Our last full day in NZ and we are doing a loop through Darfield and Oxford and searching for caches missed on other visits. Thanks to the COs for your placement.
Travelling around South Island for 2 weeks, from Australia. Caching along where you go. Arrived at GZ and found cache. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we had been staying in Christchurch but have now moved inland towards Oxford drove into Oxford to do this Bonus we had completed the Ad Lab sometime ago but for whatever reason had missed doing the Bonus fixed that omission today this was an easy find, log-book signed & cache returned as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,466 for us!
Heading south with rattll, en route to GeoToroa at Dunedin. Today, started at Paparoa Point, north of Kaikoura, aiming for... somewhere in North Canterbury, tbc. Our sole confirmed target for the day is GCEB9, at Glentui. The oldest letterbox hybrid in NZ, and coincidentally a Jasmer spot that we both need. Everything else collected today is a bonus, so we're stopping as the whim takes us.Having completed the adlab in Oxford, we came along to GZ to find the bonus. Nowhere safe to park, so I dropped off rattll before seeking a spot to turn around. By the time I got back, she'd found it. Not sure that I can see any significance in the location. All good in the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
It was very enjoyable tiki touring around picking up the ad lab points. We had to back track a little to get to GZ.There was very little room to park the campervan, so I was dropped off to make the find while matagouri drove further down to turn the van around. My gps was all over the place, but after finding my way into GZ I got lucky and spotted the cache straight away. It was a quick scrawl of our names, and a dash back as matagouri pulled up the van.Nice to finish the set. Thanks for setting it was
I solved this months ago but have not travelled this way to collect the final. I am visiting the folks in Oxford and needed some fresh air. A nice run out to this cache and back. Didn't take long to find. TFTC
Today we took a daytrip to Rangiora to check on a few babies and of course a few other maintenance stops along the way.We still needed our smiley for the Blue Switch Day souvenir so we planned to stop in Oxford to do the lab adventure. The lab was super easy - in fact we only saw 2 of the counting things and managed to guess the rest before we got close enough to find the info. We put the bonus numbers into the car nav and off we went. Arriving at GZ I wasnt convinced so used the checker on the page to make sure we were in the correct location and it was correct so out we got. I was looking closer to the car when Mum spotted the container from below and pointed it out so I made the grab. Thanks for the adventure and of course the cache
Found a park on this busy broad a bit dodgy but werent there for long. Tftc was a fun adventure.
An informative wee Adlab around Oxford township on an overcast drizzley Sunday morning. Soon enough had numbers sorted and the final coordinates calculated. A rather random spot. Parked up 50m further on by the gate and walked back, managed to fluke approaching from a good direction and spied the cache straight away. Nice one, thanks.
Enjoyed doing the adventure cache and the bonus. All in all a fun time. Thanks for organizing.
Yaya. Very pleased to find this one. We looked last year with no success. Was about to give up again when suddenly there it was. Thanks for the fun
Enjoyed the tour de Oxford (it was quite busy on a Saturday morning) then off to get this bonus. Parking didn't look great in the direction we were going, so left the find for the way back. Took a few minutes to find the cache, it's always astonishing how a good sized cache can be hard to see in the bush! Quite a busy road, so pleased we left didn't attempt from the other side of the road. Thanks for the ad lab and TFTC.
#23234. Good to include this bonus on today's trip to the foothills. There were lots of potential hiding places at GZ, and I was pleased when Troodles spotted the cache. TFTC.
Gummi_Venus made the spot while I was nosing around in the wrong direction. Nice sized cache! Thanks for the AL. We enjoyed the tour of Oxford.
Nice wee nose around and easy spot, found with ObnoxiousSpaceCat. We enjoyed doing the Oxford AL. TFTC!
Nearly gave up on this one. Gps all over and spiked by thorns. Finally spotted it a bit away from gz.
We have been staying in Springfield for a couple of days and taking a round about way to get to the city to stay with relatives for another night.
After completing the AdLab we arrived here to find this bonus cache, mindful of traffic whizzing by.
Thank you for the cache.

We adopted Springfield as a base to find stragglers from previous trips and new placements. Now we're taking the long way around to ChCh and are visiting known way points from way back to get info for the bonus. A fav. Thank you busy paws
What a great exploration of Oxford, so sleepy on an early Sunday morning. The observatory was such an unexpected discovery! TFTC!!

