19-Jul-24
Headed to Camden today with frazeydaze to find some caches hidden by the prominent local cachers since our last visit to Camden. We grabbed this one while frazeydaze was doing the nearby Adventure Lab. She did get a surprise when a guardian cricket jumped out of the container. After signing the log she somehow managed to assist the cricket back into the cache. Cache all good. SLRC as found. TFTC

17-Jun-24
Quite a sizable puddle just before GZ. Need to wear gumboots to get to this cache at the moment.

25-May-24
After the recent rains, the area just before GZ remains damp/muddy. Cache is still in place. However, don't wear your Sunday shoes.

03-May-24
Finally found this cachet with help from its owners. Dropped in again after doing my shopping in Camden. Very well camouflaged, but a little easier to see with the cloudy sky and no sun shining in my eye. Thank you, Sue and Dan for your assistance with this one. TFTC

02-May-24
Checked on this today. Still in place.

01-May-24
Despite recent re-enabling I can find no cache even with the hint and a further look around as often my GPS is out. DNF

22-Apr-24
Cache has been replaced. There is still a muddy puddle to walk through just before GZ. Easy enough to skirt around. Just don't wear your Sunday shoes.

04-Apr-24
Cache has been temporarily removed until after the possible floods which are due this week.

03-Feb-24
Visiting from Brisbane and in the area for parkrun had us going right past this hide . When the universe says go and find a cache thats what you do . A few laps around the structure were completed before we finally spotted the sneaky little hide . Well done . TFTC

22-Jan-24
I spent the day caching in the Camden area. Smashed out 40 finds over 10 hours, a majority of which being pre-solved Mystery caches. Thanks to all Cache Owners for their caches.Interesting spot here. The hint was helpful. Took a little bit of searching and the right angle proved successful. TFTC

16 weeks! No, thats not how long its been since my last find, although it kind of feels like it, but how long its been since my last haircut! Whats that got to do with this? Well, I did manage to survive the whole time without going crazy! But today I did manage to rectify that issue with some intentional hair loss. As I do always go with the missus when she gets her done, this meant a small window of opportunity to search for a couple of hides before rounding her up. It was an unfortunate start as I was not able to successfully run down my first search nearby to the parkrun start. I was unnerved somewhat when approached by two passers by to check if I was ok. Eventually I headed off to here and took the opportunity to contact a PF geobuddy for a further hint to help.It was pretty hot this afternoon, so I walked under the trees rather than on the path, as there was little shade there. I have to admit that I have passed by here many many times, but until I actually looked with my device, thought that this was located on another similar structure. Hence my delay in attempting this hide, as it was often unaccessable from excess water, but this was not the case.Arriving at the structure, it was noticeable the lack of bird life today, but with the heat, I suppose to be expected? After a bit of a look around, I began my search. Wasnt looking promising for while until I spotted something a little suspicious and soon had the prize in hand. Completed duties and headed back but was not able to finish my initial search.

OCW Geospark62. Wow what a very clever hide. Had us fooled so much we had to resort to asking CO for an extra hint. I blame the glare!! Although it is raining signed log and replaced as found, thanks for the cache.

27-Oct-23
Great hideTook long time to locateNeeded extra hint from COTFTC

21-Oct-23
Found, but only with extra strong hint from CO. Muchas muchas gracias!!

The last finder reported that the bison tube was missing. So I cycled down to have a look and found it on the ground. Right under were you would be standing to retrieve this cache.Unfortunately a cap that would keep the bison tube in place was lost recently. This being the 2nd cap lost, we don't have any replacements. The black bison tube has been replaced with a silver bison tube which may make it easier to see if it is dropped into the grass. A new logsheet as the bison tube is slightly smaller than the old one.

20-Oct-23
Checked cache and it was still in place.

14-Oct-23
DNFd again even with info.Even with WW lying down to get a better look, still nothing.

14-Oct-23
No luck again even with phone in hand and me upside down.

05-Oct-23
I will say that's amazing that it SURVIVED!! So it's attachment surprisingly did a good job. When I tried to get to the log I ended up with a potato bug in hand and dropped everything!!!Easily found, signed and returned.Tfth dictaham and clan

22-Sep-23
Arriving at GZ, discounted at least half the structure, which hopefully the floods didnt reach nor fitted the hint, then spotted something similar to one of my own hides (though smaller) which proved to contain the cache. Sneaky hide and considering the water levels that were in the area, amazing it indeed survived attached!

07-Sep-23
Found it with help from owner! Thankyou!!

03-Sep-23
This one is tricky, we have tried a few times without any luck!

