I came down to G Town after work to think about going for a 8.00pm swim for an event at Eastern Beach.I will see what the weather is like at the time as to whether or not I go in and get wet. Before hand I went for a walk along the forshore collecting some bollards and noticed this one on my map.An interesting place to sit and think and after reading the plaque I understood what it all meant.A nice out of the way spot to place a cache which was soon located and signed Thanks Larafolk TFTC.

Picked this one up for the GeosportZ 2024 game.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1

With the others having a break at this cache's namesake, Al and I ducked over here for a nice quick find at 12:40 before returning for some munchies ourselves. TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Larafolk.**PS:** There was no sign of the *[Rocky Fish](https://coord.info/TB4J6KK)* trackable in the cache but I think the log of [17 June 2024](https://www.geocaching.com/live/log/TL1XB889K) explains why. C'mon peeps, if you pick up a trackable, take it into your inventory - it's not rocket science.

14-Jul-24
Found with Eudes at 12:40pm as our walking group took a half-time break at the phases of the moon. When we started the short walk to GZ it was bright and sunny, but not long after rejoining the group we were getting wet and decided to move on.thanks Larafolk

This was a bit a light relief during a day of total misunderstanding of directions! At a way point of the multi we were in the middle of doing, we met a muggle couple, who were quite keen to be involved. There is a story about what happened at the waypoint, but that will be in that log. The reason I mention it was because as we started our search for this one, there they were again, and they happily joined in again. I felt good that Ahomburg found the cache, showed we still had some skill on this team (Ahomburg, LetThemEatCache and myself)Thanks for the cache Larafolk

Found 25 May 2024 at 12:00:51PMAfter the nearby CITO, I cached the day away with Let Them Eat Cache and Snips & CO, starting with the caches nearby then moving further afield to end the day. After introducing some muggles to caching at the previous cache, they were walking their dog over the road so came over to help us with this one too. Many thanks to Larafolk for placing Solace for us all to find. A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Larafolk.**SKI Pair****

What a fantastic day of geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula! The weather was perfect, and the landscapes were stunning. Our group ventured through a mix of urban areas, lush parks, and coastal paths in search of hidden caches. The camaraderie among our caching crew made the day even more enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and shared triumphs as we uncovered each cache. As the sun began to set, we gathered to celebrate our successes and swap stories from the day's adventures.Geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return for more caching adventures in the future! This is one of the caches found today. Thanks Larafolk for the cache.

Down for yet another visit from the Sydney suburbs, so after dropping off the geodaughter at her first day of work in 18 months since having her daughter, I thought Id have a quick drive around and see whats changed in this part of Geelong and maybe a cache or two. I pulled up on the lower road and walked up to the thicket to be greeted by an absolutely god awful pile of heaven only knows what, but was able to skirt around it to find the well hidden cache. Hopefully the nearby council workers will sort it out.TFTC

A real cache whilst nearby, and a nice easy find before a quick stroll around the Botanical gardens. Nice one. After the rain in Melbourne yesterday, for our wedding anniversary, we were keen to stretch our legs, and horizons. I trip to Geelong was mooted, the train ride was cheap and nearby and the wee seaside town seemed to have some charm. IN addition its my birthday so a little amount of caching was factored in. We managed a few Virtuals, a 'few' Ad Lab stages based around bollards, quel surpris, and some other random others. Big thanks to all COs for their accommodating placements.

02-Dec-23
09:46What better way to kill time between Geelong's Annual Christmas kick-off event and lunch than caching with the birthday boy? This hide being close to where we had morning tea, we couldn't resist a visit to what ended up being a nice quick drive-by. Which in these most conditions is a good thing. Thanks, Larafolk. I spent a bit of time contemplating the structure while following the trail of bollards last year around this time.Love the container.#8041

Find # 13174In Geelong for the Christmas events.A couple months back I walked past this artwork and admired it. And was surprised there was no cache around it. Seeing this on the map today I just had to call in and make the find. Such an interesting area and concept. TFTC Larafolk

After attending the nearby event when swing past and claimed our find on this nearby cache. We were in the area last weekend but preoccupied with so today was the day. Glad we waited as December kicks off our caching mission to qualify for a challenge that requires 700 finds in summer. Ironically, the one thing not to be found here today was in fact summer!TFTC.

In Geelong today to attend some events. This weather makes geocaching a bit easier as there are less people out. Thanks Larafolk. Aquick find and great size container. Left some swaps.
