We are down here in the area, minding our grandchildren for a week and decided to try to find a nearby cache. We picked this one as it was close to the road and it wasnt long before we had it in our hands. With the logbook signed we replaced it as found and we were about to go when our little grandson said he wanted to find another one. So we went off down the trail. Cheers and happy caching!
TFTC. Been saving this one for when were not here with thousands of soccer muggles.
Start of geocaching adventures today as I try and grab as many as I can of this middle section of the Fernleigh Track that I have not got get. TFTC
Out to get a couple this arvo. Found quickly once I got some time to properly look for it without people around. Cheers
TFTC, colleda!I had to look at 3 hint related objects to come up with the goods but then again I was doing this from memory of the aerial imagery, and without my GPS, so not bad Im loathe to claim two caches in one day, (on a streak after all!) but I fear my find in town at the new (and suspect DARKNESS, may just not stick.
Out for a big day of caching on this fine Wednesday while out i found Fernleigh Track #12 @ 1:39PM.Thanks colleda for placing the cache this one is find #2366 for me TFTC.
Reperio 14:03Day 4 of our Newcastle geocaching escapade, and Master Vitruvius and I were up early to tackle the BP series and a few more of the MTB series, and then onto more of the suburban caches still left to do. Back in the area today to visit this one, and the cache was soon discovered after poking around a couple of options. Out with Buz21b, sweating our way down the Fernleigh track! Quick find here. TFTC!
Reached around to grab it. Thanks for the cache. Weather is overcast and very warm. Busy bike trail for a Thursday morning.
Doing Fernleigh track on the bike and grabbing a couple caches on the way. Needed two sweeps for this one. TFTC!
Thank goodness I had my newby with me. Princesswhiskas done it again. Found it before me. Of the track a little so no stealth mode needed. TFTC
Found by Mary and David at 09:35. Close by doing the Ad Lab, and saw this nearby. Slowly heading home after the final QOGM at Longreach. Our thanks to colleda.
pedal pedal pedal...
Today was my first outing on the bike since busting my ribs. Seems some exercise was required Good coords made most of the (popular) Track finds fairly easy. There were a few doozys in the mix Later in the day I met the CO on the way back. It was most satisfying to get the wind in my face as I hammered the trail.

And that’s the last one!!! Finally finishing the fernleigh track which has taken three goes. The track was not busy today, just runners and cyclists so that made it very straight forward to find the caches. Got some good steps in too. TFTC and Thankyou for placing and maintaining the trail here it really is worthwhile
On the way home from the Awabakal, just noticed this one on the map and found it.

I'm just loving riding the Fernleigh Track. What a gem this is.
Out and about with Rama497 and Skybomonkeytown.
This is my second time riding the track as I enjoyed it a few weeks ago following the GCNSW event.
We missed a few as time was moving on and I was getting hungry for lunch. Quickly found this one and log signed.
I'll be back. I want to ride this track again!!!
Thanks for hiding this cache colleda.

I had been cycling along with Meritonnn and Sweetmanda for most of the Fernleigh Track, but we had parted ways at the last cache because they had to get back to Adamstown. I was heading on to Belmont where I was going to catch up with the rest of the family. At this point I messaged the family to check where they were: at Redhead Beach. Hah, this was a spot I could exit the track and ride down to the beach. However, they informed me that they were packing up because it was very windy on the beach and they would meet me in Belmont, as originally planned. Thus, a cache or two more to find before the end of the track.
I overshot the mark slightly on this one, and my phone was initially pointing me towards the wrong side of the road. However, that's standard for my phone's compass, and after a while it swung around to point where I really needed to be. There was a car parked just in front of the hiding spot, but nobody was in it, so I was ok with sneaking around and having a look for the container. If there had been an occupant I would probably have left this cache for some other time.
It didn't take too long to make the find, though I had to stretch a bit to make the grab. All in good order here, and now my name is on the log sheet, too.

After attending the Fernleigh event organized by Geocaching NSW, it was time to mount our bikes and cycle our way from Adamstown to Belmont. It was a slow descending track, and the dedicated bicycle path over the former railroad track made for a very enjoyable ride, and we could enjoy the nature around the track.
After lunch at Lake Mac, it was time to cycle back to Adamstown. But slowly uphill with head wind proved to be quite tiring.
To release out aching muscles we stopped for a few caches along the way.

Cycling down from the Geocaching NSW Fernleigh Fun Ride in Adamstown to the lunch meeting spot in Belmont, I stopped off to have a go at this new addition to the series. The area around GZ was a bit packed in with parked cars but I managed to squeeze into the right spot. Even so, it was only after a nudge from the CO that I spotted the quite large cache.
Many thanks for this nice addition to the series.

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 11983.
Found on my way back up the hill, coords were spot on.
Thanks colleda for the cache.

Thanks colleda for the cache.
I called in here on the way to Whitebridge station but found parking really difficult with some large event happening on the oval. I had to search amonst other private vehicles but found it OK. Thanks Colleda for keeping this series going.
[FTF]. Well that took a lot longer than I thought it would. Another First to find. Seeing as though I've just ridden half the track from Kotara, I needn't to after the Event tomorrow. TFTC Colleda.
