On a senior's Metro trip to Chatswood. While Mrs Brew shops, I caught the train to a few local stations to grab a few caches. The hint didn't help, but I took my chances at something near a hose which was was around 8m out. No way! That can't be legal. It's buried and potentially dangerous. Not surprisingly, the log is a little damp. And the cache type in the description (cigarette box?) no longer matches what it is now (cylinder/peanut butter jar?). TFTC

Find #24Stopped by after coffee with the family. No muggles apart from those in their apartments, and pleasant weather for a winter day.Extremely wet logbook, unsignable with the pen provided, lucky I brought a pen of my own. Questionable place to put this cache, but who am I to judge. Signed log and returned. TFTC

Have a good hunch where this is, however a muggle was sitting in their appartment looking out onto me. Given it's so close to home, decided I'll swing back another time.

Came down on the train from N'cle today with BillHill531 targeting caches on the North Shore Line. I didn't know whether to attack from Lindfield or Roselle. Didn't matter, it was a fair walk both ways. A quick find with the hint given. TFTC Importunity.

Loved the name and a quick find. Many have probably asked the question themselves, thanks

13-Aug-23
Wow I have driven past this many a time not realising it was a park. Got to GZ and spotted something that would hide a cache but didn’t check at first. Looked around near the trees but came back to my original thought and yes there it was.

29-Jul-23
Found it! Very interesting location TFTC

09-Jul-23
Out caching with MM and collecting caches in this area. Why why why do plants need rain.

09-Jul-23
Poignant park and story.
Hide was obvious when we did eventually discover it.
Thanks Importunity

09-Jul-23
This wasn’t a quick find as the cache was in a problematic location. I wouldn’t usually look there. But my mate took the plunge Seems he’s braver than me!

In an attempt to log as many days as possible with a find this month, for the current "Wheel of Challenges" souvenir chase, I stopped off on my way home from a night shift to have a look at this traditional cache in Lindfield. Parked the geomobile in Grosvenor Road, then crossed over the busy Pacific Highway at the traffic lights, and then headed down to Millwood Park and the cache location.

Arrived at GZ and spied a likely cache hiding place which, on closer investigation, resulted with CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. I managed to sign the log with the wrong date, still having my night shift UTC date (8th) in mind, but the embedded EXIF data on the photos confirms the correct local date (9th).

Afterwards I visited the "WHY?" sculpture and snapped a few photos, then headed off homeward for some much needed sleep. TFTC Importunity.

I was jogging around Lindfield and decided to pass by this spot and avenge my DNF. I was focused on a certain area, but when this didn't turn up a container decided to search somewhere else. Hmmm, WHY did I not see it when I checked there last time?! TNLNSL TFTC

21-May-23
Why would you place a cache in such a spot? Why?Why?Why?
Thanks Importunity.

??

Due to ongoing issues with the previous container, it has been replaced with a more traditional one. It is now the size of a large peanut butter jar. Pencil inside, as is log. Enjoy!

Many good questions begin with why....
Why does the moon rotate around Earth?
Why do we still not have standards for fuel quality inAustralia?
Why do Western Sydney geocachers log caches at the Rutherglenn mega event without actually finding them?
Why do we get a kick in finding a cache?
Why do people open a second (or third) fake account, place a cache, and then log a FTF with their real account?
Why am I complaining?

TFTC!

11-Apr-23
Couldn't see anything. Was poking around in council then private gardens for 20mins.

09-Apr-23
Even with the coordinates pasted, we couldn’t find this. I stopped after a few minutes, as it looked like I was digging up the public garden!

02-Apr-23
The logsheet is wet as the container is broken.

16-Mar-23
I headed up here on an extremely hot afternoon, which may have impacted my searching skills, as despite a decent search of the likely objects, and using both the new and suggested co-ords, I was unable to get CIH Sad Thanks anyway

15-Mar-23
Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 46.848 E 151° 10.220

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 46.876 E 151° 10.241

Distance from original: 200.9 feet or 61.2 meters.

Appears the original coordinates were incorrect.
Have returned to the site and retaken same.

05-Mar-23
Why are the co-ordinates so far out?
Is it possible the given co-ordinates are for parking? I think so.
Why has the cache camo fallen apart?
Is it possible a previous finder forgot to put part of it back?
Why is the log so wet?
About 2 weeks ago we had torrential rain and this area flooded so every time it rains heavily or the plants are watered the log will get wet.

Probably not the best place for a long lasting cache.
Anyway found it.
Third find for a day I wasn't even planning on going out caching!

That is indeed the Question?! TFTC

28-Feb-23
A trip over to the north side with Oldmorty was the order of the day. Reading all the logs it seemed we were going to be using coords from previous finders and not sure WHY the cache coords haven't been adjusted yet. Circled the new GZ for quite a while and then saw a private vessel that I discounted as it was a privately owned thing. Opened it to see the cache. TFTC!

28-Feb-23
Ventured over to the Northern Suburbs today with morty8888. While morty8888 tried to find a park I had a look around without any luck. When morty8888 turned up he told me that the posted coords were considerably out and that some adjusted coords were in a log. After poking around in the garden morty8888 saw something nearby that needed investigation. Bingo CIH. TFTC

27-Feb-23
With accurate coords from the FTFers it was an instant find at GZ. Cool! TFTC

17-Feb-23
(2 of 3 today)

After shopping and lunch with the Geowife, I headed northeast for some finds this afternoon. Started with two recent placements - that bring my Jasmer back up to date - and then headed a little further east to attempt a previous DNF.

Got everything without any real trouble. HUZZAH!
###END OF CUT AMD PASTE SECTION###
Found the statue, but the coordinates were poi t me to an illogical spot. A quick check and I was even more concerned, so I checked the logs.
A quick read of **BoogieRogue's** log gave me a different place to check, and once there made the find quickly.
Yeah, those coordinates badly need updating.

Added my ink to the log, replaced and off to my final target.

Took a weekend drive with goingplaces2 to pick up some target caches without the weekday work traffic. This cache took some finding as noted in previous logs. Once found the log was signed and replaced. TFTC.

12-Feb-23
Why, indeed.
Why is the cache over 50 metres from the listed co-ordinates?
Why has the CO not amended the co-ords to real position?
Why were we able to find it with ilook4geo? Answer: Because BoogieRogue generously put really good co-ords in their log. TFTC.
