Yay, finished my meeting with some believers, and a fellow believer and went in search of the cache. Took longer than it should, had the wrong numbers. But PAF fixed
Found with Unssy on a drizzly afternoon following a joint meeting. First time caching with Unssy was a good reminder that even the experts go off track!
15:37After attending the Mexicans & Crow Eaters gathering by the river, we set about gathering a few smiley tokens for our geo-map before the rain. There was much discussion in the car about the number of Churches which have been rescued - Our thanks to 'Freddo' for adding this cache to the gameboard.37808*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
A delightful Adelaide afternoon today and we enjoyed getting out and about with our good friends Phetlern. We found a range of caches in some great locations. We have appreciated the opportunities to find these caches with quite a bit of preparation done for this visit. Thanks to Freddo, we have found a few of this breed of multi on this trip.
A quick hour or so of collecting caches was in order while doing Dads taxi duties. Seven caches were sought, six were foundthe exception was dog walker central. Thanks to all cache owners.
I decided to hunt for some geocaches in the Payneham area today so tried this one. I put in one of the dates based on the previous comments and searched for about 5 minutes before some cemetary workers stayed in the area. Will come back to it another day.
Out for a bit of a bike ride and trying to find a few geocaches. This took me a little longer than it should have, because I wasnt sure which date to use. I ended up using the second date.
There were two possible dates to use to calculate the final. I tried the first date and location looked ok but no real place to match the hint. I tried the other date and the calculated coordinates looked better. Cache found in a likely place. Thank you Freddo the Non Believer, for placing Used 2B a Church Micro #0314 - Payneham for the geocaching community.# # #15028 # #
Had another crack after seeing it was found yesterday.Actually a quick find after I turned 180 on where I had spent all my previous time looking!TFTC Freddo.
No Luck. I'm a newbie so not sure what I was looking for. Easy enough to find the new position using the date on the church, but just couldn't find it. Didn't want to go poking about near gravestones. A bit depressing since its supposed to be a simpler one! Might come back when I've got more experience.
Out and about collecting more smilies. Signed with Leap mega team nickname BOLD7. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.
Its adios to a few of the BOLD members heading home after a full on week. The rest of the BOLD crew head home tomorrow. After collecting luggage and short sheeting a few of the beds, there were a few short stops on the way to the airport and another Used 2B a Church micro to collect. Thanks Freddo for believing another stop is warranted.
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD9 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 9 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday. All challenges will be checked for qualifying at a future time.
GC9VNY9 Used 2B a Church Micro #0314 - PaynehamHappy Leap Year!A group of us are down from Darwin and Brisbane for the leap year mega event. Today we fly home in the afternoon so this is the last morning of grabbing a few more. To save space in the logs we have signed as BOLD7. Was meant to be BDLD7 but something got lost in translation. However 2 more have joined our team. So BOLD9 today it is. I have had a great time caching down here and will need to return with the family to explore the area (& caches) some more. There were 2 numbers but our first try worked with a quick find. TFTC Freddo
BOLD9 having a fab time in Adelaide and surrounds. Lots of laughs and some brilliant inventive caches.!thanks to all the COs
Oh My, not sure what day number this is cache wise nor what caches I did yesterday, we have been caching for a while and the days and the caches seem to run into each other now. We started early today and had the Grapes geoart in mind, along with some special caches as we passed. It will be nice to hopefully have another art completed without any holes. To save space on log sheets we signed as BOLD 9. I like this area and the caches were different in parts. Some nice puzzles to solve and some good placements. We thought we were going to be short on one cache but we ended up finding the bison on the ground. A quick tie up and all good to go. Thanks for the caches and the hides, sorry for the generic logs.
This took a bit longer to solve and find than I expected. But I found it in the end, the one place I overlooked the first time. TFTC
A Monday caching with Mr Froghoppin for a change of pace! nice warm day kept the muggles at bay A quick find of the usual satanic cache container... melt them down and make some nice nanos! Bless you Freddo for the cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------Caching country and city... wherever we go... In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid lumps falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Think Covid's over ? Well no, actually... and we don't want your flu, gastro or cold germs either - so practise safe caching please! Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! [:o)]C'est fini... For now... ... until next time! PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... it'll be fun and funky
Time for another crazy days caching with the cat, a warmish day enough to keep most parks and playgrounds muggle free and easier for searching, a trip to Adelaide would not be complete with out a church cache or two, a quick find here for us todayTFTC Freddo
Staying close so went for a stroll ... tried both dates to no avail. Need my buddy with me.
We came , we gathered our info.
Did our sums.
Off to GZ, a search .
No container, so we put a replacement out.
Hopefully Freddo the non believer can check on this one. Tftc

Found it on my second visit. Not really sure how I missed it the first time given it was easily spotted in a place I checked previously! The dog enjoyed a walk today when the sun finally came out and the location wasn’t too busy today given it is Good Friday. TFTC
I headed out to the eastern suburbs for a few caches of interest this morning, including this one.
The required information was collected and final coordinates calculated without any difficulty, then it was off to GZ for a quick find.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

