Find number 14573 at 12:49:47pm on Thursday the 7 November 2024Out galavanting around this city doing chores, chasing up bits and pieces and grabbing the odd geocache here and there SmileEnjoyed a quiet wander around the cemetery gathering clues and picked up the prize on the way back to the geoVehicle.**Thanks for placing this cache xrocketx**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.

I had originally attempted this multi cache the other week, however I ended up getting confused at Waypoint 3 and ran out of time. It wasn't until my drive home in which I was thinking about what I could have missed when it finally clicked. So when I arrived home I checked my coordinates and the checker gave me the **Woo-hoo!**. *I thought, oh how could I miss that!*Well with needing to find a multi cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [RoamingHowie's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=24963346-56c5-4daf-8308-a01f60f5a5ba&wid=6a725450-9b6f-4892-abca-126a7026759c&ds=2) challenge cache, [WCW - 95% Multi Calendar Challenge (GC9Z59M)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59M). I was back with vengeance. This time it was a much quicker trip. I was immediately able to head straight to GZ. Once I arrived it was a nice quick search before the cache was spotted. I am not the most vertically gifted individual, so I did have to scoot up the tree a bit in order to reach the cache, but without too much effort I soon had the logbook in hand.I don't really always love a cemetery cache. However, when done tastefully like this cache then I think they can be great. I enjoy that this one took me to some interesting locations and highlighted a few places, but I didn't feel like I had to invade anyone's resting space. The cache was also hidden far enough away for me to feel comfortable with attempting to find it without feeling like I would interupt a mourner. So a big thanks goes to [xrocketx](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=13ee8ee6-4f6a-4c75-96e2-ec5bcf549db3&wid=1d797686-5d72-498f-85c3-6849ffa90029&ds=2) for the very fun multi. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status:**All of the information at the various waypoints was very legible. The cache container at GZ was in good shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. However, it did have a bit of moisture inside the cache container. I tried to dry it out the best I could. Once I dried out the logbook, I could easily sign the logbook and the logbook had plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

I found this cache today on a quick trip out to Cranbourne. I started the series here. Some of the wall at WP1 has fallen (or was pushed) over onto the footpath. This did not affect the gaining of info here but it may later, depending on what else they knock down before the rebuild. WP2 was not a problem and as I was walking onto WP3, I read forward and was wondering how easy it was going to be to gain the info required. Turned out pretty easy and from there, the cache was soon in hand. Thanks from D B-A

And here we are at the end of another month! Now on day 136 of my painful streak, closing in on half way.... I suppose I decided that today I would let myself rest a little and find a multi close to home so I can enjoy a nice quiet night at home. Knowing exactly where to go I navigated to this one and soon found myself at WP1, flying through the first two stages I found myself being a little confused at stage 3 but quickl figured out what the CO was hinting at.Solving the Final Co-ords, I quickly spotted the cache and returned it back. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

Made this one a bit harder than it needed to be by not taking note of all.thr information given! But once I paid attention the calculations gave a likely spot and a nice solid container. TFTC!

TFTC! 20 January 2024 10:07:59pm 7109 thanks to xrocketx for the cache! Was in the area after sport today picking up a couple of caches. Before we headed home we checked and saw that we needed a tree climb cache in a new lga on todays date in the month! - quick search and this was was the best choice despite the time of night, and 8km in the wrong direction. Took stage by stage and the multi was really easy to follow. Made a quick find at the gz! A few spiders today! Thanks!By the way its our 500th Multi! So a great cache for a milestone!

