seemed only fitting.
Following the advice of past logs, I ignored the map and let my senses kick in.
With the aid of my phone torch in an area that is, at-times, dimly-lit to an unnerving degree, the cache was soon spotted where its presence could be expected.
I recommend S 38° 06.808 E 145° 17.675 as the ideal place to look.
Though much has been modified (and there are still some elements in need), perhaps the strangest change to me is that the front entrance is now around the back; a peculiar way to access a space of friendships from the past.

We came here on our way to Cranbourne shopping Centre. This was an easy find for Geoboy.
It took a while for our guts to kick in, but we got it eventually - very satisfied Thanks for the cache! Lovely spot.
Find 2969
It has just started to rain as we arrived. No muggles in sight as we waited for the rain to stop. Once it had geowife found almost straight away. log signed and all back safe again.
Now for the virtual.

the navigation isn’t spot on it’s not on the flag pole - not too hard to find tho!
After completing the virtual cache, I had to look for this one. I suspected that I knew where the final would be, but I still followed my GPSr. But when that didn't take me to a geocache, went with my gut and found it where I expected it to be.
Thanks for the cache Pink Piggy 7

I had an appointment in the area so plans were made to catch up with Omegaman1971 to clean up some of the new caches in the area.
This is one of the caches found today. A quick find here and an even bigger bonus a virtual at the same spot.

Yesterday I noticed a new Virtual publish here and planned on visiting My Uncle today in Hampton Park so the plan was to pay it a visit during the trip. So when this cache was publish this afternoon a little before I left home I was hopeful it would still be available for a first to find by the time I drove across around the bay from Lara. Even if the first to find was gone I was still going anyway for the Virtual.
When I arrived in the area it was pretty quiet so I was able to start my hunt without muggle concerns. I soon had the cache in hand and to my delight the log was still blank. Woo Hoo bonus FTF.
Thank you Pinkpiggy7 for bring me here now time to investigate the wall for the Virtual
