Out and about on a little maintenance run to check on my geocaches. The foliage here has changed quite a bit and for some reason the geocache had gone missing and only the log was present. Thanks to precious finders for noting.New geocache placed in slightly different spot.

I must have swung by here half a dozen times since the cache was first placed, but each time it seemed I was doomed to not search, thanks to high muggle traffic around GZ. (The last time was a few weeks ago, when I drove up and said, "Oh you have to be kidding..." as there was a cherry-picker parked abut 2m from GZ and a bunch of workers...)Today I thought I'd come past with zero expectation, as I'd just picked up a puzzle cache in the broader area and so wasn't too fussed either way. Not caring seemed to do the trick (of course... ) as GZ was clear and I didn't see another human the whole time I was here today.Located the hide in seconds and signed the log - as the previous finder has noted, there's no container here, just a ziplock bag with log and a couple of swaps, so I won't log a duplicate maintenance check.Signed the log, thanks for the cache, Kristysadventures.
We came to this area because we saw a fabulous segment on gardening Australia about the reflection garden nearby. We started at Glen Huntly and then decided to walk to Ormond, picking up a cache on the way. Both caches at Ormond and McKinnon were dnf so we were a little disappointed. But we didn't give up and found our 200th find here at bentleigh. Tftf
CO ATTENTION REQUIREDthere is no container of trackable. There is only a zip lock bag!
I went on a small adventure with one half of Earthbound Chief today again. Since we were in the area, we dropped by and helped Kristyadventures out placing a replacement cache here.Thank you for the cache here Kristyadventures
New cache in play. Thanks to the amazing OSHFAM!! Ready to be found for side tracked week.
Cache is missing. Ill review and replace soon.Thank you to the previous Cacher and OHFAM for reporting,
I found a damp log inside a plastic bag only. No proper cache.Day 2 of my search for LGA caches. This is one that I found and signed. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches that add to our game. TNLN SL
Lets seeWas this one worth roaming around in some bushes as people looked on to see me popping in and out like a meerkat, only for me to realise that I was in the wrong set of bushes and then end up doing that again, just to sign TipTop05 in a paper book in a wet container to add one to a tally of 139 and write a 4 letter acronym on a virtual notepad?Yes yes it wasTFTC
Made it more of a challenge by searching for it at night, but eventually found the cache... yet lost my pen in the process. Thank you for the hide!
Sorry- I found this a while ago but forgot to log the cache. Had to use a hint to find it and took surprisingly long to find. Thanks!
Back again to search for this cache.. no luck before but plenty of luck today. Followed the hint for a quick find. Thanks Kristysadventures for placing and updating the location of the cache.
Another day, another cache. Got to love a day off, attending some events for my other hobby, I quickly managed to pick this one up before spending the rest of the day playing cards at a store down the road. With a quick look around the cache was found with no trouble and signed. It is interesting to see this area for me slowly starting to thin out as it has become the focus area of my streak, Ah well. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure!
Find number 12839 at 12:09:16pm on Monday the 22 January 2024Out for a journey today chasing SideTracked geocaches over towards the bay, the Monty was my starting point.Last time I was here it was raining and cold and I looked and gave up quickly as I was getting soaked.Today was much nicer but it still took me a little longer than it should have to find a not too difficult hide. Must have been looking with girls eyes **Thanks for placing this cache Kristysadventures**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. A list of the geocaches can be found [here](https://coord.info/BM9GWJ5). The final GeoTour Event is the [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) on the 18th February 2024!You can also get prepared for the 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards by checking out our preliminary lists [here](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/).
