Wow wee. Took a few goes to find this one. Good thing I needed something inside the shop. Nearly gave up on this one. Definitely walked past it half a dozen times trying to look inconspicuous. Cannot unsee it now.

Log was signed, cache carefully replaced and we were on our way again. So quiet out here today. Thanks for another one baritayan....fav point for the cool hide.

#19478 - 1:32:00 PM; Met up with my old partner in crime Sol de lune at Geobash Central this morning for a day of meeting, greeting and caching. After registering for the Mega, completing some adventure labs, swapping some pathtags and geobanter with other cachers, we set off towards the city and on to Fyshwick to refuel the geomobile and collect some newer caches along the way. All caches were found in good order and returned as found once signed. Checked a couple of options before I looked to the skies and spotted something worthy of further investigation here, which just happened to be the cache! TFTC baristayan Smile

Another day spent Pre-Mega geocaching. Today we are chasing caches along Sutton Road north of the town and across to Murrumbateman and down. Log sheets as "5 for QLD" to save space and time. I really had to control the non-stealth urge!Log signed and cache replaced as found on March 25, 2024. TFTC, baristayan

25-Mar-24
A lovely day out and about with geofriends and picking up a few caches before and after events today. To save space on log sheets, we signed as 6 for QLD, then 7 for QLD as a new team member arrived.Of course, we had to go inside as we needed to stock up on write-in rain paper for replacing full logs. Thanks, baristayan, for the good neat hide here.

I needed another cache for the streak today but was more concerned with locating some supplies for future hides! That brought me to Fyshwick: The Industrialist's Middle Of Nowhere where all of those supplies appeared to be located reasonably close-ish together!Seeing as though I had to enter this building as part of my plans anyway, I thought this cache would be the one to tick off today! There weren't too many passing muggles today - certainly not as many as I'd anticipated - which meant that the obvious spots were subjected to thorough scrutiny. No luck there though, so I decided to head inside and ponder it some more - thinking to myself "I really must check [that spot] when I come back out".Of course, I proceeded to purchase my eclectic assortment of things, come back out, and immediately not check [that spot] for all of about five further minutes.Once I bothered to remember though, something awfully suspicious stuck out to me and I wondered how I hadn't seen it prior!Extraction proved more difficult than I'd envisioned, although one of my new purchases ended up being what I needed to access the logbook (which totally justifies the cost in my eyes!)Luckily, I'd brought my pen with me which saved me from having to race back in and buy another one (though, with all the pretty colours on offer, I did have to control my urges to not bring the cache inside and write my name in every pen available!)Thanks for this creative hide, baristayan! Smile

With some time to kill while Dino was in town I decided the head the Fyshwick way for some caches that needed my attention. Nicely done on a hide and container for it! This was perpelexing at first but fun. Not too much of a rush here this evening so searching was not too bad and no one came past. A very fun hide well done a FAVpoint for the great idea. Thank you baristayan for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

I have had a very quick look for this one a couple off times before, but am always in a hurry. Today I had some time and saw it straight away. Thanks baristayan

I was headed to a nearby cache 'Need more coffee?' to try to right a DNF. Walking along in dreamland, and then I realised I had passed the turnoff to 'Need more coffee?' and was now closer to this cache, but no problem; I kept walking to this instead. The other cache can be for another walk another day.Well named this cache being where it is. Very hard to "control your urges" once entering the wonderland. So I didn't . Lolly shops, jewellery shops have little attraction for me and I hardly notice them in passing, but this place, I'm 'gone' as soon as I enter. Wonderland! The office desk I am sitting at with my laptop to write this I bought there, and looking around, several other things.Full car park; very busy here today, with people coming and going. It did take me a few minutes to spot the cache. Coordinates are fine. Cache and log are good. Then the walk home. TFTC baristayan.

Out with Tankengine and Dty73 just roaming around the Fyshwick area. My pals had found this before making it an easy find for me.... kutgw

19-Nov-23
Put with Youban and Tankengine on a warm morning, hoping for a quieter day on Fyshwick. Not too busy here, easy enough to see as we came close to the accurate coords. Quick grab and sign and replace. Nifty little hide. I like it.

33,741. Found with minniek during a domestics run in Canberra today. We were in town today doing some chores around this area, so we thought we'd grab a couple of caches while we were here. We did indeed spot this as we were approaching, and being pretty quiet today it was a quick grab. Signed the log, replaced the cache exactly as found, then - resisting the urge - went back to the car. Phew - escaped without spending any money....Thanks baristayan !! Fav Point !

I couldn't control my urges, so bought some logbooks while I was here. Found the cache afterwards, nicely done. TFTC baristayan!

After some lunch we (Captain Tomato, Chewinprickles and I), dropped into this cache.
We had looked unsuccessfully last night, so a daytime check was in order.
A few more muggles around, but the cache was found quite quickly. How did we miss that?
Thanks, Robmc.