02-Sep-23
Find #: 3,334
Companions: None
Muggles: A few parkrunners
Weather: Lovely spring morning
Cache condition: Good

After running the nearby parkrun (that goes right past this point) I decided to find the local caches; this was in the middle of the adventure lab. I started my search too high, but when I readjusted it didn't take too long to get CIH due to the accurate co-ords - nice and subtle! TNLSNL TFTC

12-Aug-23
We are on a short (three day) caching holiday in and around Camden, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Poplar Tourist Park in Elderslie. Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some Adventure Labs, and find as many different cache icon types as we can to go towards this month’s "Wheel of Challenges" souvenir chase. The homeward journey will be via Galston, where we have pre-booked tickets for the Sunday running of the Hornsby Model Engineers Galston Valley Model Railway. Photos will be uploaded to some (most) logs on our return to home base.

Today (day 2) we started with a walk around Camden's Bicentennial Equestrian Park to collect some caches, followed by a brief visit to Camden Airport for a MultiCache, before heading into Camden's Town Centre for an Adventure Lab and some shopping. After lunch we took a stroll down through Wetlands Reserve and Kings Bush Reserve for another Adventure Lab and some other caches, before going for a loop drive around Cawdor Road, Burragorang Road, and the Old Hume Highway to collect some more caches. This was the 19th of 27 finds for the day (day 2), and 40th find of the holiday.

After finding the CO's Adventure Lab, and it's associated AL Bonus cache, we stopped at this Traditional cache on our way back to the start of the reserve. Looked in a few places before spotting the hide and having CIH. Opened up the container to find err......nothing. The container was empty, so we signed a piece of paper we had with us and then replaced everything as found.

Concerned we may have found the wrong cache container we sent off a message to the CO, with photos of what we found, and thankfully they confirmed the container to be the correct one. And a subsequent CO check found that an internal log container was found in the leaf litter, so it must have dropped out before our arrival. TFTC, and the speedy cache check, SueDan83.

Find #6284

After picking up a couple of buddies and picking up the last two A L s along this path on a beautiful sunny day. The river looks very drained and it is hard to imagine how far the water must have come during the floods.
This was such a tricky hide. Looking, Looking, this way then that way. HU said spotted. A clever hide indeed.
Fav point from me.
Thanks SueDan83 for the hide.

22-Jul-23
Out with Mrs "go-go" Bushies on a Camden cache raid. Our guides for the day were the amazingly generous SueDan83 duo. Awesome weather, caches and company made a perfect day.Wow the water is looking so low. I discombobulated the CO with my quick spotting... I would never lower myself to say "Too easy" but I just happened to to look at the right angle and quickly spot a very clever hide. Wink Definite FP. Thanks

19-Jul-23
Good hide!!

30-Jun-23
An easy vengeance find, another DNF off the list, thanks.

24-Jun-23
Very nice. Persistence is key.

The flooding referenced in the description affected our journey here due to an out-of-action bridge (see photos) but we found another way to jog here.

The hide took a little while to spot, but previous logs steered us in the right direction. Sneaky sneaky. TFTC

Early morning start for a parkrun at cowpasture and an event in Camden. Only time for a few caches on the way in and back.

27-May-23
Took a while to spot. It was a previous cache that told me that it was not the usual hide, so i looked for something different...and there it was.

27-May-23
Ran past during parkrun. Returned after coffee. This is a very unique hide. Glad it survived.

20-May-23
Fun hide, looked high and low and dodged many a spiderweb before having CIH. TFTC

03-May-23
Ok. I’m rusty… very rusty. Years ago this would’ve taken a few seconds to nab. Today almost a DNF as the young master wasn’t too keen after copping a face full of diodes webs. Todays effort was almost 10 mins with 8 of those under protest TFTC

18-Apr-23
A short detour on the way home to look for this cache.
Took a lot longer than it should have but I eventually found it in the last place I looked! Don't know why I didn't check there earlier Smile

It has been a relatively slow start to the caching year for me, but after a particularly challenging week I really felt the need to get out for some fresh air and exercise - it really is the best medicine. GGCoconut, HJCoconut and I decided to set our sights on some of the local caches that have popped up in the last couple of months. This is always a lovely place for a stroll and we enjoyed looking for and counting ducks along the way. I can't tell you the number of times I've run past this GZ and there is never anyone there. Today however, it was just our luck that on approach a couple just ahead of us made a beeline for the platform. So we decided to continue on and spend some time at the park a little further along. After using up some energy, we made our way back and couldn't believe it when we spotted someone else at GZ! However as I looked closer I was sure this was a fellow cacher I'd met once before and I hoped I had the name right as we said hello thankfully my memory had not failed me as we enjoyed a brief chat with Martin Cousins while simultaneously looking for the cache. GGCoconut happened to be in the right spot and at the right angle to spot the extremely well hidden cache which blends in so excellently. Well done SueDan83, as always I am impressed by your resourcefulness! Thanks for the cache and a FP for the nice hide and location.

