This is a very interesting place. Washing the wool would have been dirty work, for sure. I searched high and low for this cache, and found nothing. I read some previous logs which ruled out one of those options. I searched some more, and invoked the power of Muggle Husband. It was his Royal Highness who spotted the cache in its deceptive hiding place. Awesome spot for a cache.

Apologies for the late log, we have just come back from a 10 day holiday to South Australia, spending every minute we could with family Today (Wed 25/9) we checked out of the accomodation in here in Port MacDonnell which is only about 100m from this cache, just after 8.30am so we could find a few more caches here before heading to Meningie for the night. We had actually tried looking for this one yesterday but to no avail and moved on to other caches. Overnight we PAF'd who was able to give us a bit more of a focussed area to look and so we found it pretty quickly todaytucked away in its spot. Thanks pp for the help! Whilst here we also gathered the remaining info for the Tour Multi. TFTC Imogen_Lee - GJMMelb

We headed out today to enjoy a variety of locations. We revisited the forest area to the east of Millicent to complete a couple of trails and then headed across country to the coast at Port Mac.It was a lovely morning with lots of sun, then the clouds rolled in later in the day with some light drizzle and a very strong wind on the coast. We headed down a variety of roads from sand to asphalt and everything inbetween. We had a terrific day out and enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to Imogen_Lee for this hide. So windy here this afternoon.

Two visits to GZ, on the way into and then back out of Port McDonnell. Peered at everything from different angles. Checked on the ground. Stood inside the wheel and looked up. Didnt see anything that looked cache-like. Checked around the info boards, also. Oh well

After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and slowly catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 6 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future ??

**Today:**Found with DSDMy first ever day in South Australia Woke up in Mount Gambier today with no real destination, but a big list of caches! Ended up just up the road in Millicent, but still several hundred kilometres travelled as we detoured down to the coast! The biggest goal of today, and the entire trip, was finishing my AUSMER! We found not only one, but two caches in my final month I needed! Its been a multi-year challenging journey, so good for it to be finished! ---**This Cache:**Cool spot for a tough hide, spent a while looking before taking the T rating a bit more literally and landing my sight on the cache! A fun retrieval and replacement before heading offTFTC

I headed across the border this morning hoping to convert a few frowny faces into smiles and had a little success managing 2 out of 4 beaten by the ocean on the other 2.
I managed to find and sign the original cache quite quickly in a location I'm sure I checked thoroughly on my previous visit, go figure!
Nice to turn the frown upside down. Big Grin

Thanks Imogen Lee

It was getting cooler down at here today. I arrived at GZ with hevwalker, PrincessAria1, LittleGoose and JooJoo57 and had a search around, rang some previous finders to see where they had replaced it as it wasn't where CO and I had hidden it originally. After a thorough search it was obvious it was missing. With permission from CO original cache type has been rehidden to be found signed by us all. Thanks for the cache Imogen_Lee.

Met up with some local cachers after arriving in the Mount Gambier area early in the afternoon. Completed an AL at the cemetery then found a few caches. Great way to learn about the local area. Thanks for the cache.

A quick trip to Port Mac this afternoon to do an Adventure Lab Cache & a couple of others that were waiting for us to find. Teamed up with scramping, PrincessAria1, LittleGoose & joojoo57. Not able to locate the cache but replaced with CO's permission. It's funny how caches go missing so quickly sometimes.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 8. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 2. After a driving day yesterday to wrap up the mega weekend, today was a trip from Mount Gambier down to the southern coast line with Sol de Lune, Smitten Granny, Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and me (albida33). F.A.M.S.S was the initial in the logs today. Our goal in this region was to visit the two old caches out this way and a few others that are nearly as old. We also managed about ten Earth caches and even went for a walk or two. We ended the day with caching and LABs around Mount Gambier before retiring for a home cooked meal at the caravan park.

Like a few others we found this on the ground. The magnet might be not coping with all the rust. It was placed back above head hight after being signed.

Thanks for the cache Imogen_Lee

30,524. Found with minniek, albida33, Sol de lune, smittengranny (signing either as FAMSS or MAFSS to save room and just for fun). After the hordes around Rutherglen it was good to drop down to a group of 5.

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 7. Today we had a full day to explore around the Mt Gambier region, with a few older caches targeted plus many others on our list. We started heading along the south coast which was spectacular to see. This was an interesting location. After a search I found the cache in the mud on the ground. Signed, replaced above head height, then we headed off to the next one on our list.

Thanks Imogen_Lee !!

Day 7 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.

Today was our first day caching with albida, Sol de lune & smittengranny. We signed as MAFSS to save room. Some of us may have rebelled and signed FAMSS instead. It was a bit dreary and windy but we didn’t get too wet.

The aim was to collect a couple of counties, old caches to finish my Ausmer calendar, and just to have fun.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

We almost had a DNF but fitzy found this one on the ground. Log signed and Sol put it back up where we thought it should be.

Today there were two cars of geobuddies travelling around this area collecting a variety of caches based on age, type and favourites. It was an incredibly successful day and thanks must go to all COs for placing such interesting and sometimes challenging caches. This was one of the caches we found and all were signed either as MAFSS or FAMSS , as the group consisted of minniek, Albida33 Fitzy_1965, Sol de Lune and myself Smittengranny.

Headed to Mount Gambier after the Rutherglen Mega with fitzy_1965, Albida33, Minniek, and Smittengranny. We signed all logs as FAMSS.

We targeted a few older caches, a few multi's, a few puzzles always as well as a couple of earthcaches.......and really anything else we had time for.

This one was a quick find and the log was soon signed.

Thanks Imogen Lee...

TFTC. We are camped at Penola for the week. Each day we head out to explore and cache. Today we headed out to Port MacDonnell. The main aim was to find the 2001 Lady Nelson Views. Once that was achieved we made our way back along the coast toward the town, caching as we went.
A great day with the rain holding off.
While finding the answer for the a multi , i searched for this one. Found quicker than expected.

Found on our travels through the area, heading to Portland from Millicent today. While passing by noticed that this was unfound so a detour was made to have a look. A couple minutes of searching GZ and the find was made, insert nano rant here. Signed the empty log and replaced as found. All good here.

Find #5146 on 31 Jan 2023.
