Cracking look out spot. Well worth stopping to check out. Ever better that there was a cache track down. TFTC
Stopped by here to check the logsheet and discovered that the entire cache container had "bolted". As I don't have another identical one, I've had to replace with another type of container. It will be familiar to some cachers; others may find it hard to identify. Bring a pen, as there is no room for one in the container. Hope this one lasts longer than the last.
After spending a couple of nights in the Glenorchy area I stopped at this spot specifically to go after this cache. We had enjoyed the view at the lookout last year and I wasnt planning on going up there again today. However it was such a nice day I would have been foolish not to! Really is a great view! Back at the cache site I made hard work of finding it. Really didnt want it to be a DNF. It had to be there somewhere, and then I spotted it! In reality it could have been a quick find. Well disguised! Worth a favourite. #7348. TFTC.

4Clubs and I spent the afternoon in and around Glenorchy mainly checking on my caches in the area. This was the first time to visit the new lookout for 4Clubs and she enjoyed reading the information panel as she well remembers the road being built to Glenorchy. In fact we had just come from a visit to see Geoff Thomson who is the son of Tommy Thomson who was the driving force behind the road being built. A quick find for us and then a short walk to the lookout. TFTC
these are the kind of creative finds we enjoy the most. Such a cool cache. Thank you. Would never get sick of the views from the top!
Trouve Easy find for me, first one for my friend. On an adventure to glenorchy today, leaving queenstown with a cloudy sky

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we took the bus from Cromewell to Queenstown. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndyThis log entry is translated with the help of Google.
Together with 37 Cachers, we start a journey to Australia and New Zealand via Doha.In Qatar we spent one night and had almost one full day before heading to Sydney. In Australia we visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Cairns. In New Zealand will be Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. To safe Logbook space, we signed the logbooks with our team-name "DownUnder24".Our Teammembers are:\_gc_, AmoebeST, AndyausDu, B@cker-1, Biggidag, Brummelbren, CacheTaucher, cooljo, Fotopinguin, Freizeit-Tina, Gazelle5111, GEO Karen, GoanToni, Hfi1, hupsi-1, karrai*, Leilah03, lenny love, Lupus54, Maxipimpf, muschel3, Ollilein, Opaundenkel, penalty96, Rheins, Simowl, sozioma, Sr. Elli, Team Zyanor, viko76, Webmasterrollerin, Whlhase, XenSuoThank you for the Cache.
Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

New Zealand ????, two goals for me so far unattainable that I can now remove from my spoon list thanks to the best hobby in the world.Where can you find 37 enthusiastic travel participants with the same interest?Exactly, at Cacher-Reisen??.And so we are here and explore the cities, landscapes and beautiful nature. As a group, we register in the logbooks with Downunder2024 to save space or not to blow up the email account. Many different cache types are on our list, the old cans from 2000/2001 to fill the Jasmer or even to close the last gaps. Here, a great variety is offered in both.T4t$ says viko76 from Berlin/ Germany

Seventh day in New Zealand ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary country and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. After a stopover in Qatar and 8 days in Australia, our journey continued from Auckland to Queenstown with various stopovers.**This morning we set off on our last stage, from Cromwell to Queenstown. After checking into our room, we set off for Glenorchy and Paradise. I really wanted to see the filming location for "The Lord of the Rings". An absolute must as a fan ??. It's also nice to see a bit of nature and not just cities on our trip. That's what New Zealand is all about and I come from a big city, I get enough of that every day. We were all allowed to get out at the viewpoint to take photos and enjoy the view over the lake. At other caches, the bus driver kindly stopped briefly at the hiding places, but not all cachers were allowed to leave the bus to search, only two at a time to save time. That's why the logbook was only labeled with our team abbreviation DownUnder24 and to save space in the booklets.**The following Geocachers are members of Team DownUnder24:_gc_AmoebeSTAndyausDuB@cker-1BiggidagBrummelbrenCacheTauchercooljoFotopinguinFreizeit-TinaGazelle5111GEO KarenGoanToniHfi1hupsi-1karrai *Leilah03lenny loveLupus54Maxipimpfmuschel3OllileinOpaundenkelpenalty96RheinsSimowlsoziomaSr. ElliTeam Zyanorviko76WebmasterrollerinWhlhaseXenSuoThanks for laying & taking care ??.Siebter Tag in Neuseeland ??.
# 21559Whau, I am on a three week trip with Cacher-Reisen and a bunch of fellow geocachers to Australia and New Zealand. It is so odd to imagine that I am going to visit a place that is nearly on the opposite of the globe from my usual hangouts. In Denmark it is late winter/early spring, and I am exchanging the winter-part for late summer in Australia and early autumn in New Zealand. This is so exciting. The itinerary is Frankfurt (Germany), Doha (Qatar), Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns (Australia) and Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin, Cromwell, Queenstown (New Zealand) before flying back to Europe. That will be two new continents and three new countries for me - and as far away from home as I have ever been. It is a lot of places and travelling, but we also have a plan to find lots of geocaches and see the sights and beautiful nature.Today we left Cromwell and drove to our last destination in New Zealand. However we have two nights in the area and a packed program with smaller trips to Glenorchy and Milford Sound. Two fantastic trips to end our long geotour to Australia and New Zealand. I have enjoyed the trip downunder, but I am also happy to be going home soon. The Fellowship of the Ring was our guide in Glenorchy and we had a fantastic day with fun and laughter. I could not recognize any of the threes from the film or the mountains, but when our tourguides found their props in the back of the car, everything turned into a movieset. Thanks for a fun day.We arrived at the hotel, and then we sat down to wait for our adventure guides. they didn't know about geocaching, but that only lasted a few minutes until they were hooked. Here at the bluff they hadn't caught the bug yet, but we were all allowed some time to enjoy the bluff - and we used the time to find the cache as well.Tak for cachen til MacBayMeri.
A group of 38 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland - Team Downunder24 - are traveling for 22 days from Frankfurt/Main via Doha to Australia and New Zealand. I was able to discover many wonderful things and irretrievable experiences are burned into my memory. Today we took the bus to Glenorchy, a small town on Lake Wakatipu, where we were able to see the scenery from various film sets such as Lord of the Rings. We were lucky with the weather and not only had great views, but also the opportunity to look for and find the other cache. This one was there too. Thanks to MacBayMeri for the cache, luring and caring for it - kind regards from Switzerland

A quick find in a lovely location. Definitely worth the walk to the top four the view. I put back a best I could but being that I am not seven feet tall I needed a stick for the return
Stopped here on the way to Glenorchy. The views with the reflection off the water were great. Thanks!
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.On the onward journey to Glenorchy, we stopped here briefly and climbed up to the viewpoint. However, the sand flies soon drove us away. We quickly signed the guest book and continued on to the campsite.Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from Switzerland????PS: Translated with the Deepl app??
