Found by Mary and David with the VIC1 group. Today we started with the Bon Accord track caches and several others around Harrietville. After lunch at the pub, we headed out of town to tyackle the F.L.A.K.E. cache, which we completed. We found few Trads and multis along the way, and finished the day with an Event at the Bright pub. Our thanks to Ronice88.
Ditched the car in favor of bicycles from now on. Had a very pleasant ride along the path grabbing these caches along the way. Thanks Ronice88
Chewinprickles, BettyBoo3747 and I decided upon today to try some of the F.L.A.K.E. puzzlesSo we loaded up the deadly treadlies and set off for Harrietville. We had solved them all when they first came out, but had not got around to look for them. We had to look at the puzzles again as so many of the hides were well themed.Nice puzzles and great hides for this series. Not much breeze for the ride today, a great day to be out.BB was watching Chewin and I looking for the cache, but she was standing right next to it!A bit easier to see from a bit of a distance. Thanks, Robmc.
# 21646. The puzzle solver Robmc has had these done for a long time now. While the weather is still pleasant and with all the autumn colour in full force we decided to team up with Chewinprickles and have a nice ride and some harder walking to knock over this series.Another one that took a while to spy but finally got there. Thanks Ronice88
After a lovely relaxing lunch by the river and a change of clothes as it was warming up, we set off for an arvo of caching admiring the beautiful surrounds at different points along the way. This was the next for the arvo and we looked and we looked and we looked. We read past logs, we looked at the hint and we looked some more. At this point we decided to ring the CO as we were getting no-where. No answer so I was just starting to leave a message when GMelb found the cache lol We were pretty happy it had taken until cache no 32 for the day to need to ring lol and in the end we didnt anyway lol Sneaky hide! After a couple of days walking out and staying overnight at federation Hut , Mt Feathertop with Purplepeopleater. We had a go at doing caches around Harrietville and surrounding areas. With Puzzles solved and traditional cached to get, it made for a busy day of easy and not so easy terrain ratings. I will be back another day to finish off some of the ones we missed. TFTCMCheers dkmacca
Down in the Victorian Highlands for a couple of days hiking and geocaching with DKMakka. Perfect weather and a welcome relief from the Sydney humidity.Solved the Flake Series in anticipation of our trip, and enjoyed the well themed and innovative puzzles. A lot of work has gone into the caches themselves and it was great to discover some monster size caches mixed into. An excellent series and loads of fun (and effort) Thanks Ronnice88, I will be back hopefully sooner than later to this wonderful area.SL TFTC
Found at 9:50 AM GAFF1.The sound of the nearby Ovens River is getting louder!Wee are impressed at the variety of puzzles presented to us by the CO - excellent work! But how about no more micros Thanks to Ronice88
I was out with kbucky today to collect the majority of the SNOMO series. It was a beautiful day to be walking along the Bon Accord track. The numerous bird calls really added to the magical atmosphere of this lovely setting. We had a very busy day, walking over 13km's and then a quick bike ride along the Great Alpine road to collect some of the F.L.A.K.E series. It was a coincidence that I met a local woman hiking on the Bon Accord track and then I met her again, and her husband, on the bike trail as they were also riding. We were surprised to cross paths twice in the same day. This puzzle took some solving, but once we found the correct site, we soon got the tick of approval from the checker. I thought this puzzle was really clever and definitely deserves a favourite point The find was much easier than the solve
Our destiny today was magical, a little chaotic however mother nature was very kind to us. Very little wind, superb weather. Had a fabulous day with weirdobiker on our almost triathlon day - we hiked, we rode, we almost swam on our journey around the Harrietville area. What a fabulously large and amazing kaleidoscopic experience! Only one Angksty episode. Our journey was grande, wide ranging, definitely large for lots! (maybe not for this one)Loved that many caches had substantial SWAG (kids would love!) Ronice, your commitment to make geocaching a positive experience for so many is exemplary - love your many creative puzzles that send my brain into a kaleidoscopic meltdown but teach me so much about nature and your actual caches are worthy of the effort to solve. Also love that you placed caches for many different caching abilities to achieve.many regardskbucky
FTF. Found on a trip to Harrietville. I have been frantically solving puzzles for this trip. Only had a few days so didn't manage to get them all solved yet. Then someone else did a quick trip and grabbed lots of the FTFs, luckily there were a few left and I had managed to solve some of them so still had the chance to get a few. This was the first today. Stopped the car a little distance away and went for a walk to stretch my legs after the long drive. Spotted the cache quickly and signed the nice blank log. TFTC and the interesting puzzle.