01-Apr-23
Finally found and about to log it when Meriton approached GZ, she knew exactly who I was and now the second cacher found today after bumping into Adventshel

21-Mar-23
Whilst a couple hundred metres away we noticed a similar lookout and mentioned we were glad the cache wasn’t on that one as access would’ve been a real issue. We were still a bit worried but once near GZ it all became clear. We had our hands on the well disguised camo within only a minute or two. Thank you

21-Mar-23
Finally!!! we weren't giving up on this one... Thanks for your help Sue! so sneaky...

20-Mar-23
Checked on cache today. Still there, although cache creep has occurred .
Now replaced to original location.
Saw 4 Royal Spoonbills nearby. Very nice.

A sneaky hide that even I could have reached but got the youngest member of our group to grab. The little black cap fell off but we placed it so it should be still be secure. Have a FP. TFTC

16-Feb-23
One last geocache for the day, then I might do the COs Adventure Lab.

I used to spend a lot of time on this track through my life but don't often get here these days. I was saving this one for a planned walk with some workmates but that has been postponed several times so never mind.

I parked in the obvious place and was slightly bemused by the young man in a banana onesie sitting on a park bench nearby. Takes all sorts...

Knowing the subtle ingenuity of the COs I thought I'd best approach this methodically. To that end I started right near the cache. It was the sort of hide I expected and in one of the first places I looked. That must somehow explain why I didn't see it. I then proceeded to examine almost the entirety of the structure before returning to the start to look for a different hide and immediately finding the blasted thing. Perfect shady little spot, allows the cache to exhibit some real Phantom/Batman skills.

Thankfully in all this time no-one had come by. So I was able to return to the path unobserved, and thence to the car, where I once again saw Bananaman at his post. Perhaps looking out for Appleman...

Oh, and I did indeed see many Pacific Black Ducks and a grebe.

04-Feb-23
After attending a friend's 40th birthday lunch, I escaped the crowds from the Chinese new years celebration and found myself along these peaceful nature trails, with only a scattering of people.
A tranquil location (except for the loud buzz of the cicadas).
Thanks for the cache.

21-Jan-23
Great hiding spot that required a few geosenses. I picked this up after the Cowpasture Parkrun, but would not have visited this viewing platform if not for this cache. Thanks for the hide in this lovely spot.

(4 of 4 today)

Back from Melbourne and though it a perfect afternoon to up my calendar find count. Decided on Camden where I had a few solved puzzles and new Traditionals to snaffle.

Went for four and found all of them.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Slightly worried about the previous DNF, but still arrived in a familiar pathway and started the search.
And quickly spotted something I've seen before - sorry **Raby Roamers**.

Made the grab, inked the log, replaced and took in the view before heading back to *The Hademobile* and home.

Ah the shame. We looked and after a long time we admitted defeat. Will be back one day to avenge this DNF.

08-Jan-23
A quick find while in the area. TFTC.

05-Jan-23
Luckily changed to old shoes in car, before starting. Could see why this one took so long to be listed as water appeared to be still high along the walkway.Made the mistake of taking wrong geotrail, should have walked 20 further for a better one. Im sure the river came up and went down overnight at GZ, as very wet conditions after overnight rain. Not my best find as had to PAF as didn’t want to stick around there too long. Anyway found and made it back out to dry land.tftc

02-Jan-23
I have done this parkrun a few times and never noticed what was at GZ. Luckily I must have channeled the owners as this was my second idea of the hiding style. Very clever.

Last find before returning to work after Christmas.

TFTC.

Tftc. Parked at cords for parking and made the pleasant walk to GZ. Mrs Jaybeem balked at long grass and thongs so out I went for a quick find.

01-Jan-23
After a long lunch decided to make a trip out here and stretch my legs . Good to locate my first cache for the year . Admittedly spent over 10 mins looking and poking here and there spent far too much time looking what I thought be the expected logical spot . As some muggles approach I continued reading about common waterbirds . Once the area was clear , i continued with my search . The coordinates indicated I was at ground zero . And I saw an unexpected camo which is not what I had in my mind I was looking for ! But at the end considering where it was , a excellent camo. TFTC SueDan83

FTF 17:05 actually walked the path this morning at my #100 Park Run. So knew this location instantly. A great spot and now after the flooding the duck pond is receding quickly. I remember doing another cache here years ago. This cache is very good, that’s all I will say as not to include a “spoiler”. A FP and Happy New Year to all, thanks.
