The garden in which the cache was placed has been removed. I am waiting on a replacement container and will hide a replacement cache in the near future.
The church is in the process of doing a massive upgrade of their grounds surrounding the church. This has included completely removing the old retaining wall and all of the gardens including the one where the cache was hiding. And at this stage it would appear they may not be putting any garden beds back.
I have replaced the container with something waterproof. So it is all good to go.
We have been able to explore the area and take in all the sights and sounds of the city. Despite the humidity, the weather has been quite pleasant and we have enjoyed our stay. We still have a few days left before we head back on way to Mackay Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache emilywanders.
After having spent couple of weeks up North in Queensland, we are now heading back home - but still looking for smileys! We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc
After QOGM 2023 in Longreach, TBU went on a round trip via Mount Isa, Burketown, Karumba, Ravenshoe, Atherton Tablelands down to Innisfail to Townsville. Now we are heading towards South back home, still refreshing our memories and collecting smileys. It was a nice variety of hides and we bumped into couple of cachers on the way. Thanks for this cache, emilywanders
First visit to Ayr and first cache find..working with council today and walked up. As others have noted the log book needs drying out. Probably needs only a few hours in the sun..this time I did manage to make a mark in the book though courtesy of my write anywhere pen. Lovely church in one of the most religious communities in Australia. Thanks

Quick find. Log needs replacing, didn’t have paper on me sorry. I did empty the container of water never the less.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Nice quick find. Tftc Paul and Lou from the Blue Mountains NSW placed dry log inside.
Needs a new log. Sadly sitting in plain sight as bushes trimmed back to to bare. Should be moved.
Found it, blaringly obvious after the recent haircut, but still had me looking in all the wrong places first! Container was unfortunately full of water, I disposed of the ruined contents and signed the wet log.
Up from Mackay for a few finds to help Signal to get home.
Nice easy find.
Contents are wet.

Quite busy here in the late morning, but found signed and replaced. Log was a bit damp. Made sure it was clipped shut, thanks for another cache emilywanders.
A little odd placement i would think as I figure the gardener would spot it at some point. But with such a well sized container it’s always hard to hide them in the city. Thanks for showing the place.
It has been quite some time since I explored the general Burdekin region. Numerous years ago we stayed in town overnight, did a dive at the SS Yongala and enjoyed the little town a little more before continuing further. Since that time we usually only rushed through to leave as much bitumen behind us as possible with the aim of exploring locations down south. Also a few more wet visits at the Yongala followed, but all of those were made via liveaboars.
But not this time. This time I specifically took the time to enjoy the area. Well, and what better to do than searching for all these great new caches that have fairly recently been added to the map. Thank you very much emilywanders that you have created this cache and showed me the area! Much appreciated.

With the release of the latest labyrinth challenge, and a job happening just down the road, I found myself picking up a few of your caches around Ayr.
Sadly this one has seen an influx of water and the log book and stamps have been wet. I was still able to add my signature but it needs a decent drying out.
Thanks for placing this Traditional emilywanders for my enjoyment. Always happy to get another smiley

Happy to have located this but did look at logs indicating that it isn’t quite at the hints location. Looking just a little higher enabled me to make the find and get potentially rich from the swag. Another daily without using a local one in Townsville. Just have to make it to Feb 20 so a bit over 2 and a half months for that goal and then to keep going with mysteries .
After a work gathering in Bowen I made the quick stop and find here. Not quite as the hint suggests but the coordinates are good. I wonder if the groundskeeper is aware and if it will last long on it’s perch.
Thanks emilywanders for creating and placing this for us to enjoy. I’ll be back for the rest when I have more time next year.

Finally got a chance to return and complete our search for this one and today search was a a quick one as the cache was in the first bush we looked in. TFTC
Not quite where the hint suggested. H found without too much trouble. Lost some blood for his efforts. Lots of goodies and a german log book to sign. TFTC
[FTF]. What a way to finish an evening. This church has a lot of memories for me during my childhood days of going to school and being a regular Sunday visitor of this location. This was good timing for the dropping of this cache after the finish of The Block Finale. Thank you Emilywanders for being back-fond school day memories . TFTC.
