This morning we set off early to tackle the ALs and caches in Sydney park, then of course stop off at the playground for the kids. What a lovely spot, Ive driven past here hundreds of times but never knew how good this park was. Completed the adventure lab and shortly after had CIH! TFTC&AL!
Went for a walk yesterday and did both the ALs in this park. Always love coming here to this oasis in the city. Returned today to get the bonus which was an easy find and sign. Thanks for AL and the bonus!
Found a large collection of caches during this overdue trip into the city. Finally returned to Sydney Park to avenge a previous DNF due to construction works in the area. A relatively quick find in the 'obvious' spot while some overprotective noisy myna birds were living up to their name! TFTC
Tftc. Nice adventure through part of the park. Took longer than it should have to find the cache. Found with red_ear_slider
Out and about again, left Perth on a trip to USA and Canada. We stop briefly at Sydney and Auckland (New Zealand). Caching time is limited so trying to get as many as muggle family will allow without a mutiny on my hands. Not far from the hotel grabbed a stack from this park nearby after finishing the Lab.This cache is find number - 16363.Thanks to Brewmaker for the caches I have found.
After dropping off geospouse for her interstate leisure week (oh yes, shell do some geocaching over there), lets grab a cache or two. Sydney Park is one of many geo-favourites in Sydney. Thanks Brewmaker for the AL and this bonus cache. Spring means flora bloom time
Nice lab and cache. Took us a bit longer than it should have to find the cache. I saw the likely spot quickly but dismissed it too early. Got there in the end though. TFTC!
You know those really long logs you write, full of thought and conviction, Each sentence and consecutive paragraph written with a distinct style and purpose. a rhythm the reader relish es like rhubarb.Perhaps remembered anecdotes Or elaborate descriptive narratives detailing the days doldrums.Paragraph after paragraph perchance, partly, possibly pretty prose painstakingly practiced or my illustrious iliteration illuminating locution. After all, it takes time to write a good log.Or even just a log beyond the thanking of the cache owner by way of abbreviation. And then with the accidental tap of a back arrow the ENTIRE THING IS LOST. So it was with this log. So then I started again. Undeterred. Ish.It was a beautiful thing brew. It was full of intentional grammatical errors and innate idiosyncrasies only a small circle of elites could devour. It was written in such a lyrical easygoing fashion that it entirely re wrote the scene. It was in a word, epic. Then that deceptive white arrow up there in the corner again led me astray when I LOST EVERYTHING AGAIN.A long time later.....Here we are! TFTC!
Finally get a find today after 2 DNF's in this huge park on a rainy day. TFTC and the AL Brewmaker.
I clearly approached the two labs in the wrong direction, but no issue doing some extra walking in such a lovely place. Very enjoyable, TFTC!!
Back in Sydney Park with the day already getting hot. Happy to get this one on the back of the adventure lab. TFTC
Enjoying the walk around the park before an event tonight. I have never been to this park so it was really nice to visit it and see all the locations, thanks to the AL for the Tour. At GZ it took me a while to find the cache because I was assuming something else and my gps had me a bit away and then I couldnt get the log out it was pushed in tight, I ended up taking it back to my car and using tweezers . Then I replaced with the pencil on the bottom instead of the top. Fav point for the great AL thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Thankfully a nice quick find, while trying to beat this incoming storm. Absolutely loved the wander around the park. TFTC
The major works are almost complete, and the original GZ is open now. Check the description for the solution if you had solved it before. Please be careful of the new vegetation when approaching GZ.Hint has been updated to match the original hide.NB: I checked the temporary hide given the 2 DNFs. It seems some "gardening" has taken place and the cache had indeed gone missing. Probably cleaned up as suspected rubbish by the muggle workers. I found the "semi-cylinder" that used to hide the cache, but no sign of the container.
After completing the adventure lab yesterday, I made my way back for the bonus before heading back to Maitland. TFTC
Had collected the waypoints last time I passed through town with a quick detour to tick off the bonus. Arrow had me circling a little wider than zero with a lucky spotting at the right angle nearby.
Sydney Day 7: McMahons Point - South Head - Everleigh - Sydney Park - Belmore
Today’s agenda was a whirlwind of a journey, as I had promised to bring my partner over to Watsons Bay (which I have touted as my favourite place in Sydney) and them, later, to have dinner with the in-laws over in Belmore. That meant that there was a lot of travelling to be done today, on top of clearing up some of the outstanding caches on my Sydney to-do list. So, round and round I go, by ferry, light rail and train to complete another fruitful caching day.
(End of the cut and paste bit)
After a rather nice walk through the Park, it was time to clear the first half of the ALs here, and I was brought to yet another bit of bush. I had to traverse a little bit more in the “woods” since the footpath was closed for maintenance. Finding things in here can be tricky, and I found what I thought was the hints object first, with no cache underneath it… but I soon saw the cache a few metres away. I wonder if the two had been separated by some accident. Not wanting to make a mess of things, I left the two as is, and signed in to the cache, and headed on to the next! TFTC!

