The regular picnic shelter has already been taken for the day so I have set up under the shade of the two big pine trees nearby. See you soon.

After an uneventful night last night I decided to start the new year on an active note and do a park run followed by some first caching in this year, a couple of events and a bike ride. It will be almost impossible to beat last year's statistics, but you never know.

Well Happy New Year to all my Caching buddies!

Great to see a good sized group here to celebrate the New Year.

23 is a celebrated number in the sporting world, which is really all about games so I wonder what 23 will bring to our game???

I haven't set myself a caching challenge for this year, yet....that doesn't mean I won't but with all the fires, covid lockdowns and rain and flooding over the last few years it has been realllllly difficult to complete my challenges, so we shall see.

Thanks for the event Brew. Hope 2023 is a good year for you.

This is my first log entry for 2023. A great chance to chat and mingle.
Now to see how my stats go in 2023 compared to previous years.

Attended this event, only for a short time. Great to see so many geocachers there. Happy New Year to everyone, may be all have a great year. Thanks Brew hope you will be Covid free very soon.

And another new caching year is upon us. And what better way to celebrate than with other cachers. but before that I managed to expunge a previous DNF.
Only problem was a puzzle that was too impenetrable - at least until it was tweaked.

Pleasant catch up - with a lot of the same faces as yesterday. Nice to meet the **moss2s** from a part of Spain I remember well - for a few of the wrong reasons.
And like yesterday we got to rough it under the trees!

The EO's new puzzle was handed around, but despite being sure we had done it right, the coordinates just wouldn't come out.
After fun and frustration, people started drifting away for a day's caching.

Afterwards, a few of us repaired to the cafe for an early lunch. And try to see where we went wrong at the puzzle - it wasn't us. At least I've solved it now.
And no dolls were pointed at...

Another fine New Year's Day event to start the caching year. A lot of familiar faces from yesterday's event and surprisingly who's names I remembered. Sitting writing this log having a Brewdog beer.

Thanks for coming along everyone. It was great to see you all there to welcome in the New Brew Year. So good to have some international visitors and those from interstate. And a few caching buddies I haven't seen in ages. Zelda enjoyed the company too. Happy Brew Year.

Well I shall be sad to see 22 over, 22 is such a great number, but what better way to start a New Year than with a Brewmaker event.
Count me in.

Happily we plan to attend in the company of friends Nana Nel and Wazza9. Look forward to seeing everyone. What a great way to spend New Years Day.
