This morning Granny and I had a plan to continue with seeking out caches with the off-road attribute for our monthly challenge. It turned out to be a fun day and with lots of various caches in lots of places. We got in a few extras while we were passing as well and even found a couple of ftfs along the way. We got to have a morning tea/ breakfast at an event and met some great cachers. There is some really pretty countryside around this area. We signed the logs and replaced the caches as we found them. Thanks for the caches and the hides. If you are seeing this please check out, GCARTY0, see what is planned for October 2025. There is an importance in placing will attends to events. Thanks for supporting geocaching in Australia. ITS A PARTY EVENT!

Our last day in Maryborough, spending our time sight seeing and picking up a few caches here and there.
This cache was the closest to our accommodation from the Showgrounds and only a short drive away. We found the little inside road beside the highway and it made it so much easier to pull up close to GZ then with only a tiny bush wander in & out.

Thanks SKI Pair maintained by Ian and Penny for the beaut hiding spot at GZ, enjoyed coming here

A new monthly challenge, another road trip with Peppa. When I got the message to say do I want to go on a road trip, our first plan was a 6hr drive to Thallon!! Hmmm... that's a bit far for a day, is there a Plan B? Gunalda near Gympie. That's doable. So an early start to try and beat the traffic up the M1 north. A stop at Gympie for food and toilet break, we are now here starting our search for caches with camping nearby.

This cache was not on the list that Peppa created, and is most definitely much further north than Gunalda where we first had planned caching around. Thank goodness for an early start or we would be caching in the dark. Parking was a bit of a problem but managed to find a spot. Also a quick find of the cache. Returned as found.
Now we are definitely heading home via one cache we missed.

Thanks to the latest monthly challenge in Brisbane, September is all about caches near to camping… For me it means road-trips, plural, to try and collect as many as possible…

Patrol14 and I have a list, well I have a list, Patrol14 is just along for the ride, as she’s already got 327 of the required 25 caches for this challenge…

At the beginning of the day, there was no plan to go north of Gunalda… let alone north of Maryborough… common sense and a check of the time means this is where we actually turn around and head south again…

At GZ this was a nice quick find… the PT was a lovely bonus… tftc…

As a side note, parking coords might help non-locals where to stop…

Hi there SKI Pair, we found your cache #1 IP address today.

Since this cache has our name on it, we just had to come and have a look after the FTF had gone. This was a nice, quick find, and we left some signature items (a path tag and a smiley) as well as dropping off a TB.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log are in good shape.

Regards
Ian & Penny
