Found by caughtatwork on 27/10/2024 at 4:23:00 PMNo bords for us today, but a nice walk out to the cache location.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1

After driving into the school grounds and wandering over to find No Gold in these Arches i foolishly returned to the geochariot rather than continue walking in the quest for this one. Once i got back, I found that i couldnt drive any further through the school grounds. Rather than learn from my mistake, i decided, with my usual lack of judgement, to press on and compound my errors. My long looping route meant that i navigated to this one on foot via school private property (probably), muddy tracks, cow paddocks, steep cliffs and plenty of self doubt. The geopooch loved it. Eventually i arrived at gz and after a little searching had the cache in hand. I could have used a tott to get to the log but cleverly i had left my gear in the vehicle and i sure wasnt going back to grab it. Eventually i had the log signed and then enjoyed the easy stroll back to the geochariot via the route i should have taken in the first place. I think thats enough for today. I planned a busy geocaching weekend with four events including one of my own. There was Cachemas in July on Saturday and a cito for national tree day on Sunday. After all that i thought a few quiet cache finds were in order before i headed home. Plus the poor old geopooch had been waiting in the geovehicle all morning and needed a good run. Kookaburra Laughs is find number 3,734 for me. A fun micro sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Hume City. I am logging this one on Sunday 28 July 2024 at 2:40 pm and the weather is Overcast Clouds 11C 66% 2 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy deanside.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Finally got myself out here! A nice walk, at times not knowing where it would take me bit I knew there would be caches. Thanks deanside for creating for us all to enjoy. No kookaburras (Billy Idols) today but lovely birds and serenity. --------------------------------------------------------The nominees for the [**2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/) have been announced. Well I really should trust the gps coordinates and not where I think it would be. Found it after I went back to the right spot. Saw a nearby fort the local kids had built too, not bad. Thanks Deanside.
There are some forts around here! I had to sneak in as the track was fenced off.
What do you do when it is going to be a hot day, go out and find a cache of course.Im on a personal challenge to better my number of days caching in a row which is 67.It wont be a streak as that is to hard while Im still working and have also found most of my local caches anyway. This involves some major detours on the way home from work or like today pick one that is in the area.I worked out the best place to park for this one by going over google maps using satellite view and saving the waypoint last night.I headed out really early to bet the heat and nobody seems to be up this early either.Parked near the gate and headed off towards GZ.A nice walk along the track which was mainly flat except for the last section.Soon spotted the cache and added my name to the log. Thanks deanside TFTC.
We weren't sure how to get into this one as each way we tried was barred by locked gates. GT37 worked out a possibility and I was happy to go for the walk. It was a nice stroll and I was able to find this cache and another along the trail. GT37 drove around and picked me up from where I exited. Maybe we could have made it further during the week when the gates might be open. Happy to have found this cache. Thank you for placing it.
In the area and decided to grab my 300th day in a row. Aiming to get to 500. Took a while but eventually caught my eye.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 7/8/2023.
This one has been on the radar for a while and with today's lovely weather I headed out with the family to turn this into a smiley.
We enjoyed the walk through the scrub to GZ where the cache eluded us for some time. The hint was no help (and I still didn't get it after finding the cache!) but eventually I spied the little sucker and added my name to the log.
No Kookaburras at GZ but we did hear one as we walked out of the reserve.
TFTC!

A fun day out and about around Sunbury, in the great company of the Suscoe duo. We found a variety of caches, including this one which made us laugh as we added our name to the log.
Thanks to deanside for adding this cache to the gameboard.

A day out caching in the Sunbury / Melton area with our good friends Phetlern.
It was cloudy, a little rain at times, cool and lots of fun.
We enjoyed our day and enjoyed visiting the various locations around this area.
Thanks to Deanside for this hide.
No kookaburras today.

Out and about with Echidna44, we were targeting caches around the Sunbury area. There are some magnificent bluestone bridges around Sunbury. It is a place of contrasts, new estates and old homesteads and bridges. This cache was found after a decent walk to GZ, followed by a short search.
Out caching in the Sunbury area with BoabTree. We did not see or hear a kookaburra, but we did find the cache. Thanks deanside.
Walked back from the bridge cache nearby through the scrub. Very quiet, no muggles…
Thanks for bringing me here again - geocaching brought me here about 5 years ago. I appreciated the tip about bringing tweezers too.

This morning I traversed the bushland of the old Sunbury Rings multicache to find this new Traditional in the area. What a cool place to see.
My advice to anyone coming this way, bring tweezers, you're going to need it.
After finding the micro and signing the log, I heard what was 2-3 Kookaburras having a laugh together somewhere in the bush.
Following their call to see if I could get a witness I came across a burnt out car, upside down in a gulley which looks to be a much older model of car of what we have today (complete with the wooden spokes) and a couple of makeshift camping sites/hangout spots.
When I reached the car, I spotted one female Kookaburra in the tree looking over me.
According to GPS Point the Car is located at:
S37° 33.935 E 144° 44.170

Stood at the base of the kookaburra tree and listened to their song as the sun was setting and the birds were returning to roost for the night.
Thanks for the adventure.
Had to use my orienteering skills to get here.
