Went on a short stroll with Rumpuslabs tonight to visit this cache. A nicely prepared cache, all in good condition, Tftc!
Was probably too much light to do this properly, but somehow managed to find it in the end.
Owl cannot see the elements in night caches because of her glasses, so traded the final of this cache for another one. Today she decided she might be able to collect the cache before the rain came. She was wrong and ended up rather soggy as a result, but at least it was found.
A big mega day of caching. Predominantly in the western suburbs but I stopped for dinner which gave me the energy for one more cache. This one!I had a bit of trouble at the start, possibly because it was dark enough yet. But once I got going it all went smoothly. TB dropped. Thanks for the cache ollywollydoodle.# # #14234 # #
Dragging my geotolerant spouse along for our 2nd night find as a team of deaf geocachers. Good fun, silly talks . Discovered a TB (see photo)Over in Adelaide for the mega event tomorrow: The Great Leap Forward. TFTC
Loved night caching! Found with Deaf group while staying in Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward event. ollywollydoodle, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area. Its a well maintained. FP awarded
Was part of the deaf geocachers searching for a couple of night caches. Tonight I become an official geocacher. Geohusband SurdiVisio and I are both here for the Great Leap Forward mega, thanks
After hiking a bit up in the Black hills, I moved down to do a few suburban geocaches.Okay, so it wasnt exactly dark. But Ive done many night cashes. And Ive done a couple of night cashes it day. So I thought I would give this one an attempt.I lost the thread a few times, but always found it. And then I was about to give up. Walked up and down the same stretch of trail and couldnt find another marker. Finally decided to make a couple of turns. And there it was, the double marker! I was soon signing the log. And I dropped in a travel bug. TFTC!
Took a stroll last night to check on reflectors, all still present and correct, but, we added two extra ones towards the end after previous finder's feedback. Happy searching
Yay time a Tuesday Trekking, for three Confused Puzzlers. The three Confused Puzzlers were SA Sewer Rats, Brisal5 and ttrogg. We came seeking reflectors.Did okay to near the end. Then seemed to track of reflectors. So we paffed to get our bearings to the eyes,A quick find and sign on GZ. Tftc
Something special or unusual goes here:It was day time and this is a night cache. But we knew what to look for and it was overcast. Rear the cache page again, read some logs and thought - why not. It was not dark enough and the torch was useless. But there was three of us and we knew how to tackle this and we had three people. We came to the first choice to make and split up. I went wrong but Ttrogg went correct. Next time it was me. We managed to find the first 5 tacks with a bit of extra walking but not much drama. Then came the drama. Next time we split we all found nada. Back to the last found tack. Off we went again and still didn't find another tack. I continued and after making a correct turn for no apparent reason at the next opportunity I found two tacks on a tree. Ttrogg found a tube with end coords which I didn't see at it's base and we all stamped the log in the actual cache at GZ. Time to back track and find the ones we missed. Despite knowing where we had to be and where we had to come from we couldn't find the elusive tacks. This is not going to sit well with me and I know that despite living 50 kms away I will just have to come back at night and find those bloody tacks. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday trek with some others of our Puzzle Solving Group. [^] Today we headed to some caches in the foothills and suburbs below them. I met up with S.A. Sewer Rats and Ttrogg at a Rostrevor Multicache and sought out caches we were close to. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks ollywollydoodle for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Time for another Tuesday Trek for some Confused Puzzlers. After picking up the Rat from her nest we met the Starfish at a cache in Rostrevor. After finding that one we headed for the hills before returning to the suburbs to complete another nice day of caching.Ok, it was daytime, but we all knew what a fire tack looked like and thought it would be worth a try. We started quite well and it wasn't long before we were at the fifth single fire tack tree. But despite checking all trees visible from this point and along a path no more single fire tacks were found. After giving up on the tacks and just checking any big tree in the vicinity without success decided to try a PAF. Soon after, probably about 100 metres from the fifth tack, had the cache in hand. The Starfish spotted the nearby double tacked tree on the approach but despite checking all paths and nearby trees on the way back to the fifth tack no more single tacks were found. It appears that the previous finder also had a similar problem so it might be good for the CO to check the fire tacks required to get from the fifth single to the double tacked tree. Thanks to ollywollydoodle for placing this cache on our playing field.Cache #14169 for me.This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Cant wait!!****
This was a lot of fun.
I’d decided that a multi and a regular would be good today, and this was en route to my afternoon appointment, so it rose to pole position on my list. Then I discovered it was a night cache, but I worked out it would probably be dusk when I passed again on my way home.
It was almost completely dark when I returned, making this my first true night cache. So dark in fact that I almost fell over a kangaroo in the Avenue of Honour - are they normally that placid in the dark, or are these ones unusually tame? A mopoke was calling - I love that sound at night.
On to business. I was going well, but seemed to lose the trail close to the actual end, such that finding the final pair of markers felt more like a bit of an accident than skilled caching. No matter, my name is in the log, which currently is in excellent condition.
Thanks so much ollywollydoodle; have a FP, and I’ll look forward to your next offering at 500!

It was a lovely wander following the reflectors. Well should I say seeking them out. You have to be at the right angle and get that reflection right back at ya! No sooner had we almost given up then we found the eyes. The eyes are the key! Some big roos were in residence but they soon hopped off when the elephants approached! A good team effort with four-fun.
Thanks to ollywollydoodle and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Another fun find along the journey
Completed thanks to the sharp eyes of the starman
Cheers ollywollydoodle and TFTC

Given 4fun's log came in around noon, it must've been a pretty tough gig to do this one during the day, without the advantage of darkness to see the reflections!
Yay we finally found it!
We took a few wrong turns initially but we persevered and eventually found the two reflectors.
Quickly found the coordinates, then a little while to successfully ‘navigate’ to the cache, nice container too!
Thankyou for setting up this night cache, good to have done this in our area.

Tonight [@courtneyrose_](http://coord.info/PR19YGNV) and I headed out to complete this night cache. We had been here before in the day but the tacts aren't bright enough to see in the day. So the torch was lit and off we went, some were hard to see but managed to make the nice walk along the trail. Finally we made it to GZ, a nicely hidden cache and quick find once at GZ. Warning there are some seriously large ants here too.
Thanks for a wander in the dark.

Went out with gridge98 last night to do this night cache, despite getting a little scared in the dark, it was lots of fun
Interesting stroll on a warm evening. Fennix lit up the trail. And a couple of nocturnal animals in the distance. Love your work. Thanks.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Went for a walk after dinner, with the geokids.
We had two headlamps and a palm size night sun...
The headlamps didn't really pick up the reflectors, with fresh batteries, and the night sun was overkill. Nonetheless we adapted and the geokids were off and running once we found the first and knew what to look for.
I strolled along behind, enjoying the tranquility, and nice evening. Fresh but no wind with a chill factor!
We heard a koala too.
Eldest Geokid soon had the cache in hand as i strolled up... lol
Nice work, surprised to be 2nd in book after nearly two weeks!

We were keen to check out this night cache, though had to wait till the sun was setting. Arriving at the parking coords with torches ready, we took some time for a little history lesson, before trying our luck with twilight. Waiting till total darkness would have made this easier, as we back tracked a few times. We eventually spotted two markers and soon had the final coordinates. Nice cache camo. TFTC ollywollydoodle and for creating a this neat little night multi
