Here is an easily qualified for cache that I had completely overlooked Red Face ....Visited and signed with catnap777 on the 4th day of our holiday caching in NSW and the ACT. We had been enjoying looking back over our shoulders occasionally to see the ever diminishing dish through the canopy, but here it had finally gone from our view. Apologies for the generic logs. After a couple of false starts and deferments a date was finally selected for another trip up the Bullen Range to collect some more in this area. Unfortunately our group had dwindled, but minniek, fitzy_1965, albida33, Nibletricecakes, Gliss! MtbikerOZ and isopeda were available to join in the fun. Mother nature gave us great weather for a walk. After meeting in the carpark it was time for the group to head up a familiar track to slowly tick off our list of UFO's and some of the new challenges. There were a couple of tree climbs which took a bit of thinking to get the right approach and find natures tools to make a climbing platform. The walk was tough, or perhaps it wasn't and FFLL no 2 was just out of condition. But the loop took us up and down along fire trails, and some bush bashing across the gullies. But all in all a successful day and great fun with a good bunch of people. All the logs were signed AAA. Thanks to all the CO's for the adventure and the fun. Looking forward to the next adventure. FurfacesLL fulfils challenge Another Three in the ACT Challenge (GC9VKN8), according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9VKN8/69228

Back out on the Bullen Range to do more of the UFO series. Teamed up with the AAA team today to collect caches in the lower part of the Range. Hard to believe that it has been about a year since we were last out this way.We had such a glorious Autumn day and managed to pick up all the caches we went for. Thanks to all caches owners for placement.[minniek](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=minniek) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9VKN8/69228 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.County: **Australian Capital Territory** (3) Multi-cache - GC4VFF2 / Swinger Summit / 2016-02-17 Traditional Cache - GC4G4FK / Wattle Wall / 2016-01-29 Unknown Cache - GC150PY / sister aCT / 2016-06-27

Today I joined Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, MinnieK, Fitzy_1965, FurfacesLL, albida33, and mtbikeroz for a hike to collect a few more of the UFO series caches. We signed as A or A cubed or AAA for "April Alien Adventure".The weather was favourable, my knee was good enough for up and downs and a few tree climbs, and the company was, of course, excellent. The first half of the hike was on the fire trail and easy going, the second half - the way back in a loop - had some tricky gullies and tee tree to navigate through. After missing out on a few previous trips across this area, I was very happy to be able to join in today. It seems that I qualified for this challenge in 2012!TFTCQUALIFIED:[isopeda](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=isopeda) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9VKN8/69228 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.County: **Australian Capital Territory** (3) Multi-cache - GCVB24 / The Breather / 2012-10-26 Traditional Cache - GC1GP4K / A Very Naas Shed / 2012-10-20 Unknown Cache - GC1DDA6 / Lake Burley Griffin - Bridging The Gap / 2012-10-30

April Alien Adventure. We left the tracking station car park and headed up a fairly easy spur to the top (ridge line) track and scouted around the SW portion of the Bullen range collecting the SW UFO caches and a few others in our big loop. Generally easy going except a few steep bushy gullies for the last few caches. A weather perfect day for caching and climbing, thanks to DSD for the caches.Coming down from the Virtual cache (Trig point also), WOW, what a difference in merely 1 month. The fire trail we came down was cleared of all scrub, bushes, grass etc yet only a month ago when I came down this very track on my Mountain Bike, the centre strip and the edges had so much 2m high vegetation growing that we could only ride down the vehicle tyre tracks zone but even then we were being smashed by vegetation as we cruised down the hill. Now, ALL GONE: obviously cleared TOTALLY to make way for the fire trucks in the very recent burnoff. But anyways, a great day and thanks for the wonderful fun day with the 8 cachers.

It seems it has been 12 months since we were last out this way collecting UFOs. In the mean time our crew has had broken bones, weddings, and many a trip away. Great to finally be back out in the ranges together. Caching today with FurfacesLL, albida33, Fitzy_1965, Minniek, Isopeda, mtbikerOZand GLISS! Signing today as A cubed (or AAA) for April Alien Adventure. Cheers to the great weather, great company and great series of caches. Thanks for the cache will check soon if I qualify.

Found with minniek and the rest of Team A Cubed for April Alien Adventure (albida33, isopeda, Nibletricecakes, GLISS!, FurfacesLL and mtbikeroz). The trip for this section of the (mainly) UFO caches had been delayed a few times, and thus a few members left our team, but we had finally agreed on a convenient date, and eight hardy Cachers assembles for our April Alien Adventure (it always sounds cooler when you have a team name Smile . Parking at the Tracking Station, we headed up the side of the Range where we descended last time in order to continue along from the last adventure up here. This proved a very sensible route as we were soon up on the fire trail and starting to seek out the caches. There were no problems with the caches unless otherwise stated. Once the UFO caches were found, it was time for the downwards slog for the Challenges, Multis and Trads (the UP part of this was a bit of a surprise !). Once at GZ it was a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then we started off track for the next few hours of bush bashing. Thanks DSD !! Interesting to see how this trail has opened up after the burnoff. I will check all the Challenges for qualification later.

