On our travels we found ourselves in fish creek and took the opportunity to grab this cache, I thinks we look in cache spot 3 times before we finally had it in hand, thanks for placing this tricky cache
This is thirsty work indeed! The sportyist folk here today in FC are at the Bowling Club and the rest at the book festival so its all quiet here. I put on the metaphoric running shoes and happily got to the finish in Fish Creek. In Leongatha on another mad multi mission aka dash to visit a geobuddies and find a few caches that have been on my list, and thats apart from hearing the CO goes to some trouble to ensure our caching days have a fun element. THTC and the fun.
No snails today, took a while but fount it, a neat and simple little cache design.
Proud of myself, it was in a sneaky spot but I went straight to it . Gotta get lucky sometimes TFTC SL
Well, it was built, you put a cache here, kbucky, and we came! Another tricky hide of yours, but fun finding it. Luckily yjere were only a few scattered muggles around, so searching was pretty easy. The-Evil_Muggle found this while I was looking elsewhere, of course! We hid it out of sight. It was in full view when he found it. Thanks for the fun!
Noticed we didnt log our last visit so found the new cache, much better hidden this time too. Thank you
Having spent a lovely weekend at the Prom, we wanted to drop in on a few caches on the way home.Despite the rain, we searched around the most likely hiding spots and couldn't find anything. We were on the verge of calling it off when an empty container was spotted on the ground some distance from it's intended hiding spot.We conveyed our findings to the CO who kindly permitted us to log this cache. Thanks kbucky for all of these caches you have placed around the area which have added to our enjoyment of the area.Chiefton!!!
Found yesterday whilst at the netball and the footy. A nice and easy find. TFTC kbucky
Leaving Tidal River for 5 days camping with family.Stopped here for a stroll and lunch at cafe.Found it when there is no muggles around.TFTH
In and around the area exploring on our bikes. It was an easy enough find here but not spotted more felt. Thanks kbucky for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Nice town to visit. Done with AdLabs nearby. Football ground is very neat and the club too. Found it and good hide. Thanks kbucky for bringing me here
As we approached, there were a lot of cars in sight but we realised that they weren't quite as far around as what we needed to be. A quick find was made here. Shame that this has all been built as they haven't come for some time by the looks of it. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
A perfect summers day, so Geoturtle37 and I decided it was about time to get back on the scooters to finish off the SC to FC series. Looks like they built it, but nobody came. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, kbucky ~~
January 7, 2024 2:15 PMFound after having a walk around town and Mrs P supporting the local sports clubs at the Op-shop! Can't believe even a small town like this isn't immune to the scumbags that commit arson. "Cool find!" Thx kbucky ftc. Lawn bowlers too busy to take notice of us here.
17:23A great day out on two wheels with the boys - pprass & maccamobAn unserviceability with a powered device meant that, for us, it was back to the self powered method of transportation. Log signed as 'MPP'.Sneaky hide - which was missed at first pass! Thanks to kbucky for hiding caches in interesting locations. 36360
Found by David with pprass and phetlern while our wives went shopping, at 17:20. After the SC to FC Bonus and the Ad Labs, we reloaded our bikes onto the vehicles and drove as close as we could to this cache. Inspected the object at GZ, but couldnt see anything. Spotted by phetlern with his trust torch. Our thanks to kbucky.
Found at 5:22 PM in the company of maccamob & phetlern. Before leaving FC we decided to do this close by cache. Headed over to GZ - inspected the anticipated hidy hole, but found nothing but snails. Phetlern then had a go with his torch and spotted it way way in there. Thanks to kbucky
GVBR 2023. Our campsite for the last night of this years ride. After riding all day in the rain the hot shower was great. TFTC. TNLNSL
Took a while even with the title as a bit of help, lots of bugs so with the aid of a tool came up trumps for Wetjala to have it in hand for us to sign the log.
Mrs B & I searched and searched and . . . battled ants, dealt with icky snails, scratched around in all manner of dead thingies then decided to give up so walked back to the car which we parked nearby with the intention of continuing on our journey. But me being pig-headed thought I would give it another go so grabbed a (curved) stick, headed back to the GZ and once again began to probe. Fortunately this time the hidden cache revealed itself so after signing the log, I replaced the container back into its icky hiding spot and we continued on to The Prom.TFTC
The third day of a short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches.Staying at Fish Creek, and did a few caches in between walks.First cache for the morning. Walked around the oval to this cache.Nice hide. Thanks, Robmc.
Had a very in depth look in one particular place but we werent able to find the cache there or anywhere around it unfortunately. We will come back in the future.
Picking up a couple of finds in the Creek while out enjoying a ride on the mtb. Thanks for the hunt
I don't know who "they" is, but if they're snails, "they" have surely come here! I found a big juicy one sitting atop the cache. Flicked him off, signed and replaced. I reckon he'll find his way back.
Great spot for a cache, and it had a few cache guardians on it today. Found fairly quickly, signed and returned.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

With a few DNF’s not to far away we happy to finally find some caches in Fish Creek and quality ones at that. Looked around in a few different spots until the hiding location was revealed.
Thanks kbucky for the placement.

