Hanging on there nicely. Cache on...

I utilised the Magician app to solve the puzzle, then came in quite unprepared for the retrieval. At first I couldn't find it, getting up above the door. I read Canary's log and realised that I had further to go. It was then that i spotted it, but knew I did not have the power or confidence to get up to it...so I went back to the car to get the PHL-TOTT. I knew it was not a simple "tree fishing" style retrieval, so I improvised in a way that only I can. You see, I do have my own set of caching talents, despite the fact that I rely on a small army APPs to get the caches that are beyond me. TFTC.

The virtual search was again the easy part. Today I did the hard part, alone. I out waited muggles and made the climb for the find. TFTC.

Gigantor #3 defeated today. The walk from the previous Gigantor to this one was super cool through the tunnel. Luckily it was nice and dry so we didn't need gumboots or anything. We spotted a tagged TN on the way. At GZ, the lantana has been pruned up a bit. The climb was really not that bad, but it definitely helped that I had gloves on. However when I was up the top, I was breathing in straight lantana fumes, and I could definitely feel it afterwards. Threw the cache down for someone else to log, and awaited its return into my hands to replace. Nice one! The view poking my head out from the top was quite conspicuous.

Needed insight from my Treasurer to enable the initial search for Gigantor..

3 council workers, 3 cigarettes, and 1 sewage pump dominated the bunker. Had to find another entry point.

Agility, superhuman acrobatics, and good shoes quickly saw CIH.

Found It!
Another Gigantor puzzle that I solved a while back before a visit to the final location today. Someone has pruned most of the prickly bush away leaving just the climb to get to the cache. A climb that was a bit too much for me so I returned to the car and grabbed the ladder. With that, it was an easy find!

Must have accessed this cache from a different route than others did. It was a fun route though and we got to see some cool structures and features of this unique area! No lantana to fight with the way we came, just a nice climb up a manmade structure! Heaps of fun once again and deserving of another FAVOURITE. Oh, cool puzzle too!

Thanks J&G

ZQX introduced me to the Gigantor series. Once I understood the concept, I got on a roll. Haven't seen this method before. Didn't even know the url framework existed. Anyhow, I followed directions and ... sure enough.

GZ was curious. Certainly out of the way. Shady business dealings I reckon. We explored the area and climbed a few things, but a PAF gave us some more focus. Soon we had the secret stash. TFTC J&G

Found with Fox in Jox. Full log to follow.
When this puzzle came out, I had some ideas but they went nowhere. I hadn't seen this trick before. Or should I say, I hadn't noticed this trick before. I asked the brains trust for help, and the answer came back pretty swiftly. So that's what that breadcrumb means!
Today I was out with FIJ. I had suggested an itinerary and FIJ was happy to go with it. Basically it involved a paddle at Berowra Waters and the collection of some recent puzzles. This was one of the puzzles on my list.
At GZ I climbed up a bit, but didn't see anything. We wandered around, checking various possibilities. In the end I asked for help from a previous finder or two, and they came through with the goods. This time FIJ went up, and he climbed higher than I did on my first attempt. He grabbed the cache and I signed the log. Good fun.
Thanks JimmyandGigantor for an interesting puzzle and a challenging hide.

After meeting for breakfast and reminiscing about Japanese hero fantasies of our childhood years, the gang headed out for some aerial finds. We'd lost KtM a couple of suburbs away but when we arrived here, there he was, mischievously swinging through the lantana and throwing anything he could find down at us, including a little tin with a log sheet inside. We got a tranquilizer dart into the chimp and used the TotT we'd brought to carefully return the cache. Thanks JimmyandGigantor.

Planning to track down the various versions of Gigantor with bella at waggy, PPE and Baktrak, but not before a hearty breakfast to kickstart the day. Got up to some shenanigans at Certify, before repositioning ourselves for this one. Squeezed past the narrow entry point and through an unbuilt suburb before finding the cache just out of reach. Luckily we had brought the TOTT with us and soon had our names in the log.

Great puzzle that took quite a bit of tracking down.
After a distinctly unGrumpy breakfast with Baktrak, Crash2079 and bella at waggy (except for the mildly aggressive magpies at the cafe) and some KtM mischief at Certify we headed off for the big robot. With appropriate ToTT in hand the retrieval and logging process was quickly completed. Gets a fave point.