Found. Visited the posted coordinates and made my way around collecting the required information. As with some others I spent a bit of time at WP3 looking for the information. Back and forward a few times then spotted a couple of sets of numbers. Thought it was more likely to be one than the other, and upon doing calculations came up with some nice coordinates that agreed with the checksums. Made my way back and made the short trip to GZ where I found the cache after a short search. So glad that there was a natural step to help this shorter person reach the cache. Log signed and all replaced. TFTC

I needed to be in Frankston in the afternoon, so I left home much earlier to find some caches. I needed a tree climb cache for today, but not in an LGA I already had one. So this was the cache. The first two waypoints were simple, but at Wpt3 I wasn't sure what I needed. However, I went with some numbers that I found, and the calculations all worked out, and the check digits were correct. But to be sure, I plugged the numbers into the checker, only to find that it disagreed. I contacted the Rebel Alliance hotline who confirmed that my co-ords were correct. Now that I am home, from my screen shot, I see that I mistyped one number, and that it was my mistake all along. Anyway, armed with the correct co-ords, I headed to GZ for a quick find and retrieval. My thanks to xrocketx for the cache.

I headed out today with the goal of completing the hard Teamwork Makes the Dream Work Wheel of Challenges souvenir and that goal was achieved so now I can relax for the rest of the month. Unbelievably beautiful weather for the second day in a row this weekend made the task much easier and enjoyable. While doing your nearby puzzle I parked in the side street and then realised I could park in the cemetery. I liked the way this tied together so I'm giving it a favourite point. Thanks xrocketx for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Cemeteries, multicaches and a nice simple offset made this a delightful little adventure.
After realising that WP1 actually referred to a different century, we moved on through the memorials and soon had a set of numbers worked out.
The checksums agreed and soon after the cache was in hand.
Thanks for the interesting multi xrocketx

We were on the way to pick up a machine in Cranbourne when n0w0rries suggested we stop by here for a look.
With the numbers gathered, we made our way to GZ for a nice quick find.
Thank you for the multicache.

*Cache find # 14913.*

I was needing to find a multi cache for today for a certain challenge, so when it was time to head for home after work, I made a detour down to this one.
I set off collecting the info that was needing, I of them had my thinking for a moment, but I soon had what I needed and I was off to GZ.
At first I was looking at the wrong elevation, but I soon sorted that out and the log was signed.

**Thanks to xrocketx for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**

Who wouldn't relish a cemetery cache, especially one shrouded in eerie undertones? We followed in Kim's footsteps, our senses acutely tuned to detect any hint of sinister activity within this somber place, then calculated the numbers we had derived from Kim’s perspective.

A brief stroll later and a search longer than expected, we felt a rush of relief upon finally discovering what we were seeking. Anxious to exit this unsettling place, we quickly attended to the paperwork and then rushed back to the safety of our car. Phew, we had survived!

This was a fun multi xrocketx, thank you. Love the theme of this series.

I found your cache and signed the log xrocketx. Thank you so much for placing it.

Was pleased to walk away with a find here
I was confident we had the correct coords but made the hunt harder by entering the search area via the most difficult route possible!
Eventually the cache was in hand, log signed and returned as found
All in excellent condition. Many thanx to xrocketx

**Find #5378**
**Multi Find #440**

I did the ground work for this cache during a morning walk earlier this week, but left finding it for a day on which I needed to find a multi as I work towards qualifying for a challenge cache. It was during this afternoon's walk that I detoured via GZ. I looked around for a good five minutes and didn't spot any likely hiding spots. I then extended my search radius but still no good. Finally, I changed my perspective and low and behold, there was the cache. Whew. Big Grin

**Thank-you to xrocketx for placing this geocache**

Awkward find, felt like other people there were watching us

Found it, my daughter and I are very new to geocaching, so these types of caches are quite hard for us, we figured out the first 2 WPs.

The 3rd one was really stumping us, we were aimlessly walking around, no clue what we were looking for, meanwhile muggles were hanging around which made us look really sketchy.

Trying to figure out coordinates on top, I had no clue how to do, so I reached out to Rebel Acts who gave us help in the 3rd WP and how to decode and put waypoints into the app which I had no clue how to do either.

Thanks for the help rebel and thanks to xrocketx for a fun activity, it killed an hour before picking our youngest daughter up from school.

Found by Rebel Acts in the company of Tiz13.

