TFTC!! Lovely little find on my walk around Charleville. I havent seen many like this in a while so that was fun. Forgot a pen and didnt have any fingers left so I added a sun instead :> -micro olilogic
My husband and I are on a trip from Brisbane to Charleville to find some caches to qualify for some challenges , especially GC9YTB9 to get camping and fire nearby attributes for September and livestock nearby. This afternoon i focused on finding caches close to Charleville city to get back in time for our walk to the Hotel Caronis for pre dinner drinks. We ended up getting burgers to take away next door to Caronis and they were so yummy. This one had me tricked at first but then i realized i was looking at the cache. Love it. What a great day to be a geocacher. Thanks for all the fun
Today is the first day of my Three Corners tour, visiting all three of Queensland's remote western corners over 12 days. It was a very early start today, with a long drive from Brisbane to Charleville ahead of us. This provided only limited opportunities for caching unfortunately. As I had recently cached along the Warrego highway as far as Roma on my Carnarvon Gorge trip anyway, I saved my caching stops for west of Roma. Finally, we have arrived in Charleville and checked into our accommodation. Now it is time for a wander around town to stretch the legs and check out the cold beers available at the longest bar in the southern hemisphere. On my walk, I managed to grab a few ad lab waypoints and with a short detour, made a quick find here, introducing my muggle companions to geocaching. Many thanks geohoppePete#7,965
Quick find. Cop from next door was very inquisitive about if I was okay.Just getting a geocache. He said okay but then turned his attention to our team vehicle stopped in a no parking zone.We didn't dawdle.Signed The RoosTftc
Continuing on with my well earned 2 week break and after staying in Rochester, Hay, White Cliffs, Cunamulla, Toompine and now Charleville for a few nights (after my very big detour due to lots of road closures) its time to stop the driving and find a few caches that Charleville has to offer over a few days.I have been out and about finding close ones and some further out caches as well.I have noticed the leave banks that surround the town and after seeing this marker and other signs around the town you soon realise how much water came through this town.It looks like the town got back on its feet but Im only an outsider looking in.Thanks geohoppe TFTC.
Part of today's caching activity with ilook4geo was aound Charleville. Decided to collect a few more local caches before we move on. The was no problem in finding this one and signing the log. Thanks for this cache placement go to geohoppe.
The weather was rather dismal today, but some geocaching always brightens it up. We enjoyed all the caches found together with goingplaces2 and each log was replaced as found after being signed with both names. TFTC,
Quick find here as we check out his flood marker. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Apologising in advance for the boring boiler plate logs.Day two of a two week road trip. Collecting as many LGA's as possible, (aiming for fifteen).Quiet day in Charleville today. I'm just poking around collecting the caches in town.TFTC
The part where it's fixed to is missing a screw and therefore upside down. I put it back to match this orientation as the log fell out when I took it off. The bag is broken and log is wet. TFTC
geohoppe I found your cache QPS Station flood marker on 18/5/2024, 2:45PM. This is my find 6678 and find # 12 today. A quick find with the help of the hint. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
We travelled into the outback of Queensland - towards Charlesville. We did a lot of puzzling, research and planning in the run-up to our tour.Arriving in Charleville. We planned to spend a few days on the trails around Charleville, Morven, Augathella and Cooladdi. We had beautiful weather - and a wonderful time in the Queensland outback. We enjoyed the breathtaking landscape with its red sand, impressive animals, starry nights and golden sunsets. We would like to thank all the owners for the great cachesTeam sissifalke

OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Visiting Charleville for a few days, using geacaches to show us the sights of town. Enjoyed the walk through town to this one.Tftc
Quick stop and soon added our name to the log. Off to get some more smiles around town. Tftc
Wow., I saw this on TV in 2009, but it is not until you are here to see how high through the town and you look around at the shops which ARE ALL lower than this point. My geocaching Australia coin visited. Had to sit on steps for 30min to dry out the log. All good now.
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip through Broken Hill, Tilpa, Bourke, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine to attend the QOGM at Longreach. After QOGM I travelled solo to Emerald, Biloela, Monto, Gayndah and Kilcoy on my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide via the north coast of New South Wales, central NSW and the Riverlands. We spent two solid days of entertaining caching in the area around Charleville, Cooladdie, Augathella and Morven before heading along the Landsborough Highway to Tambo and Blackall. Thanks for the cache geohoppe_Magnetic0!
Found as I travelled up from Adelaide with FeatherWaite to the QOGM event at Longreach. The plan was to head to Cunnamulla via Broken Hill and Tilpa, then up to Charleville to complete the caches that had been published since we were last there a year or two ago. From there we were planning to go to to Longreach via Barcaldine, although the exact route would depend on how much time we had available. The weather was a little warmer than we had anticipated, but it made for some pleasant evenings as we camped out along the way. Most of the caches were found without any issues and were in reasonable condition unless otherwise indicated. Thanks geohoppe for the cache.
On our travels we found ourselves in Charleville for a few days and took the opportunity to grab a few caches this was a nice quick find, thanks for placing it
Very Creative!
I forgot a pen, but the coffee shop across the road gladly lended me one
Shout out to ‘Bear Bones Coffee’!

Second day at Charlesville, QLD.
Accompany with DeafVW, DeafCat and DeafPhantom. I am appreciative of them because they are young and have more energy and good equipment as I didn't bring Ladder with me.
Handy one of them can climb so I just stood and watched.
What great fun - saw plenty of cows, emus and goats.
Thank you for organising the cache and hunt.
Sorry about copy and paste.

We are now on our way to Longreach for the QOBM event next month. As we missed the big event here, it was now time to grab some of the caches around the area. Another big day today, doing some of the trails around the area. Today it was with Liz and Bruce, which is a nice change from my solo caching.
Stopped off here and made a quick find. Wow to see where we would have needed floaties, is amazing.
Thanks geohoppe for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

32,425. Found during our Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure - a 33 day epic tour of Northern NSW and Outback Queensland finding many caches, attending great events and catching up with awesome Cachers along the way.Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure Day 3. Well the trip was underway. I have never been to a QOGM before, and since this was the last one I decided to head up there for the fun. After overnighting at just outside Cunnamulla (Free Camp) we continued north up the Mitchell Highway collecting Adventure Labs and caches. Once at Charleville we set up camp and set out for a couple more caches. This was the next cache of the day. Once at GZ it was a quick find. Signed the log, usually as F65 A33, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our journey. Thanks geohoppe !! The local Policeman came out to see what was going on - all good. Saw him nearly everyday here driving around and always waved.
QOGM 2023 Longreach Day 3. Cunnamulla (near) to Charleville via Cunnamulla and Wyandra. Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 are on our trip in early spring to Longreach. The final day of our first driving section was today. We rolled into Cunnamulla and had breakfast at the quaint cafe under the unused pub before doing some of the nearby caching highlights. Then came the drive to Charleville with a few of the caches along the way being done and a stop at Wyandra. Closer to Charleville was the first cache for me with a drive around the Bush reserve for the multi and Where-i-go that was way to wet for me to do last year. Once we had spent some time setting up camp, we headed out for a few other key caches that I missed last year. Tomorrow the fun continues with a trip to Morven.
This was the last for our day after a short but refreshing visit to the pub. We were greeted by the local police officer who wanted to make sure we were not looking for the police station next door. He says too much paper work and we were able to sign the log and move on for the evening.
Thanks for the cache geohoppe

Amazing to see flood level. Visiting in dry weather so hard to imagine Charleville with so much water
Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Parked in front of this marker to go shopping before we looked up the caches in the area. Was obviously just meant to be . Neat hide . Tftc
I was heading out to park run at the nearby park.
A little time up my sleeve so why not find a couple of caches.
This was one I found fairly quickly.
Nicely done on the hide.
