Logs
Reperio 11:24After completing the 50k ultra at Kosciuszko yesterday, the legs were a little stiff, and so kept most of the cache finds today close to the road. With the rain starting up as well, I slowly made my way back to Orange. Gratias DARKSIDEDANAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
After staying overnight in Bowral, we headed south, with plans to stay in Yass tonight. We had time to detour into the ACT to look for a particular challenge cache. We then continued on towards Yass and stopped for this cache along the way. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The log was quite damp but still usable. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache.
Got it! I'm glad I didn't read the other notes first, or I might've been too scared. I didn't see a snake today!
We saw a large black snake in the grass at the fence post. Had to bail on this one. Will come back another time.
#20883 - 1:46:00 PM; Another solo mission today, this time along Sutton Road to the Hume, then back home along the Barton to top up my daily finds for today's date, tick off a couple more caches for some personal challenges I'm working on and collect some newer caches as well as some others which have been around a while. Unless otherwise indicated, all were found in good condition and replaced as found after adding my name to the log, including this one. Apologies for the largely generic logs. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Found under the watchful eye of some very suspicious and disdainful sheep. Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a week or so in Yass, today we headed out late morning. What fantastic weather for another run around Yass. Mr Felix came across a sleeping possum in a fence post today, who did not want to give up the cache. Another good day.TFTC DARKSIDEDAN

Grabbed this with Baristayan and ToyHunters on the way to Yass…and this was a rather significant find given it was number 9999 for ToyHunters!
They can certainly get quite large and ungainly these brolgas. Thanks! Now into 10,000 for the great man…

Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Find #9999 with baristayan and buckoraider before we headed off to 'Burden of Sisyphus' for the big milestone. My media assistant baristayan had the terrific idea of taking a photo of me with my 9999th cache with a bunch of toys because, well, I'm the Toy Hunters! This was a quick find. TFTC DSD!
Spent some time caching in the area.
Signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, DARKSIDEDAN,
and for us and others to find.

Our for a day of caching around Murrumbateman. Lots to get, however focusing on the more challenging caches such as tree climbs. Also picking up ones close by. TFTC
Picked up from home late morning for an outing around Murrumbateman with a small group of friends. We were mostly targeting the harder higher caches that are better to retrieve in the drier weather.
There was a group of four caches, all in a row, that none of us could find but as they were recently replaced by the CO and RapidlyWild then we assumed that they were just too clever for us to locate them.
Quick find. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.

A day out picking up some caches around Murrumbateman and Yass. Long grass at most, but often with cacher trails which helped. Cache found all OK.
Thanks
Thanks
Out and about with FFLL#1 and ALL7 to pick up some countryside caches. Was nice weather today and we managed to get our names in all the caches we attempted. There were a couple we didnt attempt due to their placements but thats all good. Logs signed as FAR (FurfacesLL, ALL7 and Rapidlywild) for those which we all needed, otherwise it was individual names.
No issues with this one, signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache placement DARKSIDEDAN and thanks for a nice day out FFLL and ALL7.

Last minute change of plans meant Saturday was now free. So plans were made with ALL7 and Rapidlywild to go and collect a few caches that had popped up on the map. Actually there are heaps to do but getting the time to do them is rare.
Weather was ideal for caching which made for a pleasant day out in the countryside.
All caches we attempted we found including a couple we could see but valued life a little more to attempt. So no DNF's for us today which was nice. All caches that were found were signed with either FAR (FurfacesLL, ALL7 Rapidlywild) or individual names.
Thanks for the hide DARKSIDEDAN and thanks for the fun and laughs ALL7 and Rapidlywild.