It was an early start to the morning that saw Tankengine, dty73 and myself on the trip to Sydney to meet up with Kittykatch and Joolay by 10am. We had a weekend of a few targeted caches, with the important ones ticked off we spent a fun and leisurely afternoon in Sydney Park for the ALs and caches there, a lovely park.
After a few hours of walking we stretched ourselves for an afternoon at hijinxs. Sure was a lot of fun, but also a lot of effort involved, but a great team and we did good! We earnt the amazing dinner at the Yummy Seafood restaurant in Challora (it was by far the BEST chinese!) it was off for a well earnt sleep, with the unexpected nighttime adventure of the full hotels smoke alarm going off through the night... yay, lets evacuate!
This cache: Such a nice park, found easily as we walked to the finals of both the AL's on our way back to the cars.

Up in Sydney for the weekend with Aquilus1, Kittykatch, dty73 and Tankengine.

Sydney Road Trip with mates. What a fab AL and fun bonus. I live thus park and happy to come back to do these ALs. Thanks for the hide Brewmaker
Wow what a day! It started early at 6:15am when we hit the road for Sydney.
Tankengine, Aquilus1 and I were up and ready for a full day. We met up with Kittykatch and Joolay at 10am and cached until we had to get to HiJinx Hotel for some more fun. Perhaps we were a little ambitious as we did a lot of walking and caching then ended at HiJinx where we did 15 rooms (all pretty physical)! We ended the night at Yummy Seafood Chinese restaurant near our hotel at the Arena Hotel in Chullora - Best Chinese ever!!!
This cache: After finishing the ALs we headed off to the GZs. This one was first and thankfully a quick find. Both ALs were really nicely placed to highlight some good spots around the park. Tftc!!!

I'd been around the park getting the details on an earlier visit and stopped her with PPE after an afternoon in the area. A challenging search in the dark, but a lot easier once after we found a torch in the car. Thanks Brewmaker.
Found it! Every time we get coordinates we go everywhere in the world. Never the right place.
But this time because of super math brain I have corrected my mum by telling her not to times everything together...

Streak Day #3646 - Out this way with Dave8153 and stopped by GZ for a quick find after completing the AL. TFTC
Quite enjoyed the walk around the parklands with a couple of the kids- we saw so many dogs and some interesting stuff. No troubles at GZ. TFTC!
Enjoyed the AL, and I was able to make a quick find at GZ thanks to the hint. TFTC!
In April this year, we had a nice walk around the park but couldn’t access GZ which was fenced off. The CO kindly changes the location. Today Mrs Gaztek had a short time to kill before picking up her sister from the airport. Hmm, a perfect opportunity to nab this cache! SL TFTC Cheers… Gaztek
F(H)ound It! #3839 @ 1:30 PM with Miz Wacket and the Ridgeoboi
Ridgeoboi and I are visiting from ACT region and a visit to this dog friendly park is a must do for us.
We really enjoyed our stroll around the park and the 13 month old pup had a ball!
We are heading to Newcastle for a dog show and look forward to completing the other AL when we return from that.

Completed the AL awhile ago and with GZ behind construction fences, placed on the backburner for later on.
Upon my travels to the nearby event, was able to park close by.
Really appreciate the temporary fix.
Sydney park is one of my favourite parklands, so well used by the local community and believe there’s more pooches there than humans.

Found today with Mrs A after completing AL P1. First to sign the replacement log.
Enjoyed the Lab on a perfect day. TFTAL Brewmaker.

A walk around the park revealed that there is major works going on at the south-eastern corner of Sydney Park and GZ is definitely fenced off. I asked a workman how long the work would continue and he couldn't give me an answer. So I have placed a temporary new cache until the work is complete.
The calculations and hint have been updated to match the new location. ABCDE from the AL are still the same.
Good luck!

It seems there is serious work going on at this end of Sydney Park and the area is fenced off. I will disable until I can check to see when it is accessible.
Always a lovely park to visit. Lots of people out on a sunny, windy Easter Sunday afternoon but very navigable. This was important because Mrs Gaztek had a knee replacement five weeks ago and Mr G is trying to keep her from doing too much too early. Tough job. We sorted out the GZ coordinates but found the area closed off
For an upcoming construction project. We see that Quasar found a way in a few weeks ago but, under the circumstances, thought it best and wait until the work is completed. We’ll be back. Cheers… Gaztek

Well after the relative ease of the Adventure Lab this was a higher degree of difficulty. Checked the coordinates a couple of times. No it's definitely in there behind that huge construction fence. Walked all around it and eventually found a small weak spot to make ingress. Found the cache in the fading light so I was vindicated! Thanks for this one! Not even any construction going on really.
Logical spot

After doing the Adventure Lab Cache part 1 I was able to find the bonus final quickly. Tftc!
Had a nice time wandering around the park once the dump of rain had stopped. A nice secluded spot from muggles.
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12199.
A nice ride around the area today gathering a few labs and their bonuses. I almost didn’t try this one as there were people in the shelter nearby but I just rode up to GZ and quickly retrieved the container.
Thanks Brewmaker for the cache.

