I had the coords for this cache from a previous visit to the city and tonight we got to air the find. After attending an event with earthlight & LB we all took a walk afterwards to find a cache on our way back to the car. We just had to wait until all the passing buses picked up their passengers.TFTC equipe de cinqKeep smiling

Found It!Jesus has left the building. Didn't seem to be anyone else in the building this morning either. They were all at the final location. Despite waiting for 4 buses to come and go, they still didn't take all the people away from the cache hiding spot. So I came back 20min later, and there didn't seem to be anyone there, so I said a quick hello to locus cache in the carpark then ran over to the cache and found it before the next group of people arrived!TFTC

Over from Perth for few days to attend the Leap Day Mega. Today's plan was to head out to explore Gawler and the Barossa, with a selection of caches on the way / during the day that either piqued my interest... or I just happened to be passing by Smile Originally I was then going to be having a quiet night ahead of flying back to Perth tomorrow. However Qantas decided to cancel my flight and now I am here an extra day! So, after a long day exploring, I tapped into the reserves to head out again and pick up a few more in the CBD after dark. This was one of them. Information easily obtained a quick find once at GZ. TFTC

I attempted this one on a previous trip to Adelaide, but my timing wasn't great and there was a stream of muggles at GZ. So, this morning I arrived a little before 0530 and had the place to myself...for a minute or so anyway. SurprisedI located the cache and had the log in hand. As I was etching my name, a muggle came and joined me at GZ. You've gotta be kidding me... Sad So, a very careful replacement to avoid and suspicion, but I am sure there was some questions when I just up and left... Big GrinThanks for the cache.

Probably should have paid attention There other day when I got off the bus here to grab another cache nearby and walked right past this one that I worked out a few months ago. Managed to miss the muggles and claim a quick find. Thanks equipe de cinq for placing Used 2B a Church Micro #0320 for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 09:17 on 27/9/2023.This is find number 7703 for me.

Had the waypoints worked out some time ago. Sat & quick find but with someone standing next to me I had to sit it out until muggle free. Wasnt too long. Tftc

Data collection was straightforward and we soon had coordinates consistent with the check digits. We got to GZ only to realise that we would have to be very patient - there were muggles galore. We must have waited for 40 minutes before the area was free and we could begin our search. We even contemplated coming back at night but that proved necessary. As there were limited hide possibilities, the cache was then located quite quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks The Evil Pagan Clan for the cache.

I’ve had coordinates for this cache for several months and have wandered past GX more than a few times. This is a very well frequented location! Other times I’d forgotten a pen, anyway, this morning with a few mins to spare it was cold/wet/miserable enough to discourage the muggles and I had a pen, so I made the find and claimed the smiley finally! Third visit here as the GZ seemed always popular! An extremely early visit this morning on the way to an appointment was the charm! Thanks for the adventure!

Southern Autumn adventure Day 25. Blackwood SA trip Day 6. Today joined up a few chores and of course caching. First to North Adelaide for supplies and a few train caches. Next back into the city to try a few of those pesky caches that were too busy yesterday and while I am at it, head to the south east corner of the city try for a few more to make the day really long and worthwhile.

This must be a very popular spot. I was here for some time yesterday, but there was never a break in the traffic. Today was only a little better, and I had almost given up when the last people seated moved on and I could feel around and find this cache before another chariot load of people turned up.

Thanks for the cache equipe de cinq

Had ventured into North Adelaide for an event and after leaving that had to do some caching. Headed into the CBD for some Used2Bs then a bit further south for a letterbox and some puzzles before going north for a couple of letterboxes and a multi. Finished caching for the day with a letterbox quite close to home. This was the second of twelve physical caches found.
Parked on the other side of the road and made the dash across to the empty structure for a quick find and stamp.
Thanks The Evil Pagan Clan for putting out this cache for us all to find.

After doing a few caches around Strathalbyn with naughtybunny this morning, it was time to try our luck in the big smoke this afternoon. For me this was the only successful one. The details were easily acquired at the former church and the final was found quickly. Well... we did have to wait for the bus to come and grab a few people who were waiting at GZ. Quickly logged and put back in its spot. TNLN. Cheers.

In the area today, so we grabbed the info and then had to wait for the muggles to move away from GZ..

quick solve and find. another multi closer to 1000
Out with Mogni to get a few more puzzle since in a recent trip over the border to Victoria we stamped a challenege cache. Also grabbing a few multi's to get me closer to 1000 multi's, about 50 to go. Plus a side trip to IKEA ( for pencils ) and mogni bought something there as well. We also stopped to get one of the top 20 favourited caches in south australia.

Spent the day in Adelaide geocaching with my mate, MaRoxs. We had a great time and found quite a few different types of caches. All-in-all a very successful day although it was quite hot.
I now have very sore feet which is to be expected after about 25000 steps - looking forward to a nice cool beer

Collecting the numbers was easy enough (though Freddo's definition of a church is extremely broad). However, when Owl last attempted to find the cache it was school pick-up time and quite impossible to retrieve without being in-your-face obvious. Even today she had to outwait muggles. Being an hour early for an event meant that time was on her side and it was eventually found.

On a mission down town with Purrfect Di and Sebastbat.

Wiped a couple more blotches off the geo map. Your was one! Out with that blemish!

Looks like some more development happening here. JC dined a lot in the bible stories, so cafe is probably an appropriate use!

