After picking up another one of the [CO's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=eaa1e02c-5a02-4542-b1ad-d2e429ced493&wid=afae961a-695d-4418-8f13-865a5c26a891&ds=2) nearby **SideTracked** caches, [SideTracked - Cardinia Road (GC9VGZB)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9VGZB?luid=0d95dd14-e02f-4402-a00c-97baa35e4b40), I decided to continue on and try and hunt down some more **SideTracked** caches and with this one being the next nearest **SideTracked** cache it became my next target. It also didn't hurt that this cache was an **"Other"** size cache, as I have been trying to find more **"Other"** size caches in order to work on qualifying for one of [DARKSIDEDAN's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=2a2a54fb-66e6-4b02-ad79-fae27aa04984&wid=d76ce52b-99f9-47c6-b3ec-151b8ca2715d&ds=2) challenge caches, [CHALLENGE - The Odd-sized Cacher - Gold (GC93XJD)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC93XJD).There seems to be a bit of construction going on around the train station, which caused me a bit of trouble as I wasn't sure how to actually get to the car park. I ended up parking on a side street and had to navigate my way through the temporary fencing of the construction zone to get to GZ.When I got near GZ I was a bit nervous that I wasn't going to be able to access the cache, as there was temporary fencing near GZ. However, I began my search anyways and was able to quickly spot the cache. Although the cache was indeed on the other side of the temporary fencing, luckily I was still able to reach it. So I quickly grabbed it, signed the log and replaced it before next train came.A big thanks goes to [Pinkpiggy7](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=eaa1e02c-5a02-4542-b1ad-d2e429ced493&wid=416febe4-217a-40a9-9072-e207fb57186c&ds=2) for all the fun today. TFTC. **Cache Maintenance Status:**The cache container was in good shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. The logbook was also clean and dry. However, the logbook now is basically completely full.
Thanks for another fun cache! Thanks for find 385! And our 100th for Oct!
Out and about on night adventures with SteMicMitSar and KristyAdventures prior to the flash mob yearly event at 3am in Officer. This one was funny as I had said to the other two "I bet there's going to be crims or weirdos out here" and sure enough there were 3 of them. I'm glad I'm not alone out here. As we walked past them, I struck up a friendly conversation about footy with them to establish if they are friend or foe and luckily they were just young men who appeared hung over walking back to their car. We found the cache in a fenced off area but it was still accessible easily enough guarded by a 1000 ants On the walk back across the tracks we noticed a cop car slowly driving into the car park and I thought for sure we would be stopped but as we drove past them on the other side they weren't interested in us.Thank you for the cache here Pinkpiggy7
The crazy things we do on a geocaching search.. before a flash mob!Well it is quite easy to get side tracked here when the street signs say road closed but you persevere anyway only to find the road actually has a temporary end and you end up side tracked and detouring a very large block and across a major road to make it to the other side and finally the car park.there were some sad revelers lamenting their football teams loss when we arrived but fortunately for us we had more luck. we were able to maneuver a fence and quickly see the cache before I gave a little scream and nearly flung it far away as it had far too many ants crawling all over it! The cache was soon signed and back at the car, we had a police patrol car follow us to the next cache!
*Found on the 14 Sep 2024 @ 2:14AM.**Cache find # 15785.* Twas the night of the 3am event so why go to bed when there are caches to be found.I met up with OSHFAM & KristyAdventures for some night adventures before it was time to head off to the event. After finding a few target caches earlier on, we then headed to this area as it was close by to where we needed to be at 3am then we cached until it was time to go.We arrived at this one in a round about way because of the closed roads but the main thing is we got there in the end, we made our way over to GZ and spotted the cache but it was in the fenced off area, we soon rectified the problem and grabbed the cache, at the same time upsetting a 1000 ants, eventually we were able to get to the log and add our names to it.**Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
Woohoo, I finally made one of Pink Piggy's Flash Mob 3 am events. It is in my calendar every year, but I never seem to be able to make it. Mostly because I'm still sleeping or don't want to wake the family. However, this time, I was wide awake anyway, so why not be wid awake with a bunch of geocachers. Great turn out and a lot of chatting went on. So much so that the event went at least 30 minutes over time.I then thought I'd grab a few local geocaches that I've been avoiding because it is always busy when I'm in the area. The CO caught me at the first geocache, pretended to be the police and then gave me a hint. Second geocache, the real police pulled me over and wanted to know what a dodgy guy like me was doing at Officer train station at 4.30 in the morning. Fortunately, the third geocache was found without incident. Thanks for the cache, Pink Piggy 7.Hunter
Found it! Last cache find for the day. After gathering some more PIG finds, we stopped here for a break before heading home. Initially I thought the cache was in the fenced off area but it wasnt. A quick find at GZ. I think the ants are also enjoying the cache as it keeps the rain off I guess! TFTC SL
Took us a while.. 10 year old son thought it was a really cool camouflage!
With mitzi123456 and dot558 on our weekly geicaching before square dancing Thanks for the cache
Fourth find on a "mother/daughter" day out with Mila dog today. All is good with the cache. TNLN. TFTC
Found by The Empire + HThe sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the asphalt as we embarked on another road trip, this time setting our compass towards the coastal gem of Merimbula, NSW. Summer was the perfect companion for our journey, promising sun-kissed landscapes and a wealth of new discoveries along the way.Our first pitstop on this adventure was Lakes Entrance, a tranquil coastal town nestled at the entrance of the Gippsland Lakes. We took a slight detour, picking up some Sidetracked caches along the way! The cache descriptions hinted at the history and stories embedded in the surroundings, guiding us to secret spots and unexpected vistas. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7.-M
I needed to find this cache for two reasons. Firstly for the LGA and secondly I needed a Traditonl for today. By making the find I am another step closer to two challenges I am working on. Thank you for the challenge and the cache.z
I was out this way to find some caches, so here was I. Another quick SideTracked cache. Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.
YAY - found Side Tracked - Officer this afternoon. The area was very quite when I visited - no prying eyes to see what I was up to or trains coming through. Log was signed and I was off. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for setting up and maintaining this cache.PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures today.
Very cheeky one, was too ‘sidetracked’ but a kick of the shoe in frustration revealed the cache
We found this cache on our Casey and Cardinia Cache Hunt. That's one pot-holed road to this cache. Out second ever find at this station. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Another side tracked to add to our collection.
A nice quick and easy find in the drizzly rain.

