Reperio 08:32The youngest and I headed into Shepparton today from staying with family in Nathalia, and were looking to spend the day finding some local caches. We pulled up at GZ, and went to the likely spot, and indeed we found light! Well sort of. With the area so flooded at the moment, it nice to still be able to retrieve this one. Genesis 1: 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 1.:2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 1:3 And God said, "LET THERE BE LIGHT," and there was light. 1:4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 1:5 God called the light "day" and the darkness he called "night". And there was evening, and there was morning - the first day. Thanks Zinnia94 for a cache that highlights the beginning of God's creation and very appropriately on Lord Road!!!Needed a cache today to complete my January calendar so thought I would venture out to Lord Road and as well as grabbing this cache, check out how far the floodwaters had come (photo attached). Thankfully a quick find at GZ and quick access to the log. Found a similar cache at Wangaratta once and had great trouble accessing the log, so much so one of my big flaws, anger, took over and consumed me. Nice hide Zinnia94. TFTC

There is an obvious hiding spot here but it took a little longer to find the cache in its somewhat obscure niche. I enjoyed the find, the container and the dry log.

My Trip
Yesterday i managed to strain my knee while doing some cleaning up outside, this morning it seemed to hurt more and i decided that i wouldnt be able to get back to the task today. I was feeling a bit caged inside and wondered what i could do that wouldnt strain my left knee too much while also allowing me to do some gentle exercise as well. Driving would be ok... Short walks would help it.... Some sun and nature always makes me feel better.... hmmm.... Well caching sounds perfect!
So i checked out my map and decided to head in the Shep direction where i could catch an event as well. So i strapped the knee, grabbed the geopooch and my geo-go bag and set off.

Cache found and log signed with dalerious and LizzieandE Big Grin.

After spending the morning with our daughter enjoying a beautiful birthday breakfast in Shepparton, we drove back to Tatura to meet up with LizzieandE for some good old fashion caching.

We decided to head back East as time had got away from us, and dalerious and I had sheep to unload at 1500.

This was the fourth cache visited for the short afternoon of caching, and it brought us to a beautiful forest. Much nicer here than the forest between Mooroopna and Shepparton.

Thank you for bringing us here on such a lovely afternoon Zinnia94 Big Grin.

Found with friends while cruising on a lazy Sunday chasing caches. Cool
Piling in with LizzieandE, catnap777 and I made it a caching foursome as we toured the town picking up a few newish caches we had all yet to visit. Razz [:X] [:X] Smile

[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

You mean to tell me he did all that in the dark? He created everything before he turned the light on??? Surprised
Oh Lord! We couldn't even find this cache in the middle of the day without first pulling out a torch. [B)]
Oh the irony! RazzTwisted

This cache popped up when I was dishing up dinner. I had just arrived home from Tatura after soccer training and saw the notification. It had been 40 minutes and there was no activity, so… I grabbed my keys and ran out the door.
As I was driving I kept refreshing the page. Only 5 minutes into my journey and bugger, locus cache beat me to it!
It’s now nearly midnight and it’s got the better of me. I needed to fill a calendar spot so off I went again.
No head torch but I did have my phone.
The cache was found quickly, log signed then back home to my Pepperjack shiraz.
TFTC I look forward to the next