Easy to find while walking past. Nice cache. It says theres a travel bug in the cache but bug isnt there. TFTC!
Find 3215Another easy park close to GZ.Went straight to this one and found the nice sized cache.Log signed and all back safe again. Thanks for your caches
Wow the Council were heavy handed in their pruning and removed the shrubs, undergrowth and palm tree base hiding this cache. The cache has been moved 1m south in the nearby shrubs.
**06/01/2024, 07:29:00****Find #5638****Traditional Find #3366**I headed up to this part of Melbourne, a part I seldom go to, for an event and to find a few caches. I made a point of getting an early start so as to beat the muggles that this weather would bring out. With my main target of the morning now found and with plenty of time to kill, I headed here to search for another member of the sidetracked series. My phone took me straight to an object that matched the hint perfectly, but there was no cache. I increased my search radius and found the cache, more or less out in the open near another object of the same type about 6m south of GZ. I signed the log and then placed the cache about another metre further south under a leafy shrub to hide it better. I met the CO at the event and informed her of the situation. **Thank-you to Kristysadventures for placing this geocache**
I didnt find the cache but I did find an iPhone.. I only had it in my hand for a minute before I got a spam call, thanks fully the owner called shortly after and I was able to return it. I did put in a solid search but after reading a recent log when I got home I realised I was probably in the wrong place. I will be back again when the weather is cooler. Thanks Kristyadventures for placing the cache
*Found on the 16 Dec 2023 @ 3:32pm.**Cache find # 15417.*Today is the last day on the calendar that I don't have 10 or more finds so I headed out to find a few more. There are a few in a row along this section of train line that I had not yet found, so it was a good place to start, this was the first one and after a quick look, I then needed a better look before the cache was found.**Thanks to Kristysadventures for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
TFTC, had us for a minute a tiny bit beyond the tree base.Use the geosenses! We were not planning to be caching in this area, but you know how it goes!? The lure of a FTF took us more than 12 km out of our way, so why not take out a few quick finds while in the neighborhood, before getting back our original business TFTC
I don't think theirs anything hear searched around all tree bases and double checked
Thanks Kirsty, found with junior cachers Rara,Syd & Flash. Such a great day for a holiday activity with The Munchkins
In the area for work and while looking for geocaches that I would collect a few on my way thru. This wasn't on my list, but since I was passing it, I had to stop. Probably shouldn't have as this back road seemed to be very busy not just with cars, but also people walking past.Eventually I stopped waiting with my GPSr to settle and just jumped in the bushes. Took a little while but found it in the end. Didn't take the TB.Thanks for the cache Kristys AdventuresHunter
Apologies for the late log. Still trying to catch up. I think it may have been my third visit here, but didn't actually do a decent search here the second time. I did briefly look around this tree for sure during the first visit, I think when the coordinates were not quite accurate or had me on the pathway on the other side of the road. I suppose the cache just eluded me that time and slipped through my line of sight. Or I was too quick in my search and didn't want to be behind a tree for long. It can happen. This time around, a muggle happened to be parked where I thought I may be watched if I went in to look, so I went off to another cache and returned to find him gone. The cache was found in one of the few places I looked, although not where I was expecting it. A nice choice of container also. And thanks for the coordinate update. Thanks to Kristysadventures for the placement.
Came out today to do a few caches - it was still quite busy around here even though it was a weekday. Found it and dropped a traveller. TFTC.
With a friend’s birthday function at the nearby Sonder Bar, I could resist collecting a SideTracked while walking to the bar.