Out and about early this morning on a mission today to grab a few SideTracked geocaches, especially the ones on railway lines...
Not sure whether I was allowed to or not but I drove down the track beside the line almost to the GZ for a quick find and was back on the road in no time flat.
**Thanks for placing this cache Pinkpiggy7**

We were having lunch at some friends' house in Officer. I knew there was a SideTracked at Officer, so after lunch we set to go find. We noticed however, that Cardinia Road was closer, so we stopped there first before coming here.
I don't think we parked in the best location. We had to trapes through the mud to get here. Fortunately we had a quick and easy find when we got there. We made it back to the car just before the rain really set in.
Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7. We love trains and we love SideTracked caches.

You know I don't plan these out, I just sort of wing it and hope for the best. I like the sidetracked caches and so here I am a little after midnight scamming the rules for what a cache a day looks like.
This cache saw me driving up what I think is a road. At least the Google Map Dude says its a road. Dirt muddy and riddled with potholes, I dont even think you can call it a horse trail. Oh well, it's after midnight and the car fits.
No one was about and the light seems triggered by the movement to dish out extra light. Fancy!
After getting the cache, I realised I'd left my pen in the car. Walked back to the car, get a pen, sign the log, drop the baggie, chased the baggie about, dropped the log, yell at clouds, and replace the cache. Another one was done and dusted.

I had come over to Berwick today to complete the **Trusty Trees** wherigo to help me qualify for a challenge... and as the last leg of it required a bit of a drive, I stopped off along the way for some more caches in the **SideTracked** series.
Thanks **Pinkpiggy7** for placing this cache... an easy find if you have seen that sort of thing before... the most difficult part of the whole exercise was negotiating the potholes in the access road... maybe I should be doing these by train

Once again we spotted the now familiar flat one.

