Found by The Empire + HWe hit the trails again today, the occasional showers adding a refreshing element to the drive. Each time the rain fell, the earthy scent of wet eucalyptus and native trees filled the air, making the entire landscape feel alive. The rain left the gravel tracks slick but manageable, and the morning passed as we wound through the bushland, the sound of raindrops tapping softly on the car roof.We kept a steady pace, enjoying the quiet roads and the peacefulness of the trail, with just the occasional bird or kangaroo to break the stillness. We climbed a few trees, used my new caching pole on some caches, and found plenty of easy ones. I'm not sure if Ill qualify for many of the challenge caches, though, since Ive never cached in Western Australia. But thats something I plan to fix in 2025, and Im looking forward to claiming those smilies then! Thanks for the cache, and the series e.gregory1.-M"Attend 30 CITO events in Australia"Qualifying 13 / 30, FAILED"Attend at least 1 CITO event iin each of 3 different Australian States or Territories."Australian Capital Territory- 2024-04-01 GCAKTJF - Capital Geobash CITO (Cache In Trash Out Event)South Australia- 2014-04-20 GC50KJK - Primp the Old Princess (Cache In Trash Out Event)Victoria- 2016-11-12 GC6RQQB - The Surf Coast CITO - I (Cache In Trash Out Event)Qualifying 3 / 3, PASSEDAll tests, Qualifying 1 / 2, FAILED

Well when this log was signed we were a little short on cleaning up parts of Australia. We have gradually cleaned up in a few more places and we checked tonight to discover that we finally meet this criteria. We have enjoyed getting down and dirty, clearing weeds, planting in wetlands and placing mulch in needed places. A variety of adventures to help our planet. We look forward to more of these also. Thanks e.gregory1Domsky

I checked on all the caches in this series today, undertook some minor maintenance where required on a few and repositioned some back to where they should be. I was quite surprised at what good condition they were actually all in! I have also adjusted the difficulty ratings on a number of the caches to better reflect the challenge difficulty as determined by Project-GC. Enjoy!

Signed this cache a few days ago on my first trip to the south and now I've checked and ProjectGC gives me a nice green tick so now I can convert it to a found. TFTC

After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future ??Snickersallan fulfills challenge 'Straya' #07 - 30 CITOs Challenge (GC9VYAF) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges ??

A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group is working from Murray Bridge, in particular these Challenge Caches. We are using the Acronym 5 for QLD to sign the log sheets. As this is a bulk GSAK logging, I do not have time to check the individual cache to see if I qualify just yet. That will come later. Today, I am just recording that my name is in the log Sheet. It was a pleasant drive through that countryside, and we were pleased to find all the caches on our list.

In SA for the Great Leap Forward mega event and spent some time down at Tailem Bend and in that time visited some geoart and many other individual caches. Another day of caching in SA after attending the mega in Adelaide. What a whirlwind of a week for us as we attack trails with mates, DT, specific types for personal challenges, old caches and just damn good ones. With so much on offer we barely knew where to start but as we headed slowly home we picked up the Straya challenge series while staying in Murray Bridge overnight. We started at No. 1 and worked our way down, across and up signing each logbook as we went enjoying the cooler early evening conditions. Our Qualifying Stats:[The_Tritonz](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=The_Tritonz) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9VYAF/69367 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did."Attend at least 1 CITO event iin each of 3 different Australian States or Territories."New South Wales- 2018-09-21 GC7W5RE - O Pals, Let's Clean Up (Cache In Trash Out Event)Queensland- 2018-09-29 GC7Q7FJ - Aramac CITO (Cache In Trash Out Event)Victoria- 2014-04-27 GC4ZPCK - Ballarat Canadian Creek Trail CITO Afternoon Event (Cache In Trash Out Event)Qualifying 3 / 3, PASSEDThanks e.gregory1 for the challenge series.