We went searching for caches with kangas11 and found your cache and signed the log Kristysadventures, thank you so much for placing it.
Thanks to Kristysadventures for this hide. We haven't done many zide Tracked caches so it is good to find this one.
After a long hiatus ASP84 and I were back out enjoying a caching day together. Great to tick off some of this series. Thank you
It was finally time to get back out there with LouJean70 and have a good old fashioned caching day.
This one kicked off our day. Loving ticking off the SideTracked Series.

*SideTracked #7*
We had headed up to Bentleigh to meet up with family at a fantastic yum cha restaurant near-by, and despite being stuffed to the gills, I managed to talk the Cache Whisperer into finding this one post-lunch. I was approaching food coma status, so CW grabbed the cache, brought it back to the car where I completed signing duties. I also spied the shiny geo-coin you got in London, so I’m happy to move that one along real soon.
Thanks for adding to the ever-growing SideTracked series for our enjoyment Kristy.

**The Cache:** Found with Caches_High. Signed log as Let Them Eat Cache or LTEC as space would allow. Replaced as found and good to go for the next geocacher.

Found with icw. No trains were running today to allow major works on the railway line. After years of neglect the train network is being updated. Level crossings are being removed and antiquated stations replaced. Tftc.

Out SideTracking today locally to add a few more to the small number already done. This was a nice and easy find.
My thanks again to Kristysadventures for the cache.
My thanks again to Kristysadventures for the cache.
A very late DNF log from back in May when I actually visited twice, so must have been before coordinates were updated. GPS had me on the footpath on the other side of the road. I searched at the base of a few trees along the rail side fence but had no luck.
Coords were not accurate for us so we searched for a while before narrowing in on one spot. Once we did, we made a quick find. Cheers Kristysadventures!!
As I started nearing my 2000th find milestone I started scouting out possible caches to make my milestone cache. I ended up finding [george71's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=4c74bffd-a0bc-460d-b394-feeca540304c&wid=1e0a1dc0-e499-45da-856f-163624fb305e&ds=2) [Victoria’s 1st (Melbourne's 1st) (GC7A)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7A) for my 1000th find and ever since then I wanted to make my 2000th just as special.
My original plan was to make the 2023 Victorian Mega, [The Rutherglen Event (GC9MH9M)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9MH9M_the-rutherglen-event) my 2000th find, but with the geomobile having to be archived a month earlier, I just wasn't going to make it.
So I continued to search until I saw [day1976's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=bec5dbba-1370-4e0c-a877-aeb37a5e464a&wid=0ab2c16a-0219-4621-bd23-1240c38ecd73&ds=2) [A Milestone Virtual (GC9P6GZ)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9P6GZ_a-milestone-virtual). Well that one only seemed fitting. So now I just had to get to 1999 finds.
Well with finding this cache I was finally up to 1999 finds. I stopped by here after work before I headed into the city to go log [day1976's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=bec5dbba-1370-4e0c-a877-aeb37a5e464a&wid=0ab2c16a-0219-4621-bd23-1240c38ecd73&ds=2) [A Milestone Virtual (GC9P6GZ)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9P6GZ_a-milestone-virtual).
When I arrived at GZ my phone originally had me on the wrong side of the street. I had a quick look around and couldn't find anything.
*Wow [Kristysadventures](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=2025b6ac-6591-4990-a921-bd242af298ea&wid=6ff934b1-7571-43dc-a6d3-a7ce2489fcc4&ds=2) really out did herself with blending this one into the environment, a true hidden in plain sight, I thought...*
That of course was when I checked and saw that this cache was a Regular!
*A Regular, hidden here?! No Way*
So I resorted to checking the hint and that is when I looked up and saw the matching beacon...
*Ah silly phone, you had me on the wrong side!*
So I crossed over to the correct side of the street, and after waiting a minute for a muggle to pass by, I made a quick search and then was able to locate the cache without any issues.
*Woohoo! Number 1999, now on to 2000!*
A big thanks to [Kristysadventures](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=2025b6ac-6591-4990-a921-bd242af298ea&wid=6ff934b1-7571-43dc-a6d3-a7ce2489fcc4&ds=2) for the pre-milestone cache and for the fun today. TFTC.

Unfortunately not to many caches due to the rain but still enjoyed the one's we did.
Cheers for the cache.

Out caching in the Bentleigh area with xambo4u. We searched for this one, then widened our search area still to no avail. We the read the hint which set us on a different tack, and made the find. Thanks Kristysadventures.
Out and about with a echidna44 for a long awaited cacheing day. Ticking of a few with more of the sidetracks series. This one we needed to widen our search a lot but lucky enough the echindna44 referred to the hint. Thanks for the cache Kristyadventures. Left TB

Thanks for the cache! Took a bit to find and expanded my search, but came back and found it looking from another angle.
I found this cache today on my Caulfield and Beyond Rail Ride. Still heading alongside the Frankston line another station that I have not cached right next to to this station before, but I have done 3 others with in a street each way. Thanks from D B-A
Another stop while on our way to pick are grandkids up from school. The container was located fairly quickly. Thanks to Kristyadventures for the cache.