Looked everywhere without being too disrespectful as we could. Tried both locations. Too good for us today.
Last time Owl was here she had 2 options, neither of which seemed to work. With a prior finder in tow Owl decided she had a guaranteed find. While they were retrieving the cache, cemetery workers turned up with a cry "Have you found it yet?", quickly followed by "Where was it?" Apparently they are amused by the cachers looking for the cache (but not by those who remove stones looking for it, especially as it isn't in the wall) but had never found it themselves. They declined to sign the log, but Owl did. They also admitted to having installed the contraption that makes the search much harder now. Future cachers may choose to wave in a friendly manner at the cameras watching them.
Today no one around so was an easier search and spotted in first place I checked. TFTC Freddo
After the Freddo Vietnamese event I went out for some caches in the suburbs on foot around Norwood and St Peters, then some down south.
Hmm. I was positive I had the right numbers, but I didn't find anything at GZ.
Will have to return.
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.

It's not usually a caching day if we don't find a U2B or 3 - today being no different .
As others have done before, we looked at both sets of numbers before making the find .

After a quick calculation, I had to embarrassingly PAF to confirm that I was in the right place. The hint is correct and you can reach there.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Freddo the Non Believer.

This one was too good for me spent a while at both sets of coordinates but could not locate this elusive cache. TFTH
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Was running an errand nearby so just had to detour by and make the find
Hmmm, like most, 2 dates so made 2 sets of coordinates, one of which was not at all likely so went to the GZ of the other set of coordinates. Looked at the obvious spot but something there was not right so explored around but found nothing. PAF to the CO who Co fitmed the obvious, but when I explained why I discounted it, turns out GZ is a little different from when it was originally hidden. Then quickly retrieved the cache, signed the log and then replaced as found.

Back today after a previous DNF because I used 2B doing something wrong last time I was here. Much easier this time round except for the funeral that was actually happening. TFTC
Today I headed to the Pi event in Norwood and with 2 hours to kill I decided to finish off some multis that I had started but yet to find.
I arrived and was unsure if which date to use so made two sets of coords and found the cache at one of them, nicely hidden and is all good

Stopped by on my way to the gym. A quick collection & calculation of the numbers then a short stroll to GZ. Nothing, not a thing……okay, need to get my A into G and get off to the gym.
Come back after the gym and this time I use the other date, recalculate a new GZ and take another short stroll to GZ
This looks more promising & after a quick feel around, here’s the hide treasure

A Friday Frolic for members of Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group had us in and around the City in search of solved puzzles and anything else we came across. Today it was myself, Blackadders and AnyMules. It was surprising to see how many new caches had appeared near the City since we had last cached around here not all that long ago!
I googled and got two dates. Both resulted in nearby locations and I picked the most likely. [^] We went to the most likely but didn't find a cache in the obvious spot. So we went to the other place and didn't find a cache either. Back to the first spot and a further search revealed the cache.
***Thanks Freddo for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

The usual Wednesday Wander deferred to a Friday as other commitments restricted all members of the group to go out on our usual day.
With the honour of having a Mule with us for a few hours the Adder met the Starfish in Hindmarsh before picking up Anymules from the city.
A number of different types were targeted, mostly newer hides since our last attempt at clearing out around the city.
As always, all caches were visited and signed by all members of the group or each member had a part to play in retrieving the prize.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
A little confusion on what date was needed, trying both possibilities we attempted our first set of coordinates first and with a little thought of "where would Sir Freddo hide a mint tin" the Starfish came up trumps with the hide.
Thank you for the cache Freddo the Non Believer Find Number 9776 on 1/07/2022

After an early morning event in North Adelaide I had a few caches that I wanted to find on a round about route home. [^]
I had solved this one from the comfort of my home computer so it was just a case of heading straight for GZ where the cache was soon found.
Thanks for the cache Freddo.

I had solved this on the day of publication, and confirmed by the FTF. Today on my 'round the town' tour I stopped by here and added my name into the book. Thanks for the MC Freddo, nice work. Oh, a narrow one. Great paint matching, well done.
Always an interesting spot to wander around. Keep cool and cache.
Found as part of the 20th JLWE event run. Fun stuff for all who cache!
Thanks Freddo and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

Needed to head over to the other side of town for another visit to the doctor so of course had to find some caches as well. Must have found too many as ended up being 10 minutes late instead of being early as usual. Ended the day with 2 Game Set and Matches, 3 of my old favourites, traditionals and 4 Used 2B a Churches.
First for the day and a nice quick find after getting the date and calculating GZ.
Thanks to Freddo the Non Believer for putting out this cache for us to find.

Another lucky FTF. I had come down the hill for a breakfast event in Norwood, and thereafter headed to the top of The Parade for a Used2B to log a multi for this calendar day. Mission accomplished, I was heading south on Portrush Rd when I got notification of this one. I’m trying to get a FTF in as many LGAs as possible and I don’t currently hold Norwood/Payneham/St Peters, and so there was definite interest here. With a U turn on Portrush Rd out of the question, it was an exciting drive around the block and on to WP1 via Glynburn Road. I felt sure that some of the other breakfast attendees would beat me, but I arrived to a blank log book.
The week is off to a great start; thanks so much Freddo.