Geez that took way longer to spot than expected. It's well camo'ed among the trees. Lots of swag in there too. Thanks, busy paws, for the fun!

On the way back from a walk at the Ashley gorge, we stopped for this cache. We did the multi on the way in. The ton was busy as it was S&P day! We drove past three times, trying to find a safe spot to stop. then we walk along the road, looking at one spot, going further, finally came back to first location, looked differently and there it was. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for placing this here.
We enjoyed wandering around Oxford completing the Adventure Lab, but the same can't be said for finding the bonus cache, located in a somewhat inhospitable area. We were drenched by the wet foliage and encountered blackberry, hawthorn, holly and barbed wire in our lengthy wanderings. We initially entered at the geotrail, but retreated and reentered further along the road, only to eventually find the cache quite close to the geotrail. TFTC
Took a little tracking down as I followed a geo-trail to deeply of the road. Once I put my trust in the GPS the cache was t spotted.
Thanks for the Ad-Lab and this bonus cache.

Not a lot of off-road parking at GZ but found a little space nearby. Surprisingly quick find that was not expected from reading the logs beforehand; TFTC
Reading the previous logs I thought it would take me ages to find this bonus - but no, got to GZ and there it was. T4tc (FP)
Had a wander about town. Got a pastie from the shop and came to spend bloody ages searching for the cache. I got bloody from some thorns.
I am out on a geocaching trip with JDScout We stayed over night at the closest campground to Oxford. I didn't know Oxford had an Observatory. A favourite point for the size and the difficulty of seeing the cache, combined with an interesting lab cache.
Decided I needed a pie for lunch today so I drove out to Oxford. After lunch I walked down the main street and visited few shops whilst doing the Ad Lab and gathering the details for this bonus. Loved Emma's Bookshop. It has a great collection of books and nick nacks. . Afterwards drove around finishing the Ad Lab and visiting this cache, before driving back via Ashley Gorge, Loburn and Rangiora. Reminded me of my Sunday drives of old. Thanks for the Ad Lab and this bonus BP.
Thanks for the AdLab, I really enjoyed it. My one comment would be that I didn't enjoy having to enter onto school property for the observatory waypoint, especially as there were students nearby. It was great to have a guided tour of Oxford though.
I seem to be using my phone more and more for geocaching but I HAD to employ my trusty GPS to lead me to this cache. I guess the phone was being more subjected to the effects of tree cover. Thanks for the bonus cache .

Walked around Oxford for the Adventure Lab and then drove to the final. We parked further away from the cache where there was plenty of room to get the car off the road and walked to GZ.
Took a few moments to spot the well camouflaged cache. TFTC.

Great bonus catcher after an interesting AL in Oxford. Been a cloudy day with patches of sun and warming up. Thank you for setting this up and the AL. TFTH
Took a few moments for the GPS on my phone to settle but it was then a quick find. A busier road than I expected
A nice quick find after gathering the info from the Ad Lab. Parking was a bit tight at GZ, but the traffic was minimal in the middle of a week day. A Fav Point for the bonus and Ad Lab. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I wanted to get out of the house for a while so we went for a drive to Oxford to find a few plastic boxes. And some lunch! The mountains looked great with a fressh covering of snow.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Kia pai to tātou wiki o Te Reo Māori. I rapungia te mea e māua i muri i te kai kei Cafe 51, Tawera. He mihi tēnei ki a busy paws. Kia ora ki tōu mahi.
What better way to fill a murky Sunday, with a round trip to sort this Ad Lab!!! All the clues were completed and then off to the bonus. Probably better to park on the side facing town and a lovely sized container. Back home over the top Waimak bridge completed a very pleasant interlude. Thank you P a fav from us.
Saw the notfication for this come through and I thought to mysef that I hadn't been out for a night mission for awhile. In a previous life I worked mainly nightshift for 16.5 years.. so you can imagine I used to do a lot of night raids.
Anyway, I headed out and done the AdLab with no real issues. There was a very minor issue with letters, but it was obvious what was going on and didn't slow me down with getting some pretty good looking coordinates for this final. A bit of a look around and spotted the cache. My 3rd Canterbury [FTF] the container was bigger than I was thinking too, cool!
TFTC busy paws, and ensuring that yes, I'm still mad enough to go get FTFs after 10pm the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 4 today, making this find #3482