Final of the day and a nice simple find to round out a full afternoon of strolling around the local area.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.

I had spent a few hours in *Bayside* today finding caches for a LGA challenge that I am working on... with a focus on caches with high Favourite Point counts for another challenge that I am working on (yeah, I am a bit hooked on challenges!).
It was time to head north... but I had just enough time to check lout this cache. I love how *SideTracked* caches have taken off in Melbourne over the past 12 months... and are slowing doing my best to find them all.
Thanks **Kristysadventures** for this cache.

After celebrating n0w0rries and +wife’s cacheversary, I set off to find some nearby caches. This new trail of SideTracked caches was on my list.
My coordinates today found me in the middle of a 2 car private carpark on the side of the road. This didn’t seem right so I checked the hint and sure enough that object was not here! Across the road I went to make a quick find. My GPS had me 12m E of the posted on the visit today.
Thanks Kristysadventures for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Came along with goingplaces2 to gather some more sidetracked caches for the collection. We had a good day, though wet, with both names being added to each log found. All was good here. TFTC.
Today we decided to get sidetracked with ilook4geo and concentrate on some of the many sidetracked caches available on the eastern side of the city and further out. It rained of course, but that did not hinder our plan too much. The numbers were easy to find at GZ and the new numbers worked out well, so this was a nice quick and easy find and the log soon had two more names added to it. Thanks go to Kristysadventures for adding to the sidetracked series by placing this cache.
Went to find this yesterday but there were workmen a few meters away. I was in the area again, and had better luck. Agree with others that the coordinates are out, so go with the hint and senses. TFTC

Was shopping in Bentleigh and remembered this traditional cache was close by.
This is the last of the local Sidetracked caches by Kristyadventures to find. Thanks for the series,KA. Like others and also when I placed a cache near the railway line, the GPS plays up and I was on the other side of the road for GZ.
Reorienting from that side , and with the hint I soon had my hands on the cache. ( might be a problem when the gardeners come along sometime )
So signed sealed and re hidden.
With this one I earned the 500 points to free Signal the frog escape the Labyrinth and earn the souvenir. I think that series is now over.

My quickest find of the new sidetracked caches! Thanks for the hint, it made things easier. And TFTC!
Found it. Nice hide, co-ordinates a little out. Tricky with muggles, plenty around today!
Unlike some other finders I was at GZ well after dark. There were still some muggles but clearly not the number that seem to flow along this path during the day, particularly the weekend. I read gmj3191's log and confirmed where I ought to be looking. Unfortunately I missed it on the first pass and therefore proceeded to widen the search area disturbing more bushes.
Finally, after a much wider search I came back around to the initial spot and spotted the cache. I'd be a little concerned if I couldn't find a regular size container in some bushes.
The CO might like to either change containers or add a waterproof bag. If left as is I'd imagine the logbook would turn mouldy.

Hi Kristysadventures,
I found your cache GCA58MR SideTracked - McKinnon today, Monday the 20 Mar 2023 at 5:00pm.
It was cache find number 7,736 for me.
I'm out on the hunt as it's PamJ's sewing group day at our house today.
This one was found fairly easily after I looked at the hint.
The coordinates had me initially 12m away on the other side of the street. Google thinks it's there too.
Thanks Kristysadventures, for giving back to the game.

I arrived here and waiting a couple of minutes for a garbage truck at GZ to finish his phone call and then a nice easy find was made.

I was dropped off at a station up the Sandy line after a trip to Ballarat, and had plenty of time before I was expected at home, so this was the perfect opportunity to get, well, sidetracked.
So down to Sandringham, a bus to the Frankston line and off to look for this newly published addition to the SideTracked series.
The coordinates were a tad misleading, but the hint made this, my 59th SideTracked find fairly easy as the sun set.
T unactivated trackable.
Thanks, Kristysadventures.

I love side-track caches because they are always close to stations. Lots of nice food to eat for lunch around here as well. Bonus.