Day #9 Leaping Forward AdventuresLeap day is finally here! A busy jam packed day is ahead. Traveling around with TheBelgianKet, Brain, OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506.I found this series of challenges a little over a year ago during one of my caching trips to South Australia. Many of these required additional things to qualify at the time, including caches in more states, events and a Mega in more than my home state, and other criteria. Some of them I targeted, others I achieved just by caching normally, and some I still dont qualify for. Being back in SA today, and particularly with a Mega, event and other things now under my belt, this challenge is showing with a green tick and so its time to claim a smiley.[RoamingHowie](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=RoamingHowie) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9VYAF/69367 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did."Attend 30 CITO events in Australia" Qualifying 63 / 30, PASSED"Attend at least 1 CITO event iin each of 3 different Australian States or Territories." Qualifying 5 / 3, PASSEDAll tests, Qualifying 2 / 2, PASSEDThanks e.gregory1 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? 28-Feb-24
The Leap Day Mega was a great excuse to come down from Queensland and weve had a busy time exploring Adelaide and surrounds cache by cache. Meeting up with friends old and new, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Although I have been to Adelaide before, this trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for everyone to enjoy.I will need to check if I qualify for this challenge when I get the chance.

27-Feb-24
A group of us are down from Darwin and Brisbane in preparation of the leap year event. Today was day 3 and the final day of hitting the bikes series and then moving from Waikerie to Murray Bridge. Collecting challenge caches and whatever else caught our fancy on the way through. To save space in the logs we have signed as the BOLD7. Was meant to be BDLD7 but something got lost in translation. Will check if I qualify for this when I get home in Brissy. TFTC e.gregory1

27-Feb-24
Found and signed as part of the BOLD07 invasion of South Australia. Still more work needed before I'm eligible to log the challenge.

27-Feb-24
This series of challenge caches has got me thinking, I know there are some I qualify for and some that will need some work of which I love. Thank you for an awesome set of challenges.I know I don't qualify here something to work on.

27-Feb-24
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday. Will check for qualifying back at home later.

27-Feb-24
BOLD9 having a fab time in Adelaide and surrounds. Lots of laughs and some brilliant inventive caches.!thanks to all the COs ! Will check these once home to see if I qualify!

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 14. Today we headed out to drive the Straya series of Challenges plus we also managed to complete the Australian Mountain Peaks (AMP) and South Australian Rivers (SAR) series with a few bonus caches thrown in. A great days caching. This was the next find of the day, and a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and then we headed off to the next one on the list.

Thanks e.gregory1 !! I'll check out which ones I qualify for and which ones I have to work on when I get home.

Day 14 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.

Today fitzy_1965, albida33 & I headed out early to get the caches in the area. We signed as MAF or FAM to save room.

Our aim was to collect the nearby Challenges, then the River & Peaks series and anything in between. Once we understood the hints on the River series, it made the finds so much easier….a clever idea. A great day with no DNF’s.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 15. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 9. Our second day spent in Tailem bend was to target the Straya Challenge series. This did not take all day so we were able to get to the Australian Peaks series and the South Australian Rivers series. It was interesting to see some of the 2014 Mega sites re-used. With the end of the day closing in we targeted a bit of the newer section of Wandering heroes, as usual a wide variety of caches in this series. Today is was Fitzy_195, MinnieK and Albida33 and we signed as F.A.M. or similar.

I have been eying these challenges for some time now, and it is great to come and find them all, even if there are a few I still need to work on, specifically, I need to go to Tasmania !

We are camped at Tailem Bend. The plan today was to come out and sign all of the Straya Challenge series. We had meant to do this form Karoonda but the Ag Show was on this coming weekend and our camping spot was unavailable. At this stage we are not sure whether we meet the challenges . We have signed the logs and will check when we settle down with reliable connections.

Due to the recent explosion of CITOs on offer in the Adelaide metro area, I thought that I would romp this one in now, but no, only just over the line. I’m always up for a CITO when away from home - great way to meet the locals and the warm fuzzy feeling for having helped out.

Thanks for the challenge and this great series e.gregory.

Found with Mogni. Mogni wants to get to 20, 000 by the Rutherglen Mega in Victoria and make that event her 20, 000 th. So we went out to complete the " Ice cream " series and the " Straya " challenge series plus some extras along the way. 78 ccahes stamped today but since some of them are challenege caches less than 78 were finds. The route to the geo arts was the long way, this was because the main road to Strathalbyn was closed due to road works and the detour was through Milang.

