25-Oct-24
Well my hunt for **SideTracked** caches continued today and as this one was my last unfound **SideTracked** cache in the area, it quickly became the primary target for today. I actually got off work a bit early today, which gave me plenty of time to head down to the Beaconsfield area to pick up a few caches, but as this one was the primary target it became my first stop.So after work I hopped in the geomobile and made my way to the train station. Since I had come down on the M1 I ended up approaching GZ from the south. So with not knowing the parking situation at the train station, I actually pulled into Manna Gum park and ended up parking in the park's carpark before continuing to GZ on foot. Well the weather was absolutely stunning today and so the walk to GZ was a great way to take in some fresh air and a bit of sunshine. I quickly spotted the probable beacon on my approach to GZ, which was good as there was a bit of construction going on around the train station and there was literally a construction worker directing traffic right across the street from GZ. Luckily, I was able to spot the cache as soon as I made it to GZ and so I had to turn on my best stealth mode to retrieve the cache, sign the log, and replace it before the construction worker noticed what I was doing. Well I am not sure I was too stealthy at the end, because after I replaced the cache and turned around the construction work was staring directly at me. However, I don't think they really cared what I was doing and were just bored, so I think the cache will be safe for another day. A big thanks goes to [Pinkpiggy7](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=eaa1e02c-5a02-4542-b1ad-d2e429ced493&wid=394b7ec1-3b13-4c3c-b094-d088c996c736&ds=2) for another fun **SideTracked** cache. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape, the attachment mechanism still seemed strong, and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Im down in Berwick today looking at cars with a friend. The geopooch needed a run so we stopped at this park for a well earned wander. A quick find here made a great addition to our walk. SideTracked - Beaconsfield is find number 4,279 for me. A fun other sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Cardinia Shire. I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Friday 25 Oct 2024 at 2:43 pm and the weather is Scattered Clouds 16C 50% 1 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy Pinkpiggy7.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*

Found by The Empire + HThe sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the asphalt as we embarked on another road trip, this time setting our compass towards the coastal gem of Merimbula, NSW. Summer was the perfect companion for our journey, promising sun-kissed landscapes and a wealth of new discoveries along the way.Our first pitstop on this adventure was Lakes Entrance, a tranquil coastal town nestled at the entrance of the Gippsland Lakes. We took a slight detour, picking up some Sidetracked caches along the way! The cache descriptions hinted at the history and stories embedded in the surroundings, guiding us to secret spots and unexpected vistas. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7.-M

24 December 2023 7:05 pmOut and about with Brain this afternoon, cleaning up the Berwick area a little bit before heading on over to PinkPiggy7's annual pre-Xmas celebrations. With myself wanting to clean up the gardens a bit we were off on foot in a race against the clock...... but turns out we had a little bit more time than expected as I didn't read the daylight saving opening hours..... ah well all in all the walk in the gardens was good fun with only one snake spotted this time. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

Had time for 1 geocache on the road and 999HK had already found this one. Think this might be the only one she has found that I hadn't, so time to change that. Clearly came from the wrong direction as there was no car parking and I had to do a u turn. Then found it only to discover that I had left my pen in the car. Back to the car to get the pen and find the cache again. Thanks for the cache Pink Piggy 7Hunter

We have been enjoying this side tracked series of caches and were happy when one turned up just around the corner from home. Unfortunately we were in Geralton Western Australia when it did so had no hope of a FTF.
I was heading into the Airport to pick Diane up and we needed a cache for the streak challenge souvenieer.
After parking in a near by park a nice walk was had to an area where there was not too many places to hide a cache so this one was a nice quick find as well.
Many thanks for placing another Side Tracked cache.

I'm on a mission to get the souvenirs this month, which means midnight runs to Beaconsfield. caching at 11.59 pm is heaps of fun, and you can basically turn all caches into park and grabs. I parked where ever I liked and made the short run to the cache. There are not too many places to hide one at this location and it was nice to see the fun type of micro-ish style instead of those evil thumb-sized things. Thanks for placing this one, I'm enjoying collecting as many sidetracked caches as possible.

10-Jun-23
Another day, another cache to be found as we attempt this months Wheel of Challenges souvenirs. We don’t usually chase souvenirs, however we are working towards qualifying for one of the many challenge caches we have signed.

Once again, whilst I was sidetracked doing other things, Steve handled this on his own. With limited time today, we was very pleased with a nice quick find.

Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for adding another SideTrack cache to this series.

I had come over to Berwick today to complete the **Trusty Trees** wherigo to help me qualify for a challenge... and as the last leg of it required a bit of a drive, I stopped off along the way for some more caches in the **SideTracked** series.

Thanks **Pinkpiggy7** for placing this cache... an easy find if you have seen that sort of thing before... the most difficult part of the whole exercise was finding somewhere to park my car... maybe I should be doing these by train Surprised

Today we decided to get sidetracked with ilook4geo and concentrate on some of the many sidetracked caches available on the eastern side of the city and further out. It rained of course, but that did not hinder our plan too much. This was a nice quick and easy find and the log soon had two more names added to it. Thanks go to Pinkpiggy7 for adding to the sidetracked series by placing this cache.

