A lunch outing for a cache to keep my run going. It was made more difficult by a current no mobile for 50 hours challenge so I had a map printed and used that as my guide. Luckily it all worked out well and the find was made. All good at GZ.Thanks Adrian for the cache and the fun.
Find number 14650 at 12:49:58pm on Tuesday the 19 November 2024Out doing some chores and got an opportunity to do a couple of geocaches on the way home, lucky me This location is just being mean to short people but I managed to find a stick **Thanks for placing this cache ahomburg**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.

Quick find here. Just the way we like it. Love your work.Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Woden's day the sixteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. A quick find here today. Cache is all good Travelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
I was starting to leave work, and I saw the sun for the first time today. As such, I thought I would collect a few geocaches on the way home. After getting the new one, I remembered I needed a Multicache on today's date. After finding that one, I had time for just 1 more geocache.I was just tall enough to reach without any problems. Wondering how other people get this one. Thanks for the cache, A Homburg.Hunter
13696 Located by baby&Mrs gopher in company with Team Ladava at 1040. Time for the team to get out and find some LGA's on this side of the city. SL Tnx ahomburg.
In the area watching the soccer, I needed to stretch my legs to warm up a little and this cache gave me the chance to stretch my arm too. TFTC.
Chook and LazyAde spent a couple of hours caching this afternoon before Chook had to catch the train back to Beaufort. Lucky Chook had LazyAde with her for this one. TFTC ahomburg.
Tftc. This one took a bit of jumping to get but after a fight with the log we found it!
During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them. Had to stretch to reach this one. How does one do that so that others don't think you're doing anything wrong - Practise stretching exercises.

Found at 11:12Out for a walk and a few caches and parked near here. A quick find once I let the GPS settle. Thanks ahomburg for the cache
Heading across Melbourne to visit family... and left early enough to find a few more caches in the Monash LGA... my target is 100 so I hope there is enough for that. This was my last cache today as I had to get to St Kilda in time for "school pick-up". Thanks **ahomburg** for putting this cache here.
Out and About today to pick up some caches on this beautiful sunny sunday! With the main goal in mind being me grabbing a nearby Earthcache and some other odds and ends before it gets a little too hot for my liking. With no real major issues in the end a handful were finished and I slowly made my way back home for a nice cold glass of water. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
----------### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###----------Hi there Cache Owner,This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **possibly** needs some attention. Got to the obvious landmark but could not find. Thanks for the park views though
In the area for another geolocation game. Dropped in for 2 caches here but couldn't find this one. Really only one spot that fits the clue so pretty sure this is gone.
Coords took us to a grassy patch but nothing on the wire above. Past logs suggested we try a nearby structure but despite kids on shoulders, a thorough search proved fruitless.
Out on my own today, sunny but very cold. Just dropped of a friend to the local hospital for a day procedure and had to fill in some time. Nice easy find here. Glad I had my stool. Thanks for the cache ahomburg
On the way to a school pickup in Gardenvale and time for a cache or two. This was a quick sighting but retrieval was more of a challenge. Thanks to ahomburg for the cache.
Well I finally found it and glad I'm not short but catch is all good
Thanks for the walk
Thanks for the walk
I love a good nano so this was a nice one to end the day on. The cache is naturally camouflaged beautifully, I actually needed to a torch to spot it. Still it was a nice quick find this evening under the unnervingly loud hum of electricity overhead. Log was shortly signed and replaced as found.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

Part two of my shopping outing complete I headed homewards but detouring to pick up a few caches along the way. A bit more detouring than I had planned thanks to a careless misreading of a multi GZ but that's a story for that cache... So I next headed to this park to try my luck. GZ was rather exposed but thankfully free from muggles so after confirming that had to be the spot and checking the hint for speed I then spotted the cache. Logged, rerolled and replaced, I tried my luck at a nearby puzzle - and failed... Twilight isn't always the best time to cache... TFTC
Found after checking a few likely spots- had a hunch that it was a certain type of cache, and was right! Sneaky little trickster, had checked the spot a few times, but thought it wasn’t there. Thanks!
On my way back from a short walk and a couple of caches near Laburnum station I managed to overshoot Waverley Rd. and ended up parallel with this cache. I thought I might as well given that I was in the area.
After parking up and checking GZ I returned to the car and armed myself with the correct TOTT. After obtaining the cache, doing the duties and putting the cache back together I had a bit of fun placing the cache back in the correct spot. The key was in flexing the TOTT to break the connection with the cache.

