With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… On the hunt for caches to complete a couple of challenges. Desperation has forced us to travel widely with rain as a constant threat.

This was a quick find. The cache was certainly more obvious than evidence of the former Tahawai Station. Thanks tryfyn for the on going railway history. TFTC.

Headed down this way for some RnR with Mrs stik-a-crane and junior cacher, staying at nearby Waihi Beach..... spotted this group of caches placed in this reserve, so decided for a little stroll.....an awesome spot....warm clear water, no one around, accept a few dog walkers and the odd horse exercising.....

Had to grab the few along the road on the way back to Waihi Beach....

The cache was all good.

TFTC.

After a few months of no caching due to other commitments have a day today for ME TIME!! Awesome to be back in the saddle ( so to speak)) again.

Nice quick park and grab.

I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Thanks Tryfyn I enjoy. Your Side track seriesI am sure it triggers memories of my pastwhen my parents used to pack me up as 8 year old and send me to Papakura for the school holidays to stay with my Aunty ...lol a big adventure for me...the cache was all good and a straight forward find..many thanks for the placement

We had to do some cache maintenance up the line a bit and included finding a couple of caches on the way there and back. It was very pleasing to find this cache. The road in to Tuapiro Point is busy today, and orchardists were busy with maintenance nearby. It's hard to believe that there was a busy railway here once. Way back before kiwifruit became so popular. Thanks for the placement, tryfyn.

It certainly won't get wet inside 3 containers!
Greeted by giant cicada and it's friends!

Nice #FTF# on our way to Waihi Beach. Surprised it hadnt been found yet. Spotted the cool camo as we walked up to it & got attacked by the local cicada. A bit rainy but you gotta do it. Tftc

A little wet, but when there is a possible FTF, the rain doesn’t matter. On our way to Waihi beach stopped and got this cache. Cool camo. Tftc
