Hey mate, sorry I didn't / couldn't replace the cache on the spot, I had the wrong backpack with me that day. (I have noted your comment in the FB forums, I'll be more prepared, just in case, next time.) But anyway, thanks for the exercise all over the Bullen range for your caches - everywhere! Lovely location.
A lovely 18C still overcast day, perfect for wandering around the bush and fire trails for the day. Cache found, but it is not OK. The recent burnoff here has melted the cache container with the log book inside. See photos on Needs Maintenance log.
Cache has been melted into a plastic blob due to the recent burnoffs here. Cache container needs to be replaced. See attached photos.
Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time, and space in the logbooks, or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN!
Found this during a fantastic weekend away at the Canberra Mega, with gridge98, Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite. The log books were either signed with the name ABP or our individual caching names. Was an excellent Mega, grateful to be part of it!
Found on our journey over the week here. This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Courtneyrose_ Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite as part of our team called: ABP (Alphabet People), the log books were either signed with the name, ABP or our individual caching names.A great weekend away in the capital and a very well organised mega, it was nice to be back in the ACT caching once again over easter with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team waldron, courtney rose, davidwazza, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found on a visit from Adelaide to attend the Capital GeoBash Mega event in Canberra over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache.

A great multi that I was able to complete with friends. Container replaced due to recent back burning activities. Fav point! TftcGeorode
St Stephen's missing crypt4.5/3.5 Small Multi-cache Replaced. FPThank you for the cache DARKSIDEDAN.31 March 2024 10:55am
This cache has taken us on a long and circuitous journey. We began the multi in the middle of last year and today we have finally signed the log. Without mentioning names, there was one particular trig station that we thought we would never have to visit again. Turns out we were wrong. As always, the views from the particular trig station in question were worth the effort and we stopped there for awhile to catch our breath. It was then downhill for us, with just a small and sharp uphill to GZ. Lovely to find the Hide and to know that our numbers were all correct. A FP added. Thanks DSDDomsky
This was definitely the hardest cache of the early morning. I actually nearly broke a sweat and l got annoyed by some undergrowth. But in the end, the log was signed. Thank you for another fun cache DSD This one has had some maintenance applied. Now back to the proper gate for part two of our morning.
Of the caches this morning this one we agreed was the mostest! A bit of bashing required and it was rewarding to find the hide. Thanks DSD. I think!!
This was my main objective today - to avenge the DNF from a few months ago.
On my initial attempt, I got to WP2 with no problems - but then somehow made a very silly error by mistranscribing two numbers. The original co-ordinates I calculated would have made an excellent GZ, but, alas, were about 2km away from the actual location.
After getting a nudge from the CO and a previous finder, I ended up at GZ and made the find with no problems. Woohoo! This is another spot in my DT matrix filled
TFTC! Fave point from me for the adventure and the challenge.

Found with BR7
Immense day with 30+ caches being collected
Probably a record for me

Now I had starting the long tidious workmon thisnand counted everything 3 time but was still out by 5 for the checksum. When the cache was eventually found after a few day a wished I would have had other to solve with. But as it was stuck till today about the WP2 and final. All good in the end.
A great hike with the Bullen Range 7 (signing as BR7) which consisted of Toy Hunter, baristayan, buckoraider, contesta, pantspeople, sebass19 and me. A lot of bush bashing and along the Fire trail in the Bullen Range NR on the south east side and west of the Murrumbidgee starting from the Deep Space Station.
Up and down along and getting glimpses of the Hills in the background. Diving into the bush down steep bit in the last third to get to the harder once. We made it a great loop today that contesta had planed for us today. What a great comeback of the UFOs. About 14km in about 7h and 30(+) caches later we returned to the deep space station carpark. No DNFs and the caches were in good shape. This was a very enjoyable hike, the weather was not hot, rather a very comfortable 18 degrees max today with glorious sunshine. A great real exercise and adventure like only caching can give you. Thank you for the very enjoyable company today!
And thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the great cache series out and maintaining it. What an effort indeed!

Found with BR7 which consisted of myself, baristayan, buckoraider, contesta, Flintstone's, pantspeople and sebass19. Absolutely massive day of caching. Lots of going up and down hills and portions of bush bashing and rough ground terrain but we all kept in good spirits with lots of laughs. Amazing views all around and a very peaceful area, saw absolutely no one else other than a park ranger. On a day that makes me embarrassed to be a Western Bulldogs supporter, this walk was a major highlight! Thank you everyone! TFTC DSD!
Fave for the puzzle. Signed as pantspeople, but also BR7 entered into the logbook for our group find today.
It’s been a fair while since we visited the posted coordinates for this one, and identified what was required for the next waypoint.
Fortunate today to be passing by the second stop, and collect the required info from that locale. No issues with the calculations thereafter, and reaching GZ. Quite a pleasant stroll in the end.
A favourite for the unique multi, effort required to solve (and thus effort for the creation), and the sneaky additional verification method for the results of the posted coordinate calculations in particular.
Cheers DSD and ZQX

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases

Argghhh no luck with this cache today - but primarily due to a silly error on my part. I will be back!