(12 of 13 today - including 10 Adventure Labs)
Spent the morning at a CCEvent and then wandering around Sydney Park - a location I've been to for both events and caches previously.
Found everything I looked for - even if one took longer than it should.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Before finding this one I managed to snag all 10 Adventure Lab locations in the park for both "Parts". Those were:
# Alan Davison Oval
# Sydney Park Hill
# Stepping Stones
# Frog Pond
# Water Falls
# Freshwater Wetlands
# AIDS Memorial Grove
# Wirrambi Wetland
# The Human Sundial
# Chimneys and Kilns
###END OF ADVENTURE LAB SECTION###
By the time I was partway through the first AL I realised that I was doing it the wrong way around. Too late now!
I'd even met another cacher at my first location, and then a group at my fourth.
But after getting all the locations it was logical for me to head to this one.
Entered the GZ area the wrong way, and that set me up to fail - almost.
Checked a lot and nothing. Could see others had found it today, so I knew it was here somewhere.
And then I spotted something I'd missed due to my approach.
And from that moment I quickly had CIH!
Signed, replaced and decided to drive to the other location rather than keep walking, retracing my steps.

Completed the AL with Liz and Bruce. Nana Nel and wazza9 came along for the walk. Well hidden in a muggle free area of the park.
I’d left this one for another day, thinking I would need it for my streak year but after the 366 days passed this was still on my map. Since finishing the streak I’ve had a hard time getting motivated to go caching as much, but I’m sure it’s mostly end of year work burnout where I feel like I need to sleep a whole day on weekends!
Today I parked nearby and went in for the kill. My caching senses are still sharp!
TFTC and the AL Brewmaker. I think an FP is in order

We have spent the afternoon walking in park, this bonus was a nice quick find. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Brewmaker.
TFTC,
I spent the last 6 years prior to my retirement during lunch hours walking around and observing the construction of what is now a fantastic area for all to enjoy.
Completed the AL and with all the information we headed to GZ for the Bonus. Made a quick find and stamped the log before heading to an appointment.

This cache was an easy find in the obvious place after completing the adventure lab. It was a lovely walk through the park with other cachers to get to this point and some unexpected features were highlighted which we enjoyed. Thank you to Brewmaker for creating this cache.
Completed the adventure lab that took us to this point. No trouble in finding the container, log was signed and all replaced. Thanks for the AL and this cache placement.
Having done the AL on my last Sydney visit, it just left the bonus cache to find. A 40min return stroll from my office was the perfect plan during lunch and I was able yo make a simpilish find. The parks are very nice and a big thanks to Brewmaker for the fun and the adventure and for highlighting this park.

Now there's something familiar about the cache page for this one.
I come to this park quite regularly what with walking the dog, geocaching and an old friend living very nearby. They've done a great job bringing back what was a wasteland to a wonderful green space for everyone to enjoy.
Now these AL's take a fair bit of time and walking so I decided today was the day before the next round of rain and storms comes our way.
And what a day of exercise it turned out to be with 4 sets of tennis this morning then completing both AL's and the walk to each Bonus cache, and back to the geomobile.
I enjoy this park so it's OK and I might even sleep well tonight!
Intersting things - Found a golf ball along the way - don't think you're allowed to do that in this park! The wetland flood control wasn't working wonderfully as there was overflow water in many places. Striped Marsh Frogs were calling while I was at the Frog Pond. They were filming something at the AIDS memorial and of course ignored me but looked at me strangely while I did my thing.
With it being so much walking I stopped along the way to do a bird survey for the Birds in Backyards count which is happening this week. Turned out to be a great spot!

Everything has grown since the last time frazeydaze and I last visited the park. Its certainly turned into a lovely area with something for everyone. We felt out of place without a dog, however, there were plenty to go around. Nice to see the spring flowers starting to bloom also. All in all an enjoyable morning wandering around before lunch at the kiosk. Nearly forgot, I found a possum asleep in a large tree stump near gz while frazeydaze found the prize.

We had no problems with this bonus cache, nicely hidden but far enough away from people to allow a leisurely search and retrieve. Many thanks for a top AL and this bonus cache.
Found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H) . We were in the park for a walk with a friend. It was a fine day and there were many people around, strolling, walking dogs, having picnics and generally enjoying the day. We had no trouble doing the AL, however our friend tripped over a damaged garden guard and took a nasty fall. He insisted that we continued with the walk. Once we had all the needed clues we headed to the new GZ and started our search. My unit had trouble settling on GZ, while C made the find. Log signed and all replaced. TFTC.
After a wander around the park with Trodectus and a friend doing the AL we obtained the co-ords for GZ and headed off. Once at GZ, it was a quick find. Log signed and returned. TFTC