Chiefton!!!
After no luck at Berwick we went on to beacy to find the next cache outbound. We are doing the sidetracked series today on the Pakenham line. we then went on to officer to be greeted by not just the cache but a swarm of ants inside! After a quick scuffle along the grass all was good and log was signed and we were back on our way en route to Cardinia road. Perfect school holiday activity. Tftf
Today we decided to get sidetracked with ilook4geo and concentrate on some of the many sidetracked caches available on the eastern side of the city and further out. It rained of course, but that did not hinder our plan too much. This was a nice quick and easy find and the log soon had two more names added to it. Thanks go to Pinkpiggy7 for adding to the sidetracked series by placing this cache.
Came along with goingplaces2 to gather some more sidetracked caches for the collection. We had a good day, though wet, with both names being added to each log found. All was good here. TFTC.
Out for a bit of geocaching today .. Upper Beac seemed like a good idea. There are still a few caches in the area I am yet to claim… looks like mainly Pinkpiggy7’s caches today .. I appreciate all the effort you put into adding to out geocaching experience Pinkpiggy7 .. this one was a quick find… another to add to my SideTracked finds
After a quite of bit of look, we found it in the grass & we returned to the original home. TFTC
We were convinced it was gone but one last look and how could we not have seen it?!
I had a great time finding your cache Pinkpiggy7, thank you so much for placing it.
SideTracked find 133.
On the rail side coming from the city, the cache is very convenient to get to. Possibly the most convenient of all those on this line, but then, I was in the last carriage which added to the convenience and from there a very short walk. I spotted the cache on approach. Cache and log are good. Then it was a few steps back to the train platform and to wait for the train to Cardinia Road. A favourite tick for this one. TFTC Pinkpiggy7.

Bunadoorian and I were out this way for a change so we decided to come and pick up a couple of the SideTracked series caches. This was our first one for the day. As we approached towards GZ a couple of muggles were standing in this vicinity. They soon moved towards the station which meant we were able to collect the cache. TFTC and for bringing us here Pinkpiggy7
A couple of muggles were here but they proved to be not a problem. A nice easy find was had when we worked out where GZ was. TFTC.
We had been in the nearby area for Operation logbook! Some of the Mega committee working on an assemble, staple, chop and stuff.
Didn’t get too sidetracked with this one.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

After spending half the day finishing off some mega business in Narre Warren, it was time for a spot of caching.
Log was slightly damp. I wonder if it’s the angle? Returned with bag upside down. See if that helps.

Found with PapaGrouch. A bit interesting accessing the area, the map I had insisted that there were roads through a gate, didn't look like it to us. We got there in the end and made the quick find. TFTC
These Side Tracked caches have popped up in the last six months while we were away.
Our mechanic is just across the railway line from here and as we were on our way there to pick up Mrs Crackers car after it had been towed there on a tow truck earlier this week we decided to stop and have a look for this one.
There were no commuters to be seen so the cache was a nice quick grab and our name was added to the log before returning everything as we found it.
Thanks Pinkpigg7 for the cache , now off to pick up the car with it's nice new starter motor.

Another caching day out with Omegaman1971, we were keen to do some of the side Tracked caches that had been popping up on the map, it was amazing to see some of the transformation at some of the locations, I had a bus run that went from warragul to Nar Nar Goon so I know those stations and areas well, we also enjoyed he Remembering caches by Pink Piggy and a coupe of other caches that were on route.
This is one of the caches found today.

Haven't cached around here for ages, was great to see some new caches.
I'm really loving this Sidetracked series, great to see so many CO's jumping on board.
Cheers for the cache.

After a road trip to Sydney in the last few days to find a golden dragon, I also finally had Australia's oldest cache found so I needed a cache placed in June to qualify for a Jasmer challenge I had signed in SA last year so headed out along the highway with my geokid to get sidetracked with a few of the new caches along the railway line.
Quite a lot of cars here, managed to use the 2 minute parking bay and I reckon we only just did it in that time.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

A nice quick find here after grabbing the Beaconsfield Sidetracked cache.
So there's no parking really for this train station at all? I guess it's mainly used for the local school kids.....

Shenanigans were going to happen today, it was just a question of what form they took. The original plan was to visit as many SideTracked caches as possible on the rails, but the weather and a couple of other obligations prompted a rethink. Anyway, between exchanging some defective footwear and meeting n0w0rries to join forces, a cache was published.
And after we'd managed to log that one before anyone else, of course we celebrated by visiting a few more stations and points in between.
Third station and virtually a drive-by on a quiet, wet Sunday. No surprise by this point as to what we'd find, but a surprising joint 2TF to go with the first and third.
Thanks, Pinkpiggy7

Well that was unexpected! I’d literally just driven past Station St when my phone pinged. Imagine my surprise when I pulled over and saw it was in Officer So a quick U-turn and hoping my message hadn’t been delayed and the FTF was long gone, but no, I was greeted by a nice clean log sheet.