The end of the week came around and there were a few thing going on in the day. During the morning I went caching out to Murrumbateman with Smitten Granny. We started at the show grounds and then did a few along the highway including one very impressive tree climb. After Lunch a trip to Albury for a specific D/T cache started. Joolay, Kitty Katch & I set off around 2pm and pretty much drove non stop to Albury. There was a little time for a few caches before dinner and one after dinner. Tomorrow will be a walk and a forest explore for several puzzle caches.
With the various DNFs, I wanted one more for the morning, so a bit of a detour and we found this one quickly before heading home for lunch.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

Another find, another series and all about one of my favourite Australian birds. And at a very appropriate time heading into Christmas.
"Out on the plains the brolgas are dancing
Lifting their feet like warhorses prancing
Up to the sun the woodlarks go winging
Faint in the dawn light echoes their singing
Orana! Orana! Orana to Christmas Day.
Down where the tree ferns grow by the river
There where the waters sparkle and quiver
Deep in the gullies bell-birds are chiming
Softly and sweetly their lyric notes rhyming
Orana! Orana! Orana to Christmas Day."
An Australian Christmas Carol called Carol of the Birds, that we used to sing many decades ago when gathered around our piano.
Thanks for the cache and the wonderful memories it evoked DSD. Take a FP Oh yes the log was signed.

Just had a short sharp shower of rain and now the sun shining again giving us time to add our names to this log before feathertop and I drive on to the next one, thanks again Darksidedan
On our way home again with ilook4geo and caching as we went. Found quite a few and signed each log. All except one were in good condition and we were happy to add some more smileys to our caching map. No problems here with container or log. Thanks go to DARKSIDEDAN for placing this cache.
While heading back out of Yass with goingplaces2 this was one of the caches we found. All was in good order. TFTC.
Found with 63ROOS and Beautiful full sunny today .... We enjoy drive around and Love it.. tks
Prefect weather with ALL7, awesome series runs at YASS as last one on the way home..log signed TFTC
A quick park & grab whilst heading back to Canberra. I do not recommend this approach however, would of been a lot easier heading towards Yass instead as there was no turning lane coming the other way, lucky it was after peak hour traffic!
Adventure boys!
We found in peace.

On a nice winters day with a cold breeze in the air me and IamCoust did a geocaching run around Yass and Murrambateman, driving on quiet unsealed roads picking up parts of the snake and lizard series which dot the landscape out here. Most caches were easy to find so it was mainly a numbers game which was both pleasing and tiring at the same time.
Some caches we considered very near peoples properties so it was a quick get in, get out before being spotted or interrogated. Overall a very enjoyable day. TFTC

An early start to a cool and windy day with Green-Martian tackling a few of the recently published caches out and around the Murrumbateman/Yass area. We targeted a mixture of finds, following a basic route weaving back and forth along the back country roads. Most finds came without issue but the odd one here and there presented a challenge in one way or another. In that regard, any interesting or specific details relating to the find are added to the end of log. Regardless, at the end of the day there were about 60 successful finds, 1 DNF and 1 other we were not well enough prepared to tackle.
As the morning went on the numbers grew, and so did the surrounding clouds. In the end, after a solid 6 hours of caching, as the rain began to fall, we called it quits for the day.
Thanks again GM for a great day out, and the CO’s for all their hard work and effort. TNLNSL TFTC

Left work early today and headed off for a weekend away with fitzy_1965.
With not much between here and our destination, we decided to make a find early.
A nice quick find here today.

28,322. Found with minniek as we headed off on a weekend adventure.
This afternoon we headed off towards Victoria for the weekend, with our aim of getting to Hay this evening and camping there. When this obvious green icon appeared just after we left we took the opportunity to grab at least one cache today. A quick stop and find. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off up the Barton Hwy again. Thankfully there was a break in the traffic at a convenient time.
Thanks DSD !! Yet another of the Australian Animal Series ticked off.

**FTF is still up for grabs, as I was with the CO during placement.**
Of course I couldn't give up, my weekend off for any other reason than Geocaching. With four Geo-events at Canberra and a bonus friend’s party Saturday night meant that is where I'm headed. It was a great weekend full of fun, dancing, catching up with friends and finding many Geocaches along my travels. This was one of the caches or events, I found (or DNF) or attended at some point over the weekend. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO's of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC's and TFTE's!
I was on my way home today and DSD decided on coming with me to place some caches along one of the ways home. Obviously, we were in separate cars so we could split up so we could go each our way home afterwards. While we were together we mainly focused on the main roads and after we went our own ways, he focused on back roads. This was one of the caches, we placed together, on this day.
For this cache, I was very surprised that no one had placed a cache here. This is because there is plenty of safe, hidden parking from the main road as well as a great view of part of the old road. Certainly, a great spot for a cache. Thanks, DSD!