I got a message from Tiz on Thursday "what are you doing tomorrow", My reply was going caching with you. We had unfinished business in the Hastings area so we made use of the finest day weather wise of the week.

This is one of the caches found today. We found the third WP a little obscure but then the light went off, Tiz was busy looking at what the Magpie dropped under the tree while I crunched the numbers, we were sure we had found Frankenstein's grave with chains to hold him in there.

Thanks xrocketx for the cache.

Out on a caching expedition with Rebel Acts.
Like many that came before us we temporarily stumbled on WP3 and had the wrong search approach at GZ but we found the cache in the end.

Some interesting graves within this cemetery, including the one attached in the photo. We had many theories on who this man might have been and why his grave was shackled with chains.

Found it , on a very average May morning, we set off to solve this multi and find the prize. All the correct info was found quickly, with the exception of the cryptic wp3. All in good order. Tftc

02-May-23
We started our journey without any problems and by the time we reached halfway, we were going really well.
When we hit WP3 we hit a snag. Reading the story a little too literally, we headed over the fence and began searching in the scrub. This attracted the attention of the caretakers who were quick to come over and to enquire as to what we were doing. They wanted to know if they could be of any assistance. Once they departed, we continued our search and realised that we might have been standing right in front of it.
Then we made our way to GZ where we found the cache a little higher than we had expected and apart from being a bit tight, it was in great condition.
Thanks xrocketx for a great experience. A favourite point from me.
Chiefton!!!

Find 3097
Just started to rain as we entered the car park. Read through the cache page and took a few notes while waiting for the drizzle to ease.
WP1 info was quickly found and noted then off to WP2. Geowife spotted what we needed.
WP3 location had us a little confused for about 20 minutes.
WE decided to use some logic to get some coords but the checker said no.
We noticed what we may need and did more calculations and this time I was fairly confident.
Off we went to GZ and after about 10 minutes the cache was spotted.
Retrieval no problem with nature helping.
Log signed and back safe again.
A favourite point added for your Multi and the challenge we both had.
Satisfying in the end.

Woohoo!! 2TF! this was a nice easy multi and a good read! Actually retrieving the cache would have been very unlikely for me if I didn't have a muggle friend with me who was the one that ended up reaching it for me lol TFTC! I'm quite enjoying this series and looking forward to the next ones...

The man with long hair had always been fascinated by cemeteries. He loved the peacefulness of the graves and the stories they held. So, on this particular morning, he decided to take a walk through the cemetery just before dawn.

As he walked, he noticed that the cemetery seemed different than usual. The air was colder and the fog was thicker, almost as if the spirits of the dead had risen from their graves and were surrounding him.

Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him. Turning around, he saw a figure emerging from the mist. It was a woman, dressed in a flowing white dress and with long black hair that seemed to float in the air.

The man tried to run, but his legs wouldn't cooperate. He was frozen in place, watching as the woman drew closer and closer. As she approached, he saw that her eyes were a deep, dark red, and her skin was deathly pale.

The woman reached out to him with a cold, bony hand, and the man felt a chill run down his spine. He knew that he was facing a ghost, and that he might never make it out of the cemetery alive.

Desperate to escape, the man began to run, stumbling over the graves and trying to put as much distance as possible between him and the ghostly figure. But it was no use. The woman was too fast, and he soon found himself cornered against a tall tree.

As the woman drew closer, the man could hear the sound of her breathing, cold and raspy, like the breath of the dead. Hands began to rise from the misty ground around him. He climbed the tree and closed his eyes and braced himself for the worst.

He looked up, and saw the first rays of the dawning sun illuminate the treasure above him. With shaking hands he reached up and grasped the treasure. just as suddenly as it had appeared, the ghostly woman vanished into thin air, leaving the man alone in the cemetery as the first rays of the dawning sun hit him holding the treasure. Shaken but unharmed, he realized that he had been lucky to escape with his life. And he knew that he would never forget the terror of that fateful morning in the cemetery.

Thanks for the cache X Rocket X
