Today was all about helping a fellow cacher, a chance to visit a few caches north of town, handing over two TBs and a catch up before we go our separate ways in the next couple of weeks. After an unsuccessful thorough search of GZ (where our GPS put us) a previous log got us looking slightly further afield. Bingo. Thanks for the cache strangelooksDawsons.
Owl needed a lift to her physio and Sushilord's reward was an afternoon of caching. Any misses Owl had can be put down to her vertigo. (That's her story and she's sticking to it!) As usual, a nice haul along with nice company and a new good bakery added to the list. This was the first find of the day and a bit of a search, as the coordinates didn't agree with their GPSes. Other searchers might find S34 49.463 E 138 40.241 more helpful.
He finally found it 12m to the left of where GZ had us. I wish we had seen the original container. Great park area here!
Found it after about 20 minutes of looking and when you find it the hint makes sense lol
Found it! Good hide and a little hint for you look for the hardest thing around dont get pocked in the eyes with low branches
After being on the sick list for the last few weeks I decided some fresh air was in order. So I headed out to the north east suburbs to clean a few unfound caches off my map. Twenty caches were sought with 18 found...of which 15 were BFE caches. Thanks Bob for those 15 hides and to all other cache owners as well (and please excuse my generic logs). Fortunately there weren't too many muggles about today so finding the caches was pretty straight forward - although the traffic in the Ingle Farm Shopping Centre car park was a law unto itself. No poles were needed and the ladder came out once. TFTC.
Off on another fun day caching the north and northeast 'burbs and beyond with Mr Froghoppin. and... that wasn't what I expected from the name of the cache! never a s s u m e Spotted neatly hidden away. Thank you strangelooksDawsons for the cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------Caching country and city... wherever we go... In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid lumps falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Think Covid's over ? Well no, actually... and we don't want your flu, gastro or cold germs either - so practise safe caching please! Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! [:o)]C'est fini... For now... ... until next time! PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... it'll be fun and funky
Time for another tuesday caching adventure with Mattycat, with no set plan for the day we found ourselves in the northern suburbs, we had visions of a metal tin man but as we approached GZ we realised we would have to search a little harder, soon found tucked neatly awayTFTC strangelooksDawsons
Found after a short search, fortunately not too close to the fence with the neighbours being so close.TFTC
I need one quick cache, close to where dad lives, and this is perfect. My sister used to come to Burragah, and I used to work at the Clovercrest pub, yet I’ve never been to this spot before. Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man, that he didn’t already have. What the heck was that about? Thanks for this most convenient cache strangelooksDawsons.
Found during a caching foray heading out along Lefevre Peninsula and across to the north-eastern suburbs, between lunch and dinner events. Thanks for the cache strangelooksDawsons!
After a morning walk in Morialta Conservation Park am now heading to Gepps cross with a slight detour. Cache all ok. TFTC
A day out was organised with Michells&hound and allister w to the badlands to find caches that all three of us had not found. It was a fun day even though I had a bit of trouble walking as my back was playing up. Luckily there weren't any long walks involved and we managed to find all but one of the caches we looked for. The weather was a bit hit and miss and we did get rained on a couple of times, but the rain didn't last long.
This one took a while to find but we got there in the end.
Thanks for the cache strangelooksDawsons.

Found with JJ52 and Michells&hound on a caching day around the NE suburbs. It was a bit cold and the odd bit of rain but we found some really good caches. TFTC
Out with JJ52 and Allisterw for a caching day in NE suburbs. The weather was interesting cold and rain ️ too at times other times pleasant.
We found 27 caches for the day and a splendid time was had even through JJ had issues with her sciatica. Only 1 dnf for the day which was a good return.
This took a while to locate TFTC

After a DNF here a few weeks ago, thought we'd return for another look .On a new day and with a clear mind, we pretty much walked straight up to this one , our GPS miraculously wanting us in a completely different place today .TNLNSL.Thanks for another one StrangelooksDawsons.
I came here just after this one was published but was put off by a barking dog and people on the other side of the fence. Today wasn't much better but I persevered and made a fairly quick find.

Saw this published while 100km+ away and have been itching to get to it and today I was running an errand close by, so the decision was to make a detour and make the find. Parked nearby and wandered to GZ. Surveyed the location and hoped the hide was not what I initially suspected. Looked around and the GPS wanted me a little further on so obliged and then spotted something, which turned out to be the cache. Extracted a well themed cache, signed the log and then replaced it as found. Fave for the effort on theming the cache.

Couldn't see it at first. But then read the logs. Posted coordinates in the log are accurate.
Nice, quick stop, grab, sign, rehide on my way home from work today

Found eventually, yay a mint tin, 12m from the listed co-ords, just as the muggle dog started yapping!!!
Surprised ttrogg didn't get sprung if shining a torch around, by the neighbours windows so close to the listed co-ords and actual GZ!

It was a bit hard to find. I needed a phone call and then I needed to process the information. And then the cache appearred. Neat set up.

The usual Tuesday Trekking for members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving group. Yet again I picked up S.A. Sewer Rat from the rat's nest, then on to Blackadders Snakepit where he jumped in. [^] Yet again we did the Snakes's latest offering and then it was off towards the northeast suburbs for the 4th week in a row trying to finish all the caches we still had there and anything else we came across.
My GPS decided it would had a hissy fit last week and I gave up on it after three years and replaced it. [^] Getting used to the new one had a few teething problems. Not all of us required every cache so here are the caches I was able to put my name in the log. Be glad to head somewhere else next Tuesday.
Like Squizzie we found this one about 10 metres south of where the GPS wanted it to be. Still a find is a find and as per Geocaching 101: When in doubt - spread out!
***Thanks strangelooksDawsons for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

That Tuesday Trek time of the week again with a starfish and a Rat. Again we targeted the North East suburbs attempting to clean up the area of unfound hides. The Starfish had the most for the day as it was an area that he rarely gets to cover. Because of the warmish day many were just drive by's or short walks.
All caches were is good condition unless stated otherwise.
One that took a little longer than it should as the GZ was a few meters out but the hint gave us an idea of what we were seeking. Found by the Adder, all signed and returned as found.
Thank you for the cache strangelooksDawsons Find Number 10423 on 21/02/2023

Three befuddled puzzlers went out For a Tuesday Trekking.
The Starfish picked up the Rat, from the Rat's den.
We then wandered down to the Snake's pit.
This one took longer than it should have to find.
The Adder soon had the cache in his scales. Tftc

The soccer game was in full motion. The crowd did not cheer when I found the cache.
Thanks strangelooksDawsons and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

Found 10m south of my gz. Listening to a coach speaking to his young soccer chargers while I was searching. Thanks strangelooksDawsons for the hide.
Looked around here for quite awhile, but we must have been missing something , our GPS wanting us over the fenceline [B)].Thanks anyway StrangelooksDawsons.
Today I headed up this way to come for a run and saw this new one on the map so made the detour to it, arrive and wasn't having any luck.
Coords a bit out but once I PAFd and the cache was found the log book was stamped
Thanks for the cache