A morning outing with PPE, Baktrak and Crash 2079. We picked the north eastern entry point and snuck up on the bunker. Plenty of signs of searching and then PPE spotted the listening device and made the final ascent. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

The puzzle was solved after it was made quite a bit easier by the owner. At GZ the Conrad was spotted but only the tallest one of us got it. TFTC Good one.

Lantana

Spent way way way too long here

PAF told us we were in amongst the right lantana

Lantana wants to hug me close, needy, too tightly, feel claustrophobic

According to 2 previous finders we were looking in the right place

But no find today

Have to come back again with a TOTT or three, maybe a machete, chainsaw, or aflamethrower.

Wonder if the workers who use the gate to enter the motorway, to access their equipment spotted it

Or lantana blindness

Ah yes, lantana.
My favourite - NOT. Really it is a terrible problem that it has escaped into our bushland.

When Brewmaker contacted me and suggested meeting up for this/these ones this afternoon as I used to live really close and might know the area and tracks, well I was at the far southern end of Sydney.
Managed to get to the meeting place on time.

We walked down to GZ. Very very close to the old house, ended up about 200m away. So yes, I've been here before, many times, even before the M2 was here.
There was no lantana here in those days!

Lucky we had our tall geofriend Martin cousins and his TOTT to reach this one while Brew and I barked out instructions on where to look.
Finally CIH and LS.

I was a massive fan of Gigantor as a kid so when these got published I had to get onto them. I like the idea of finding Gigantor around the world, and after finding and solving the first one, was surprised there were more.

This one took awhile, but in collaboration with the FTFers I had GZ for this one. Unfortunately I couldn't make the hunt last night, but made arrangements to get there today.

With a TOTT courtesy of Martin cousins, we made the grab after enjoying the sweet smell of lantana. GZ location was interesting and we managed to keep our feet dry. TFTC

Now I want to watch GIGANTOR again: Gi - Gant - orrr!!

You mean there's more than two!
Struggled at first but new sources of information helped get a start. Got a haircut on the way. Tried to rescue the smaller big fella but those chains to strong for non robotic folk.

Have been stuck in office for most of the week but this afternoon provided a gap with nothing scheduled. Parked on the north side and checked the other monitor first. On way back through the bunker followed a logical pathway, took a turn and spotted the device, managed to climb without too much damage from the spikey bushes. Signed and returned. Disturbed some duckies on way out.
Thanks J&G.

Straight from Riverwood, such a detour home with my anxious apprentice, with a 5pm appointment at the doctors.
With FTF already gone, arrived and my helper had no interest in helping me look, so stayed in the van.
Met Brewmaker and Jackscruff close to GZ, they asked if I had a certain tool in the van.
Being a tradie, of course.
Loved the lantana, feeling the love from that lantana still, some hours ago.
Nice D/T, thanks for the challenge

Quick find with the 4 of us. I have solved the puzzle this morning, but could not get here until after work.

Met up with a few other FTF Hounds at Gz for a challenging find and re-hide. Not for the faint of heart.

Definitely FP worthy.

[FTF] with Everest High, Its Dozzie & Boogie Rogue @ 8pm.
Fascinating puzzle. Struggled to make headway until the CO rode past. Then had an "I wonder" moment whiles preparing dinner. Tried something that worked and we had step 1. The next step proved difficult. Engaged Everest High as we knew he had been working on the puzzle. He got the next step and then it was a coordinated effort to get to GZ from different parts of Sydney. Nice to get to sign a blank log. Thanks for a cool puzzle JimmyandGigantor.

A nice series of puzzles and equally good hides from JimmyandGigantor. .
When my metro just passed Epping station I got a text message to meet at 19:45 at Epping station. So with 30 minutes, I managed to get to Showground Station, pick up the car and my hiking boots and drive back to Epping.
Together with a group of geo friends it was a [FTF] at a great hiding spot. We even didn't mind the lantana, keen as we were for this FTF.

These new puzzles are a breath of fresh air. And speaking of fresh air, it was fun to go racing out in the evening after dark to meet up with geofriends to find the cache. Joint {FTF} at 8 pm with 4Rods, It's Dozzie and BoogieRogue. Worth an FP. TFTC JimmyandGigantor

Rode through the bunker this morning and the "bug" is still there. Some subtle changes if you know where to look.

Solved it, but it is almost the 'antipodes' in Syd from me, not the 'antipodes' that Japan seems to be from here. Gigantorous distance anyway. Now hen can I drove all that way to find Gigantor and Dr Katzmeow?
