Logs
Out caching around Mildura with friends. Logged as EGS. We loved the caches we found and the backroads we travelled along the way. TFTC
Our last day in the area before we head home tomorrow. A beautiful day to find some more caches here. Found with Earthlight and Shandyk, and signed the log EGS. TFTC.
Taking a few days off work so I can get away to Mildura for a long weekend. My first time in Mildura so lots of geocaches to tackle to keep me entertained. Perfect conditions to be outside and geocaching. This short trail of caches with high favourite points was high on my to do list. I was not disappointed. Every one unique and well crafted. Certainly put a big smile on my face. A favourite point from me. Thank you Jamms_SA, for placing JAMMS crew sends it's thanks for the geocaching community.# # #15773 # #
Thanks Jamms_SA for this intriguing puzzle, had us going for a bit, then the lightbulb moment, yep got it . Loved the construction, so a favourite from us for this mailbox Tftc
Not having planned our spontaneous long weekend away to Mildura we had not solved this letterbox prior, so some work in the car was needed by us to decipher the code. We thought we were losing it initially but realised what was going on and with some patience the numbers we needed for certitude materialised. It was getting close to sunset so we were a bit nervous taking the i30 into the reserve so we parked about 100 metres from the final and made our way in The nicely crafted cache container was spotted making for a great tribute to the locals. Thanks JAMMS_SA for the letterbox placement.A favourite point added.
We solved this one on the run, but not before we had some trouble getting the nod on the final coordinates. With a nudge from a friend we realized our misinterpretation and thus rectified got the OK from Certitude. A nice find at GZ.Our first full day in Mildura and after a quite cool night some beautiful Autumn weather has been really turned on. Blue skies and warm sunshine. We are staying a bit out of town but with quite a number of well-favourited caches nearby in the bushland and a variety of types we thought we would head out amongst them and try our luck. They were located along a range of bush tracks amongst the scrub so while dusty, fun to drive. Sadly no emus of kangaroos were spotted today to add to the fun.It truly was a great day caching with a fun range of gadget caches added into the mix. We awarded quite a few favourites to celebrate them, especially as we managed to solve them all.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Jamms_SA.**SKI Pair****
Thanks to Jamms_SA for this cache. We were enjoying the wander around this bushland area.A favourite from us.
Found while having a look around the area today, staying in Mildura for the week. Nice puzzle and hide, all is good here.Find #6979 on 18 Apr 2024.TFTC Jamms_SA!
Logging as a beta tester. I was there when this was placed and assisted with puzzle creation and checking cache page. Thanks
Staying in Mildura whilst having our airconditioner replaced. AirCon all fixed but alas Mrs F ended up with an infection and being flown to Melbourne. All better now (hopefully) and so a days caching finally on the agenda.Picnic lunch by the Murray and 20smilies for the day. Happy Valentines Day. Liked this puzzle but definitely had us scratching our heads for some time.TFTC Jamms_SA [^]
Logging as a beta tester. Logging as the person that made the cache, as usual all recycled parts. All 5 JAMS members ( JJ52, Allister W, Mogni, Mitchell&hound plus sir_spectre ) where here for the placing of the cache. We did enjoy finding the turtle series together ( some more than others enjoyed solving them too ). And a thanks again for the turtle series.
Wowzas! This letterbox had us stumped for a while! Very unique and definitely a palm to forehead moment once we found out what we were missing in solving the puzzle. Thank you for your tribute to The Turtle Series. As the COs of the series we have loved reading peoples logs through the series. Our biggest challenge has been the 2022 floods that caused us a bit of maintenance with a few turtles probably ending up a long way downstream. Tonight being New Years Eve we were keen to get the goodbye 2023 souvenir so right on dusk headed out to this one. It was an interesting walk in to gz with a goats leg randomly spotted and ants showering over us as we were right of GZ. We danced (the ant dance) our way through opening up the super cool container and added our name to the logbook. We loved the container and the effort you put into making it, well done! Thanks for the adventure!
*FTF* @ 01:30. Sydney to Adelaide Road TripDay Two: Canberra to MilduraWeather: cool!!I arrived in Mildura just after midnight, and it was only then that I saw this new cache. How cool would a FTF on this road trip be? I set to work. I havent seen this type of puzzle before, but the internet provided me with some answers. Except that the checker didnt like the numbers I came up with. I think there is a missing bird. Using that theory, I did manage a green tick. Hmmm, a bit of a drive, and I dont know that area at all (Ive currently only got about five finds in the township of Mildura), but I knew I wouldnt sleep, so off I went. Its dark out there, but there was a half moon. Cold!! Lots of kangaroos. I drove to within about 150m and walked the rest. I was wearing the wrong shoes and was still in shorts, but nothing was stopping me now. I think I scared a feral cat kitten on the way in.Awesome cache in the first place I looked, with some Jamms_SA trademarks. A fantastic midnight adventure, I can sleep now. FP for sure. Thanks so much Jamms_SA. Its officially a mega.GCA1DNA The Great Leap ForwardAdelaide, South Australia, February 29, 2024.Wed love to have your company.
The puzzle has been updated, there was a missing bird. If you solved the puzzle there are 3 letter " N "'s not 2 in the south co ords. Also a certitude checker has been added ( there was one before publication, that disappeared too ). I personally wouldn't have thought that getting the nbn line in your neighborhood fixed/upgraded would have caused data loss.