This little chap was very difficult to spot. I had to overcome a few technical difficulties, but managed to find something to help me to both retrieve and replace the cache. Great camo here.
On our way home from having lunch with friends, we stopped for this little treasure. Spotted quickly having seen the terrain, then used a little help from the car to retrieve and replace. Thanks ahomburg.
Found It!
A quick find here after reading some of the past logs. Cue the nano rant...

We found this cache today on our Mainly Multis and Labs Encircling Ashburton Afternoon. Felt it before I saw it. We had found another of your caches in this park about 11,000 finds ago. Thanks from D & H B-A
A nice quick find on a very hot day .. I sighted the cache on approach and soon had it in hand .. thanks ahomburg for placing the cache
did not find a trace of anything and spent 20 mins trying to find it. the hint ‘up’ did not helping my caching finding
I was in the area doing caches so I stopped to get this cache. After looking at the hint I found what I assumed to be the cache. However, in retrieving the cache I dropped it in the grass and was unable to find it. A quick trip home and the cache was replaced with an identical one. Thanks ahomburg

What a great hide when the sun is in the right spot. We had a bit of trouble finding this one as the shadow hid it from us, but got there and enjoyed it. Tftc
This was the second ahomburg cache today on a leisurely bike ride in the humidity- A not too nasty nano camouflaged. I’d thought of placing a cache along this path with the views of Melbourne. Once the muggles and dogs were out of sight - a grab sign and replace.
GPS had me a little off course but the hint so had me in the right place. A little ingenuity to retrieve and replace the cache. TFTC
A quick park n grab to break my five-week caching drought, after dropping my youngest at sport this evening.
With some time to kill this was the closest trad to start with, so a short drive later and I was walking the last section (as I approached from the east, otherwise would have parked next to it, haha...) and made a guess as to where it would be from about 50m out.
Instinct proved on the money for a change, so a quick retrieve in-between passing muggles on bikes, walking dogs, etc. and I signed the log, visited a trackable and replaced the container.
Thanks for the cache, ahomburg.

I teamed up with OzHockeyChick for some afternoon caching to complete the Valley Reserve caches and a few others nearby.
This was a relatively quick park and grab after we spotted the cache soon after arriving!
Thanks ahomburg for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

I had an appointment close by so I did a slight detour to grab this one, a nice quick park and grab, I can’t say that I have ever been here before.
Thanks Ahomburg for the cache.

Had to employ a tool from the car to retrieve and replace it would have been impossible for me otherwise. TFTC
This new one was published quite close to home while I was out of course, so on my way to dinner tonight a short diversion was made and the cache was spotted nice and quickly and I continued on my way.
Thanks ahomburg for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Never realised that there was once an earlier cache here. Started numerous orienteering events just to the West, if only I had known. I was away when this was published but took a diversion on my way home. Thankfully I had a recent acquisition in my car boot which quickly enable the cache to be gained and the log signed. TFTC ahomburg.
STF!
I was actually just coming home from a busy day of caching when the alert came in for both "A Prowd History in a Footpath" (GCA0CJ9) and this one. I figured if no FTF hounds were out I would start with this and then go to try to find the multi.
However, I was over 45 minutes away and figured they both may be gone before I got anywhere near GZ. As I was driving I saw that the FTF was gone on this one.
With still over a 30 min drive I soon expected that the multi would be found shortly afterwards. However, it wasn't and after making the FTF on that one. I figured I would come over here to try and make the STF.
My phone took me to the obvious beacon, and it was only a minute or so before the cache container was found. A nice fun easy little find. Thanks for the fun today ahomburg and TFTC.
Cache Maintenance Status:
The cache container was in perfect shape, the attachment mechanism still seemed strong, and the logbook was clean and dry.

When the notification came out for this one we were already at the Melbourne show. So we called in on the way home to grab this and got a third to find. I needed Geoboys help with this one.