Blue disk located, sums checked, cache located with the careful use of a transport app to avoid freaking out young lady muggles (well not much!) Twisted [:o)] Razz

Our prayers were answered by equipe de cinq for locating and maintaining this cache on our evolving Adelaide cache map!

Exploring allover wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!

Beware ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]

Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside Big Grin

Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

We do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Goldy recieved an invite from AussieSPARKIE to go out for a Saturday afternoon stroll for caches around the city and random caches in the suburbs afterwards.

I got the numbers for this cache 5 months ago at a CITO, but never got around to it, found while I was in the area today.

We couldn't find anything so we rang for assistance and I had the numbers muddled. Oops. AussieSPARKIE might need to lend me some brainpower.

Cache is all good.

Thanks to the cache owners who do regular maintenance checks to ensure other players have an enjoyable experience when out in the field.

Your cache has been retrieved and the log book has been signed with the trusty stamp or a good old pen on paper, with the exception of virtuals, EarthCaches and webcams of course.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Was in town running an errand close to the area of this multi so after completing my errand headed to the listed coordinates, gathered the required information, calculated some coordinates and thankfully the checksums agreed. Headed off to GZ. In between traffic and muggles searched the structure and found nothing. PAF the CO, and we agreed that the cache was, in all likelihood, gone. Was given approval to fix it
Replaced the cache, with a new logbook, signed of course, and rehid the replacement cache in a good spot.

Counting down cache finds to 4000. I’m sure I needed more multis for one of the many challenges I’m working on. I have a private challenge to get around to all the Church micros Used2bs and current.

After starting this one 2 weeks ago the final was too far away to get too, what a beautiful church though.

Today I was as doing some Uni stuff in the city so made my way past GZ, well how busy is this spot at 5:30? It was a matter of waiting out the public to it was free, finally the cache was found signed and replaced all muggle free.

Thanks for the cache

Multi for today. I thought that late Sunday afternoon might be a good time to do this one, but I ended up having to play the waiting game at GZ. I’ve got a feeling that I’ve been to WP1 when it was a disco, the eighties were a bit of a blur.

Thanks for the multi Evil Satanic Clan.

Today I visited the listed location, as it's very close to the CITO event (GC9WAWX) CITO: Light Square (SA).
Gathered the information required, while attending the CITO event. Took a photo there.
Calculated the final location, and drove there during lunch break.
Found the cache, while some muggles are only 1 meter from me. But I'm sure they are not aware of anything.
Signed the log book, and hid it back.
Thanks for the "Used 2B a Church Micro" multi cache, The Evil Pagan Clan.

In 2009 I was in London, I bought a 7 day pass to travel on all public transport. I then asked for any timetables that might help me. This was in the era that commuters in Adelaide could pop into the Adelaide Metro store on King William and pick up a paper fold out document on every route across town. The attendant in London stared blankly back at me, no mate, nothing like that here. It didnt take too long to realise that they werent necessary. The tube I found was a wonderful setup, you could move between platforms, horizontally or vertically, and get to where you wanted to go without difficulty. Every train came through the station between 3 and 12 minutes apart. Same for the big red buses. What this means is that if you want to connect two services together, there is no in-depth planning to make sure you are not at a bus stop for 45 minutes waiting for the connecting service.

While Adelaide has long since abandoned those wonderful glossy brochures, we can now call up an app on the phone, plan and map a trip, even see when my next bus is coming. While this digital improvement has occurred, the service remains the same.

Here at GZ, this stop (as with many of these along this street) are transition stops. You will find many commuters getting off one bus, only to jump on the next. The bus drivers are aware of this, and you will often see two buses at the same stop with commuters running between the two, or just waiting for the next connecting bus. Here is the dilemma for cachers, this location is going to be busy and occupied quite often. Which is a really long version of what AnyMules said.

Thanks for the multi cache Equipe de cinq. Podium filled. [Edited]

Well there you go, I got a FTF on a cache - Fourth To Find ????
I was at the gym after work yesterday when a mate messaged me “FTF for you on the way home tonight” as I live just around the corner from where this was posted.
Get home from the gym to find AnyMules had claimed the true FTF, so I head off to collect the numbers & do the sums thinking I might get a podium and 2nd position ??
Arrive at GZ 19:30’sh and muggles all over the place. So I lurk around for a while, muggles come and go, more lurking around, more muggles come & go. 15 minutes goes by, so I give up and head home.
Get home, fire up the laptop later on to find that TeamAstro had claimed 2nd in the podium - must have been one of the many so called muggles I saw down there ??
So this morning I decide to detour a little out of my way to work to grab the prize……no way, at 06:30 there are muggles there again (or still ??). Give up, off to work.
This evening after work, on my 3rd stroll by at 21:40, no muggles. So I get in there bloody quick smart, find the prize, sign & return……just before another muggle shows up.
Never realised just how busy this place is ????
Thanks for the cache and fun times equipe de cinq ????

It was after the rush hour. After all, do we ever rush to church anymore?

I used 2B a worker in the city but not anymore. Sitting at bus stops was a bit of a thing. Tonight others practiced the art. How unlucky can someone be? Was it 20 buses then bingo for this poor commuter. Least the seat was warm when I sat down to sign the log!

Thanks equipe de cinq and clear skies from TeamAstro. ?? Cache the planet! ??