UFO Westside Southern Section. After several deferments and a loss of large segments of our team to others trips, I was happy to get the chance to head up into the Bullen Ranges today for a bite at some more UFO caches and the new(ish) run of challenges and other caches across the west flank back to the tracking station. The team today was Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, MinnieK, Fitzy_1965, FurfacesLL, MtbikerOZ and myself. We signed as A cubed. The puzzles were all solved before this visit, and even most of the multi work had been done on previous visits, so today it was just the challenge of reaching the caches and finding the containers. There were a few tree climbs, but our collection of monkeys managed all of those as necessary. I was a little confused by the difference between the contour lines on the maps and the HUGE gullies we came across along the way, particularly towards the end of the day. There was some very thick undergrowth in places, but all in all the scrub is in great condition, even the burn offs seem to have been done in a way that leaves lots of trees intact. I thank my fellow travelers and am looking forward to the next effort in the hills behind Canberra. This is where we said goodbye to the track and spent the next three and a bit hours in the scrub.Qualification details--[albida33](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=albida33) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9VKN8/69228 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.County: **Australian Capital Territory** (3) Multi-cache - GC6A62 / Vernons View / 2006-01-31 Traditional Cache - GCRXAR / The Valley 7 / 2006-01-14 Unknown Cache - GCJECT / Glebe Gates / 2006-01-18--Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN46325.14 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Townsville Mascots A#483**Albida**

Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team waldron, courtney rose, davidwazza, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. Red FaceVisited and signed with catnap777 on the 4th day of our holiday caching in NSW and the ACT. CoolWe got smart and did what we could of the "walky" ones on our wish list at the start of each day leaving our afternoons/evenings for finding driveby caches and challenges to sign. Razz When we left for home, we had quite a collection to sort out. TwistedAgain we had a long list and a tight schedule, and again we have been amazed at what we can achieve in the time we have. Cache found and log signed with dalerious Razz. We came to Canberra with an immense and impressive list of caches. There was a huge variety and types, covering Yass and Goulburn as well Cool. The priority for us this trip, was to sign as many Challenge caches as we could. There were many we had to hike for Big Grin. There were a few that were not found which was disappointing, but plenty that were found and signed. Some beautiful country was covered by foot and vehicle, and we had a ball.I will be using this generic log for all of the Challenge caches, but I will mention if there was an issue with the hide, container or log where possible Big Grin. Please accept my humble thanks for all CO's effort on placing out these awesome Challenges for us to find, sign and one day qualify for.I have logged all as a Write Note, and I will duly log them as Found as I start to work through them all Razz.

This one was a quick find at GZ.

A great hike with the Bullen Range 7 (signing as BR7) which consisted of Toy Hunter, baristayan, buckoraider, contesta, pantspeople, sebass19 and me. A lot of bush bashing and along the Fire trail in the Bullen Range NR on the south east side and west of the Murrumbidgee starting from the Deep Space Station.
Up and down along and getting glimpses of the Hills in the background. Diving into the bush down steep bit in the last third to get to the harder once. We made it a great loop today that contesta had planed for us today. What a great comeback of the UFOs. About 14km in about 7h and 30(+) caches later we returned to the deep space station carpark. No DNFs and the caches were in good shape. This was a very enjoyable hike, the weather was not hot, rather a very comfortable 18 degrees max today with glorious sunshine. A great real exercise and adventure like only caching can give you. Thank you for the very enjoyable company today!

And thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the great cache series out and maintaining it. What an effort indeed!

Found with Bullen Range 7 (BR7) which consisted of myself, baristayan, buckoraider, contesta, Flintstone's, pantspeople and sebass19. Absolutely massive day of caching. Lots of going up and down hills and portions of bush bashing and rough ground terrain but we all kept in good spirits with lots of laughs. Amazing views all around and a very peaceful area, saw absolutely no one else other than a park ranger. On a day that makes me embarrassed to be a Western Bulldogs supporter, this walk was a major highlight! Thank you everyone! TFTC DSD!

Logged today as part of the BR7 crew, which also included Baristayan, Contesta, ToyHunters, Sebass19, Flintstones and Pantspeople.

Absolutely glorious all day and hardly a breath of wind. Came in from the western side, and headed south along the fire trail up top, ducking in and out where necessary to find as many caches as possible.