This was a great series on the back roads with a variation of different hides with the same container, without any issue all the caches were found and another aussie series completed.

With my days numbered in SA I had a few targets that I have wanted to tick off put around Murray bridge and the surrounding areas to find. With the work finished in the early morning I set off for a nice day tackling the virtual at Monarto, ice cream series, lost wanders series and the Aussie Challenges plus a few others along the way, total of just over 100 finds for the day.

Thanks for the cache

Well there was an event I saw published in Bordertown hosted by Roaming Howie and since I was able to have 4 days off I decided to head over to attend the event and then to also do a few of the On Ya Bike series to finish off my D/T loop.
Throw a few oldies into the mix for my Ausmer grid and it was going to be a busy weekend with lots of Km’s.
So after attending the event, finding the ones required on the OYB series, surviving the heat then wind and having a good nights sleep last night today is a new day.
I should check my map more carefully as I missed this challenge series yesterday so I came back up this way to sign the ones that I am close to qualifying or have already.
A nicer day today with the heat.

As the LGA adventure yesterday we now enter Day 18 based in Murray Bridge. Tackling signal, ice cream (hopefully both sorts) and some challenges.

The final agenda item challenges has finally arrived. I’m sure these will be a mixture of caches I qualify for and some with more work to do, which I quite enjoy.

Opportunities to attend CITOs in differing states have been limited in recent years so hopefully one for the next 12 months or so with the 2024 MEGAs on the horizon.

Thanks e.gregory1 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

A day out was planned with Michells&hound and allister w with the target being the Straya challenges and of course there was a list of other caches to find along the way. We were pleasantly surprised to see 4 new Adventure Labs in Tailem Bend so we added those to our list and completed them before heading out to some Wandering Heroes and Straya. A fun day finding all the caches we looked for and even managed to be finished and on our way home before the rain set in. [^]

#20099. Day 17 of our holiday in SA and today Robmc and I headed to Murray Bridge initially for some much needed food shopping. We gathered a few caches along the way and did an AdLab in MB but the main focus of the day was the Straya Series that we collected later in the morning and just a few Wandering Heroes on the way back to camp.

It was such a pleasure to do this series even though I don't qualify for 15 of the 35 challenges. Some I am sure I will never qualify for but they are all signed just in case.

As the series was only published in July it was great to have nice fresh log sheets and I think the double containers is a great idea and should definitely help keep things in good order. There certainly were some nasty hides (especially for people like us who do not as yet own a pole). Innovation is a great thing and we got the job done successfully.

Do not qualify.

Thanks e.gregory1

21-Sep-22
Another lovely day around Tailem bend with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
The forecast was a bit iffy, so we drove to Murray Bridge for an AdLab (and some shopping!), then continued on to the Straya challenges, and a few Wandering Heroes on the way back to camp.
After we had finished in Murray Bridge we set off for the Straya series.
We had unraveled the geo art before we came over to SA, so we got stuck straight into them.
A good collection of hides, and a nice idea with the twin containers.
We found them all, but don't fulfill all the challenges yet. We will keep working on that.
CITOs are not something I have even done much of, but I am close, stay tuned.....
Thanks, Robmc.

We had recently been alerted to this series and figured like most challenges for the amount of caching we have done that we would qualify but like some others the bar has been raised and we have work to go for some. We worked our way around and while the containers were mostly similar it was good to have the various different hiding styles.
Our qualifying list is as follows.

When we first saw these challenges, we were reasonably confident that we would qualify for many but we were surprised that we qualified for 30 of the 35 challenges. So one of high priorities for this trip to South Australia was to look for the challenge caches. Today we found all 35 caches and will log notes on 5 of them.

We do not yet qualify for this challenge. We have completed CITOs in 4 states but have only attended 27 CITOs in total. We hope to meet the requirements by the end of this year. We have signed the logbook in anticipation.

Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks e.gregory1 for this cache and all of the 'Straya' Challenge series.
