Teamed up with Snickersallan, Granny Smith 1947 and chamad on the hunt for the Multis Jigsaws, Wherigos and whatever took our fancy whilst out on our travels within the Logan shire. What a fantastic selection of caches and containers on offer for GC LOGAN event. It was great to be with my usual buddies, delightful to meet up with new ones and strengthening our ties. Thanks so much to GC Logan team for arranging events and placing caches for our enjoyment.

Out for a day of caching with CuriousQuest. This was the first cache of the day. I parked the goemobile in the carpark and grabbed an appropriate tool before heading to GZ. Once there, the cache was quickly spotted and, using the tool I bought with me, we were soon adding our names to the log. With everything returned as found, we continued on our way. TFTC

A drive over to the southside and a meet up with Hatzofff and RoddyC for some caching time. It turned out to be a very interesting time with some surveying completed, some scouting and some checking before a chamce to grab a couple of caches for me along the way. Got a brief look at some areas in which the logan event is happening and there are a lot of caches coming out and some fun times in the nine days. Last part of the day was the drive to catch up with everyone at the night time event. A chat on earth caches should be interesting.thanks for this cache an easy find here today

Today we drove home after spending a week in South East Queensland. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Sunshine State, with near perfect and warm weather for the whole week, and a very high cache finding success rate. We had detoured off the motorway to Eagleby to visit the Kiwi Shop, where we went just about all out on snacks and other little goodies, including clearing out their remaining stock of Pinky bars. Decided to find one cache in this suburb before heading back to the M1 and noticed a tree fish was just up the road. Quick one to spot and retrieve. The inner container is a bit broken but the outer container should keep the log safe and dry for the foreseeable future. Thanks for the cache

With family from Melbourne staying down the coast it was an early morning start to grab a few caches before catching up to watch the footy. It was a pretty quiet run down the coast in the van and parked up at the recommended location. Made my way quickly to ground zero and soon located the cache. Extracted the log and made my mark. Replaced the cache safely and then off on the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available for everyones enjoyment.Cheers

GC9WWKH Eagleby Community Park 2 - Parks & Rec Series Out for a day of caching with KerriMG. Coords were a little out for us. So I looked at one tree. KerriMG another. It was KerriMG that finally found it. I thought it looked like a hard fish so I quickly handed over the rod to KerriMG but she did it with ease. TFTC RoddyC

Didnt find

12-Oct-23
After searching all the branches of the tree that our GPS indicated was correct, we couldnt find the cache, so moved on to search another tree but the arrow was insistent. We returned to the original tree where we quickly found the cache at our feet. After signing, we replaced it directly above where we found it so its currently not very high. The CO may want to come and pop it on the correct branch. Thanks RoddyC

Caching Eagleby with my daughter this morning so we decided to drop in here for a look. We still can't find one of these fishing poles to buy so it wasn't going to be a find today just a bit of recon.
We looked for quite awhile without being able to spot it and we were convinced it was somehow gone. But as we headed back to the car I turned back one last time and spotted it. Wow, somehow out of sight from underneath but its there.
One day Roddyc

This afternoon/evening, I joined Beardman75 and karicka in making the drive south to attend the *Logan Goecaching Catchup* event. We had a few strategic stops between the three of us, but largely we were happy in having a few finds and grabbing dinner at the venue (and I was happy with not needing to drive through congestion!). An enjoyable evening of conversation and banter.

I remember finding the old Eagleby Community Park cache that used to be in this area, and that was just after the 2022 January heavy rains / floods event, so the cache was quite wet and sodden indeed. So perhaps this replacement cache so high up is a reasonable substitution in ensuring it lasts! We approached this cache as a group, initially overshooting the right tree and checking one, before the cache was spotted in another. The TOTT was extended and cache retrieved, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks RoddyC for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

The daylight was fading and I struggled to spot the cache. Eventually I did see it but decided that I am a chicken when it comes to making a spectacle of myself in front of muggles and decided not to try to retrieve it.

**FTF** Wednesday 13 July 2022 @ 2:25pm

I’d noticed this new cache this morning, but had plans on the Darkside of the city… So after working through some of Monster Lane and then climbing a couple of trees in the Stats Hound Series, same trees I climbed the day before, I saw this FTF was still available…

I abandoned my other idea, and being on a tight timeline, new puppies don’t like being kept at the airport, I made a beeline for here…

At GZ it wasn’t hard to spot the container, though I wasn’t sure about the loop… despite that, it was a quick retrieval and return…

Thanks RoddyC for everything you do for the game we all enjoy…