We had been in the nearby area for Operation logbook! Some of the Mega committee working on an assemble, staple, chop and stuff.

After grabbing the nearby cache we proceeded with caution to the next spot as what appears to be a faulty flood sign continued to flash. Absolutely no sign of any floods and vehicles driving back and forth through the dry road.

Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

After spending half the day finishing off some mega business in Narre Warren, it was time for a spot of caching.

A quick find. Thankfully the floodzone flashing lights were a False alarm.

Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Pinkpiggy7

quick find, tftc! Smile

This was a quick and easy find after we parked at the local train station and took a little walk, this was originally spotted by the Geo wife as we drove through this intersection, and as we got to it, it was even more obvious... so now a little further down and not facing the road should keep it a little safer. Found by Rebel Acts.

Another caching day out with Omegaman1971, we were keen to do some of the side Tracked caches that had been popping up on the map, it was amazing to see some of the transformation at some of the locations, I had a bus run that went from warragul to Nar Nar Goon so I know those stations and areas well, we also enjoyed he Remembering caches by Pink Piggy and a coupe of other caches that were on route.

This is one of the caches found today.

Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.

Found by Omegaman1971

Catching up with Rebel Acts after some work in the morning nearby.

Haven't cached around here for ages, was great to see some new caches.
I'm really loving this Sidetracked series, great to see so many CO's jumping on board.

Cheers for the cache.

Wow, first cache of this kind for me! Tricky one but if you listen to the navigation you'll be fine

Beautiful sunset at the station too

Annoyed it took me so long but nice little cache

28-Jun-22
This is the first of the SideTracked caches I’ve had a chance to find. Staying in a motel around the corner from the railway station, I decided to walk around the block, look for this cache and go back via the Fire Station, collect the numbers required for the Multi starting there. The electronic finding device indicated that the cache was way out there! We’ll there was only one place where it could be. I started searching the only thing that could hide a cache in the vicinity. Ah! That type of cache. Familiar, but still unusual. Thanks for the hunt, Team Pinkpiggy07!

A bit of a tricky park here, but it wasn't busy. Grabbed the cache straight away as we were close.
Log signed and all back safe again.
Thanks.
I love the old station building here and hope the preserve it.

13-Jun-22
After a road trip to Sydney in the last few days to find a golden dragon, I also finally had Australia's oldest cache found so I needed a cache placed in June to qualify for a Jasmer challenge I had signed in SA last year so headed out along the highway with my geokid to get sidetracked with a few of the new caches along the railway line.

It's handy having a plain white ute, makes you look more like a council worker when you park right next to the cache.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

13-Jun-22
We came here on our way to Cranbourne to clean up some of the Sidetracked series. This was our second for the day.

10-Jun-22
I had a hour to kill before an appointment in Pakenham after dropping kid #2 at work nearby. I should’ve guessed it wouldn’t be a park and grab based on the area, bit of a chilly walk but always worth it. A nice easy find and I’m loving the new log sheet holding mechanism, it works great!

Thanks Pinkpiggy7

Shenanigans were going to happen today, it was just a question of what form they took. The original plan was to visit as many SideTracked caches as possible on the rails, but the weather and a couple of other obligations prompted a rethink. Anyway, between exchanging some defective footwear and meeting n0w0rries to join forces, a cache was published.

And after we'd managed to log that one before anyone else, of course we celebrated by visiting a few more stations and points in between.

Aha! One of those.

Thanks, Pinkpiggy7

Thank you for adding to this iconic series Pp7.
Another quick find here.

3TF with nirgalagrin on a cold wet winter's afternoon.

04-Jun-22
When this was published last night I was enjoying a few celebratory drinks so didn't attempt the (FTF). I kept an eye on it over the night and wondered who would get it.

I went to bed and forgot all about it, had a nice sleep in this morning and remembered and decided to check, not thinking it would still be unfound.

When I saw that no logs had been made yet I decided to make a quick run out to grab it, I still thought that someone would have found it earlier this morning but hadn't logged it yet but nope, a blank logsheet was found.

Signed and replaced.

Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for another cache and another FTF.

**Find #4826**
**Traditional Find #3018**

I had to run a few errands this afternoon and having done that, I headed here on my way home. I parked down the road in the Manna Gum Park carpark, a place that I've been to at least twice to find now archived caches and then I walked back. I needed to get my daily step count up so it was good exercise. There was only one place the cache could be and I quickly spotted a familiar type of hide. On a Saturday afternoon, GZ was muggle central. A train pulled into the station, a couple of dog walkers walked past and there was an almost endless stream of cars. I eventually got a break and retrieved the log, signed it and returned it. Smile

**Thank-you to Pinkpiggy7 for placing this geocache**