After finishing the nearby series and having a pleasant lunch, we decided to tackle this cache and a few more nearby.
Cheers for the cache kbucky

After completing the new trail we had a couple in Fish Creek to find this was one of them, We made this harder than it should have been, I was sure it was going to be a fake bolt or something tricky but it was not, once I moved the rubbish that had been place at GZ I went in for the find.
Thanks kbucky for the cache.
Thanks kbucky for the cache.
A likely place was identified quickly but examination produced no joy, so the search was widened with still no luck.
Finally it as found where we had first looked.
At Rebel Act's Community Celebration Event in Warragul recently there was much talk about a new series of caches on the rail trail between Stony Creek and Fish Creek. Till then we had been unaware of their release so after a quick look we hatched a plan to visit the area today and try our luck.
None of us had been on bikes in recent times, but there was plenty of enthusiasm and an air of anticipation. New caches seem to be rare anywhere near our area.
The trail has flat areas and undulations but is in great condition for riding, but most of us did have sore bums by the time we made it to Fish Creek.
This is a great series with plenty of good-sized caches and hides thought out. The field puzzles were a treat and although we took quite some time on a few really added to the experience. Great fun!
Congratulations and well done to kbucky for an excellent well thought out series.
As usual we teamed up with our good mate Rebel Acts, but also had Omegaman71 joined us which added further to the usual banter and ribbing that adds to the hunt. Great people to cache with!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache kbucky.

On my way to the beach for some metal detecting so I stopped here for a cache found quickly signed and replaced...TFTC kbucky
Found with LittleBoss2 on a short trip down here. Thanks for highlighting another beautiful spot in your area kbucky. No one smacking tennis balls today
On an evening caching run, picking up a few new ones that we haven’t found and checking out the Tarwin Lower frisbee golf course. This was another great hide in the ‘build it an they will come series’. Thanks kbucky!
With the sun finally shining and the rain halted, todays plan was to walk another section of the GSRT, starting off early from Leongatha I made my way to Ruby. Collecting caches along the way successfully finding my 1st free tree climb.
It was a lovely morning along a nice trail, with a mixed bag of caches.
Meet up with Kbucky, Rebel Acts and Ski Pair otherwise known as RASP for lunch. RASP had been out and about the area caching. As per usual Geo banter was exchanged before we parted ways. The afternoon was spent driving to a few random caches just out of town. Just before 4pm I was back in my Geo car Ms Sapphire preparing to make the trip home when I happened to look at my emails.
Geo Alert....new cache has been published (The fact that I had finally managed to set up these alerts correctly was my 1st suprise) The second surprise was that it was only 30 minutes old and only 30 minutes or so away.
The time started ticking as my heart started racing...
You see their was high externel pressures from other cachers for me to find my first FTF.
The Hunter ....999Hunter has been mocking me for weeks sending me msg reading Go Go Go....no I won't be driving 1 hour in the rain in the attempt to maybe get a FTF....and besides we need to establish what constitutes your territory, verses my territory. Aka the valley.
Team Smokey Bear has been teasing me with his unpublished caches....All talk no action their and then I would still have the Hunter to contend with since he is not so secretly DGS number 1 fan.
Kashbound has been hounding me telling me how additive FTF are and not believing I would be satisfied with just the 1.
So the pressure was on - I was in Lidogger and Stammily's territory and I knew they loved their FTF. I knew that potentially RASP were still in the area and Kashbound was also fond of a FTF chase. I knew potentially their might be other cachers on the hunt. I only hoped they were all pre occupied with other things and I had time on my side.
I felt like I was a competitor in the Amazing race as I focused on getting to GZ every car in front of me a potential Hunter.
I was focused, the adrenaline started surging it felt like Dejavu.. this was my past life.
10 minutes prior to GZ Google finds a quicker route and wants to re route me..No no no..momentary panic passes as I cancel the proposed re route (grr to you google maps that I no longer trust)
I entered the car park, no other cars in sight my excitement goes up a notch, I grab my backpack and fly out of the car, at GZ I over think things and panic starts to rise. I step back refocus, and before I know it I have the cache in hand and signed as FTF.
Small woop of joy and happy dance and just in the nick of time, 5 minutes later and GZ is overrun by kids. With elation I get back into Ms Sapphire satisfied and drive home.
Thanks Kbucky for my most memorable 1st.