Hard yakka from the start (mental) and less so to finish (physical). There were two questions that had us mystified/stumped so there were some learnings provided by a PAF - interesting .
In all a 'fun' group puzzle in which we all participated and happy to say that we found the missing ‘crypt' of sorts late morning. Not sure why a crypt would be placed 'here' but suffice to say we expect lots of other crypts to eventually appear in this general location hence it has probably been strategically placed to fit on with all the other bodies - dem the rules. Time will tell!
The cache container contained a little water that we drained and fortunately the log plastic sleeve had kept everything dry. We replaced the container a little higher up hoping to avoid future water collection however there appeared to be nothing wrong with the existing placement - so there you go. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.

Well, that was a pretty involved multi that has taken us quite some time to gather and parse the requisite data, and then employ shanks pony for yet another phase before finally coming up with satisfactory co-ords.
But a great day for an outing today in one of our favourite parts of the ACT region; cache quickly found at GZ which was a relief after this adventure!
Thanks, DSD.

A long journey to the crypt with caching buddies StarsAligned and Mountainsbeyond. Enjoyed the exercise, mental challenge and company. TFTC
It takes a village. A farming village or a walled village. A fishing village or a native village. Or maybe you need a fortress. People of action chain these things together and have long turns and end up buying a silver. Big money is the way to go. Fast turns. Often a winning strategy.
But that's enough of my thoughts about DXV's never-ending production line of Dominion expansions. I had some thoughts on St. Stephen, too, but I won't share them here.
There's some interesting history on that sign. Barnet's name also cropped up on a plaque in Yass. A colonial architect who got around. I wonder how many buildings, still standing, he was involved in.
A tough multi. Gotta be careful of the fine print, or you'll never find the crypt!
Thanks, DSD, for this multi, and congrats to the group who got ftf. I was present during placement, I've spent seven or more hours plus on this thing, and my name is in the log.

TikvaNZ alerted us to this cache. So, while he ventured out to the posted coordinates and collected the data, we knuckled down to extract it all and turn it into a waypoint. This took a while, but a spreadsheet from previous caches certainly helped to speed things up. I may have performed some of the work whilst on a work video call. Ssh. Research was used for the Dominion game and soon we were narrowing down on correct values and those we thought were close. Soon, we had data producing a waypoint that looked quite feasible. But the day was getting on, so we decided to make a shot at ftf the following morning.
The following morning arrived and the team was assembled. We made our way to wp2 and soon had the data necessary to figure out gz. We then continued on our journey to gz in the hope of a blank log. Some more puffing and soon we put our names in the logbook at the front. Hooray.
I quite like these caches - collect info, extract the data, conduct research, go back out into the field for the next piece. Just a different variety of caching, but using a range of tools and experience. TFTC DSD and particularly to the puzzle maker. Crypt found!! Have a fave.

An awesome day to be out caching with friends; Fox in Jox, AngelG27, SpecimenX and Search 4. I dropped by the posted coordinates yesterday to collect the initial information. We then spent a few hours collaborating to calculate the WP coords. Today we visited the WP and collected the information required to calculate GZ. Then a final ascent to GZ for a quick find. Very pleased to see a blank log book (except for those there on placement). TFTC.

For G, I added the word "unique" before "words". If you got a value for G before I made this change, you will need to count again. Or subtract 17 from what you had. Thank you to the person who alerted me to the mistake.

**FTF** with TikvaNZ, Fox in Jox, SpecimenX and Search4.
TikvaNZ had gone to the posted coordinates yesterday and sent back the information to the group for our use and then Fox cleaned it up ready for working out the letters. Not an easy task and required a bit of to and fro to get them sorted. Thanks to TikvaNZ and Fox for their dedicated efforts here.
Today we headed to the calculated waypoint where the final numbers were found in order to calculate GZ. The terrain for this cache is not for nothing! Then another walk to GZ, where the cache was found with a blank logbook, except for the names of the placers.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN and multi-setter for the cache and the challenge. This style of cache requires persistence and effort both mentally and physically.

Teamed up with AngelG27 along with the geochaps as this one was certainly on the to-do list. The geochaps kindly had the info on this one sorted and today, our team gathered to put in the collective huff to get to GZ. Once there, we were rewarded with a blank logbook to claim the FTF! Woohoo!
Thanks for the epic multi, DSD and helper!