Thursday has rolled around again, and I had a fun get together in civic with colleagues. As they all have commitments, I took myself off to find a cache and get some supplies. I had looked at this one online and thought I would give it a go, and knowing the goal of the CO, I was looking for something a little special. I spent way too long at the wrong level and even then being further away or not did not seem to make a difference. Eventually with another cache in mind I worked my way to another area, and eventually found this very well hidden cache and was able to eventually sign my name.

Thanks for the cache baristayan

I was running errands and had a choice to make. Do I pick up some needed stationary or find a cache. Then I saw this listing! It took a while to spot and an ad-hoc TOTT was needed but soon enough the log was signed. TFTH

22-Jul-23
Wow this one was cool. Hidden in plain sight!

Had a preliminary look yesterday but the number of muggles persuaded me to move on. Back today armed with a helpful nudge from a passing cacher and was soon able to sign the log undisturbed. TFTC baristayan

#4323 Green-martian and I parked as close as we could to GZ. There wasn't much to see. Looking around, found nothing, until GM saw the thing lets say in plain sight. Right, that's it. Replaced as found.

20-Jun-23
Extremely clever cache, very tricky even though you can see it inside your parked car. And during the day muggles pass within a whisker of it. Tftc

14-Jun-23
Difficulty rate slightly increased.
To me is still a simple park and grab, but i want to honour those who spend more than 5 minutes searching. Happy caching!

28-May-23
Great hide. Had me guessing and looking for quite some time! Higher D rating deserved for this one, I reckon. Thanks again, baristayan!

23-May-23
We stood back, and we looked. We also went closer and we looked.
We searched so many places and then went home instead with a new ergonomic chair, computer desk, 2 laptops and 25 bags of jelly snakes ( good rewards for geocaching finds).
Back today and acquired a new phone, 5 pens and 20 plastic folders…ooh, and our name in the log.
“ Control Your Urges”!?
Thanks baristayan. Sneaky!
Domsky
PS we are heading back tomorrow for some gel pens.

21-May-23
It's dark and probably the busiest place in Canberra. I did a lot of "texting" on my phone between feeling for caches, but didn't come up with the prize.

Will have to come back another time.

21-May-23
Ha, after acquiring some more information about this I went back.

I had to wait for the last employee leaving and sitting in his car for aaaaages - with full view of the cache area - before being able to resume my search.

All I can say is "But I looked there".... ... and I also walked past it about 6 times.

Sneaky hide.

As the store was now closed it was rather easy to control my urges. .... I did have a look at computer screens earlier though....

#3839 Meeting up with DeadThief once again for a Friday post tech jaunt and this landed on the radar today. Moved in on GZ and scanned the general area for some options. Soon enough something unusual caught my eye and we soon had our names on the log. Thanks baristayan for the cache. Wouldn’t you know it! Ran out of printer paper the very next day.

The title of this cache and part of Canberra it is hidden in seems like a little hidden message and a bit of a laugh. Even a few things in the description made me laugh with this thinking. But I honestly can't tell if that was on purpose or not Razz

Either way, this was a very strange find! Definitely not a D1.5, I would say it is a 2.5 or 3! Myself and DSD struggled to find this cache for quite sometime. The coordinates are actually pretty good, but we felt like we had exhausted our options. We had to get a point in the right direction from a friend in the end, and was surprised when we finally found it!

Quite a sneaky and different little hide!
Thanks

A tricky find (well, for me most urban ones are) spotted by my caching buddies.

Thanks, baristayan.

18-Apr-23
Well, after my previous DNF, the CO reached out to me with a little further advice - and as I was still in the area, I returned for a second go.

Trying to follow the hint provided, I noticed something that ... didn't really look like a cache ... but ... I didn't have any other ideas ... so I checked it out ... and lo and behold, made the find! Smile

Fave point for the very clever hide and the helpful message!

Found after a lovely country drive around Carwoola getting roadside caches. I was still at the Rutherglen mega when this was published otherwise I would've tried for another baristayan FTF chance! Took a few minutes to find this one, needed a PAF. Hope this one lasts, it is indeed the biggest container of all time. I come here often to scan documents and laminate caching related things, I'll make sure to check on this cache whenever I come. TFTC baristayan!

Up nice and early on a Saturday morning and headed to Office Works with the CO. She went inside and I was left to go searching at ground zero.

I observed the clue and took myself across the road for a look from afar. Just as I was loitering on the road, a familiar face drove past and pulled up to say gday (no doubt wondering what the hell I was doing ). We talked local rugby league for a few mins before he took off and I resumed the search.

Yani came out of the store and said ‘I can see it from here!’ Soon after my eyes clapped onto something and I ventured forth to sign the log. Think I agree with a previous log…this might just be the largest container in the world!

Great hide ️