This is officially the first challenge cache I’ve ever logged! Incredible scenes…thanks

Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases

It turns out this challenge was way easier in the trip we took to get to sign the log.
This said, we had a really spectacular day walking around the Bullen Ranges once again. It definitely won’t be our last visit! So many to find up there.
Qualified!!

Thanks Darksidedan

A perfect winters day to be out in the Bullen Ranges.
Some wind, but not too cold, and a great time of the year to be out meandering in this area.
We have signed the log here on our walk today and will check if we qualify.
Thanks Darksidedan

Beautiful day after yesterday and worth going for a walk in the Bullen Range. Parked at the tracking station. I did consider paddling across the river but glad I di not as it was pretty full and flowing well. TFTC.

What a glorious day to go for a hike!

Teamed up with AngelG27 along with the geochaps comprising of Search4, TikvaNZ and Fox in Jox (signed as FASTS). Great fun with this lot! Big Grin The focus of the day was to nab the recently published caches in Bullen Range and a few others along the way.

Easily qualify for this one! Found and signed with Search4.

Found on a sunny autumn day, with injuryman.
Since this cache was published about ten months ago, it has been on my to-do list. But I never seemed to get over that way. I find that part of the Bullen Range really hard to access. I get a bit nervous because once you leave the main ridge, reception gets patchy then soon disappears.
No problems finding the cache at GZ. A very obvious spot.
I qualify!
Thanks for the challenge and for the cache, DSD.

A great little spot half way up this side of the mountain. Decided on a late arvo stroll at the back of Bullen today and thought I would wander out to pick up this cool challenge cache seeing as though I qualify (can't get the other unfortunately, don't use whereigo). Thanks DSD!

I was there on placement but actually did not realise these were the challenge ones. It was a hectic day for walking that day. Up for the CITO and some UFO's. So glad we got to walk down this hill. Very hard work but rewarded with lots of lovely DT's. And this one was a nice addition. Thanks for the challenge DSD.

A milder winter morning presented the perfect opportunity to head back to the Bullen Range Adventure Playground with StarsAlign in search of the final three UFOs, and two new challenge cahces I had yet to visit. Selecting some appropriate TOTTs, we headed along a very familiar trail with some cycling, some hiking and a little bit of tree climbing.

This cache was located without issue and in good condition.

A brilliant morning ride and impeccable company.

Thanks for the excellent Bullen Range caches, DSD - they provide a great excuse to get to a bit of the bush not many people see.

*FTF* 9.00am with Tankengine on a lovely sunny winters day. There was snow on the hills but the sun was shining and the trail was steep enough to keep things warmed up nicely. Nice that this was easy for any one to access, the hills are tough enough without needing to climb trees as well out here!!! As a non tree climber... Thank you! Project GC says I qualify.

Cache 9016 on 12 Jun 2022.

One of the caches a group of us placed after attending a CITO on Bullen range. A real group effort with many of us contributing to the cache, it’s placement and suggested DT. A fun day and around a 11km walk in gorgeous CBR autumn weather. Logging now that FTF has been claimed.

I certainly do qualify for this challenge, do I really need to use the checker Wink

Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and the fun!

Now that ftf has been gobbled up, it's time to log, as I was part of this group to deploy a few choice caches. First time I'd wandered down this fire trail - quite pleasant.

NOT the first to find but we knew that as soon as we saw Tankengine’s car LOL.

Congratulations to Tankengine and Aquilus1.

BUT a great quick, short walk in glorious sunshine ️ this morning. Although there was snow on the close peaks I it was a comfortable hike in not very cold temperatures.

Worth a favourite point for getting us out here yet again in a beautiful location.

After attending a CITO on the top of Bullen Range, we grabbed the nearby virtual cache & traditional before starting the hike back down this steep fire-trail towards the cars with a large group of others! DSD wasn't even there, but somehow he still owns this cache...? Razz

Thanks for the bonus find and company by all on the way back down!

I was with a group of cachers that hid this cache after attending a nearby CITO today. We really enjoyed a group walk along the range and back down this hill and thought there were a couple if empty spots fir a cache. I have checked Project-GC and do qualify for this challenge.

Thanks for hiding this cache DARKSIDEDAN for me and others to find.

The CITO near a cluster of caches provided the incentive to do another walk on the Bullen Range. 9 of us started off for a wander up a spur to the ridge then along the fire trail to the CITO, collecting several UFOs on the way. It was a beautiful day to be out in the hills. By the time the CITO finished the numbers had grown by at least another 9. Afterwards we visited the nearby virtual, then dispersed in different directions, with 10 of us descending down the road then north to the cars via a few more caches. This cache was placed on our descent. TFTC.
