This cache was a short detour en route to Oxford and beyond, so we decided to stop and look for it. Being a Saturday morning, we thought that it might be rather busy but all good, just a a couple of joggers and one other car spotted.GZ looked a bit daunting but StreetWalkerNZ found it in the first place searched, even before my GPSr had time to settle! What a great sports complex this is. Thanks for your first hide, OllyandPete, looking forward to more . TFTC.

16:06 Grumpy man alert! As I was logging in the logbook, a man cam round the corner of the nearby fence, and as he was passing me by, he grumpily asked "what are you doing here?". I didn't have any good excuse planned, and I was literally holding the logbook and pen in my hand and I simply said "finding a geocache!"The man grumbled "ok", rolled his eyes and carried on.Congrats on your 100 finds a year ago! Smile I am finding 8 caches today to be ready for my 10000th one tomorrow at my event! And this is the 3rd to last left to find today.Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, OllyandPete!#9996

Out and about for a drive with Mrs Biggles. We stopped along the way to find a couple of caches. Kids on the grounds playing cricket. Far enough away from the cache not to be a problem. Coordinates spot on so the cache was found pretty much in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.

As I was getting prepared to ride with my local Monday morning cycling group I received notification of this new cache. The ride initially took us all in the complete opposite direction to Mandeville but then looped back to follow up the north bank of the Waimakariri and lead us all toward South Eyre Road before planning to turn northwards to the cafe at Silverstream. At that stage, seeing I was only about 4km in a direct line from the cache, I decided to leave the group and head for the cache, foregoing my morning coffee. Sad

Some 12 or 13 minutes later I was at GZ. After a brief foray at another downed tree my gps finally settled and I homed in on the cache at 11:00am. After unrolling the log I was surprised to find that I had just obtained my 2nd FTF for the year. Yea.[^] Thanks for placing your 1st cache OllyandPete. I look forward to finding more of your caches. Cheers.
