Found by Mary and David with the VIC1 group. Today we started with the Bon Accord track caches and several others around Harrietville. After lunch at the pub, we headed out of town to tyackle the F.L.A.K.E. cache, which we completed. We found few Trads and multis along the way, and finished the day with an Event at the Bright pub. Our thanks to Ronice88.
Drove to the first few of these caches before resorting to Shanks pony for a few more. Impressed with the size and detail in many of these hides. Thanks again Ronice88
Chewinprickles, BettyBoo3747 and I decided upon today to try some of the F.L.A.K.E. puzzlesSo we loaded up the deadly treadlies and set off for Harrietville. We had solved them all when they first came out, but had not got around to look for them. We had to look at the puzzles again as so many of the hides were well themed.Nice puzzles and great hides for this series. It was easy to work out the puzzle for this cache! Nicely themed logsheet for this one, and a huge container! It was interesting to look up all the history behind the maps. Thanks, Robmc.
# 21628. The puzzle solver Robmc has had these done for a long time now. While the weather is still pleasant and with all the autumn colour in full force we decided to team up with Chewinprickles and have a nice ride and some harder walking to knock over this series. This was a monster. Nicely done and good writing implement provided. Names added, and contents returned as found. Thanks Ronice88
We had solved these caches bit by bit when they came out and what great puzzles they were! We had asked our niece about the weather up here and she said it can be warmer in summer and cooler in winter so we waited thill the weather was cooling down a bit in Melbourne and on the spur of the moment on Saturday we booked a place for Mon-Thur! After taking pretty much a whole day to get here yesterday and catching up with our niece late arvo there was no time to do any caches here yesterday so we made up for it today!! We headed north out of Harrietville and this was the next cache for the day. We got to within 60m of GZ and then there was a BIG puddle. We tried testing it out ourselves with a stick to see how deep it was but JMelb nearly toppled over in the said puddle so we gave up and decided to walk to the next 3 caches lol Cache was a nice easy find, a bit like a Babushka Doll and very cool. FP for this one! We dont have many to give so have to use them sparingly lol TFTC Ronice88 - GJMMelb
After a couple of days walking out and staying overnight at federation Hut , Mt Feathertop with Purplepeopleater. We had a go at doing caches around Harrietville and surrounding areas. With Puzzles solved and traditional cached to get, it made for a busy day of easy and not so easy terrain ratings. I will be back another day to finish off some of the ones we missed. TFTCMCheers dkmacca
Down in the Victorian Highlands for a couple of days hiking and geocaching with DKMakka. Perfect weather and a welcome relief from the Sydney humidity.Solved the Flake Series in anticipation of our trip, and enjoyed the well themed and innovative puzzles. A lot of work has gone into the caches themselves and it was great to discover some monster size caches mixed into. An excellent series and loads of fun (and effort) Thanks Ronnice88, I will be back hopefully sooner than later to this wonderful area.SL TFTC
Found at 12:02 PM GAFF1.Holy moly - that is a large alright! Even the container that held the log book was close to a large! Loved the log sheet - very clever.Took a while to tie it all up as intended, but it was a pleasure. Thanks to Ronice88
"Do your best" says the Hint! what kind of hint is that? I knew I was in trouble. We loved finding this cache. Awesome log book.Out with weirdobiker in the spectacular Harrietville area. The weather has been superb, perfect caching weather.Ronice88 thank you so much for luring me here with your imaginative, creative, educational crazy puzzles and caches. Have really loved my journey solving and finding your Snowmo & F.L.A.K.E series. Love your visuals and story telling to bring your caches to life.regardskbucky
I was surprised by the size of this huge barrel container that, literally, a monkey could fit in. This was another fantastically clever puzzle by Ronice88 and the log was one of the best Ive seen. Definitely worthy of a favourite point
The Snow Flake! I was a bit late to the party with this new geoart and needed assistance with most of the puzzle solves but I managed to get a few to collect whilst in town with the geokids this long weekend Awesome work with the hides again Ronice! Big caches are something you do so well! And the kids appreciate it!Lots of hard work has gone into the creation of this series. Thank you! Its a beautiful place to go searching for caches in. Awesome find at GZ! FP The kids loved it!
FTF. Found on a trip to Harrietville. I have been frantically solving puzzles for this trip. Only had a few days so didn't manage to get them all solved yet. Then someone else did a quick trip and grabbed lots of the FTFs, luckily there were a few left and I had managed to solve some of them so still had the chance to get a few. This was the last of the puzzles I had solved that still had a FTF up for grabs. Another that had a glitch with the checker. Really loved the log for this one as well. TFTC
If you think you were close, have another crack....may have had a small glitch with certitude!
