I found this Challenge cache with a bunch of people while doing a section of the UFO Series. I've checked my stats and I indeed qualify. Thanks DSD !!My qualifications are as follows :[fitzy_1965](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=fitzy_1965) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA71Y6/76649 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 6210 finds (1111 needed).Filters:( types (Unknown Cache) , country:Australia)
Apologies for the generic logs. After a couple of false starts and deferments a date was finally selected for another trip up the Bullen Range to collect some more in this area. Unfortunately our group had dwindled, but minniek, fitzy_1965, albida33, Nibletricecakes, Gliss! MtbikerOZ and isopeda were available to join in the fun. Mother nature gave us great weather for a walk. After meeting in the carpark it was time for the group to head up a familiar track to slowly tick off our list of UFO's and some of the new challenges. There were a couple of tree climbs which took a bit of thinking to get the right approach and find natures tools to make a climbing platform. The walk was tough, or perhaps it wasn't and FFLL no 2 was just out of condition. But the loop took us up and down along fire trails, and some bush bashing across the gullies. But all in all a successful day and great fun with a good bunch of people. All the logs were signed AAA. Thanks to all the CO's for the adventure and the fun. Looking forward to the next adventure. Back out on the Bullen Range to do more of the UFO series. Teamed up with the AAA team today to collect caches in the lower part of the Range. Hard to believe that it has been about a year since we were last out this way.We had such a glorious Autumn day and managed to pick up all the caches we went for. Thanks to all caches owners for placement.[minniek](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=minniek) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA71Y6/76649 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 3228 finds (1111 needed).Filters:( types (Unknown Cache) , country:Australia)
Found with Nibletricecakes, Minniek, Albida, Fitzy_1965, FurfacesLL, Isopeda, and MtBikerOz on another hike chipping away at the UFO trail. Signed as AAA or A cubed. Today I joined Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, MinnieK, Fitzy_1965, FurfacesLL, albida33, and mtbikeroz for a hike to collect a few more of the UFO series caches. We signed as A or A cubed or AAA for "April Alien Adventure".The weather was favourable, my knee was good enough for up and downs and a few tree climbs, and the company was, of course, excellent. The first half of the hike was on the fire trail and easy going, the second half - the way back in a loop - had some tricky gullies and tee tree to navigate through. This one I will have to check later. TFTC
It seems it has been 12 months since we were last out this way collecting UFOs. In the mean time our crew has had broken bones, weddings, and many a trip away. Great to finally be back out in the ranges together. Caching today with FurfacesLL, albida33, Fitzy_1965, Minniek, Isopeda, mtbikerOZand GLISS! Signing today as A cubed (or AAA) for April Alien Adventure. Cheers to the great weather, great company and great series of caches. Thanks for the cache, I will check soon if I qualify.
Found with minniek and the rest of Team A Cubed for April Alien Adventure (albida33, isopeda, Nibletricecakes, GLISS!, FurfacesLL and mtbikeroz). The trip for this section of the (mainly) UFO caches had been delayed a few times, and thus a few members left our team, but we had finally agreed on a convenient date, and eight hardy Cachers assembles for our April Alien Adventure (it always sounds cooler when you have a team name . Parking at the Tracking Station, we headed up the side of the Range where we descended last time in order to continue along from the last adventure up here. This proved a very sensible route as we were soon up on the fire trail and starting to seek out the caches. There were no problems with the caches unless otherwise stated. Once the UFO caches were found, it was time for the downwards slog for the Challenges, Multis and Trads (the UP part of this was a bit of a surprise !). Once at GZ it was a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on down through the bush. Thanks DSD !! I will check all the Challenges for qualification later.
UFO Westside Southern Section. After several deferments and a loss of large segments of our team to others trips, I was happy to get the chance to head up into the Bullen Ranges today for a bite at some more UFO caches and the new(ish) run of challenges and other caches across the west flank back to the tracking station. The team today was Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, MinnieK, Fitzy_1965, FurfacesLL, MtbikerOZ and myself. We signed as A cubed. The puzzles were all solved before this visit, and even most of the multi work had been done on previous visits, so today it was just the challenge of reaching the caches and finding the containers. There were a few tree climbs, but our collection of monkeys managed all of those as necessary. I was a little confused by the difference between the contour lines on the maps and the HUGE gullies we came across along the way, particularly towards the end of the day. There was some very thick undergrowth in places, but all in all the scrub is in great condition, even the burn offs seem to have been done in a way that leaves lots of trees intact. I thank my fellow travelers and am looking forward to the next effort in the hills behind Canberra.I will note this for now and verify my qualifications in the future. Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN**Albida**

Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter.According to the checker at Project-GC, I qualify for this challenge. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the challenge and the cache.
Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team waldron, courtney rose, davidwazza, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. Climbed and signed 1111 at 11:11am. Seriously, it wasn't planned, but we realised the curious coincidence just as we were returning the log to this tricky to access hide. This was a very impressive area to visit and we loved looking back at the dish at each GZ as we battled our way through the scrub up the hill. [^]Visited and signed with catnap777 on the 4th day of our holiday caching in NSW and the ACT. We got smart and did what we could of the "walky" ones on our wish list at the start of each day leaving our afternoons/evenings for finding driveby caches and challenges to sign. When we left for home, we had quite a collection to sort out. Again we had a long list and a tight schedule, and again we have been amazed at what we can achieve in the time we have. TFTC and challenge DARKSIDEDAN.
Cache found and log signed with dalerious . We came to Canberra with an immense and impressive list of caches. There was a huge variety and types, covering Yass and Goulburn as well .The priority for us this trip, was to sign as many Challenge caches as we could. There were many we had to hike for . There were a few that were not found which was disappointing, but plenty that were found and signed. Some beautiful country was covered by foot and vehicle, and we had a ball.I will be using this generic log for all of the Challenge caches, but I will mention if there was an issue with the hide, container or log where possible .Please accept my humble thanks for all CO's effort on placing out these awesome Challenges for us to find, sign and one day qualify for.I have logged all as a Write Note, and I will duly log them as Found as I start to work through them all .
Looking forward to puttiing a smiley here next year after crossing the Nullabor again

Happy for the stop on thebway up. A great hike with the Bullen Range 7 (signing as BR7) which consisted of Toy Hunter, baristayan, buckoraider, contesta, pantspeople, sebass19 and me. A lot of bush bashing and along the Fire trail in the Bullen Range NR on the south east side and west of the Murrumbidgee starting from the Deep Space Station.
Up and down along and getting glimpses of the Hills in the background. Diving into the bush down steep bit in the last third to get to the harder once. We made it a great loop today that contesta had planed for us today. What a great comeback of the UFOs. About 14km in about 7h and 30(+) caches later we returned to the deep space station carpark. No DNFs and the caches were in good shape. This was a very enjoyable hike, the weather was not hot, rather a very comfortable 18 degrees max today with glorious sunshine. A great real exercise and adventure like only caching can give you. Thank you for the very enjoyable company today!
And thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the great cache series out and maintaining it. What an effort indeed!

All good at GZ. Thanks DSD. Look forward to meeting the challenge requirements one day

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases

A lovely morning to go for a short hike up the Bullen Range to pick up some of the newest caches out this way! We started the hike just before 11:30am and made it back to the car just after 1:30pm. In two hours we managed to tick off the 6 caches on our list!
Over the years I have slowly enjoyed the physical aspect of this game more and more, and sitting down at home solving pesky puzzles less and less. Solving a hard puzzle used to be thrilling to me, but now it just feels like a necessary task if I want to keep doing the part of the game I enjoy. Nonetheless, thousands of puzzles have been solved, and many of them found, so I qualify for this challenge!
Thanks DSD

Found with Loci612 on a short, sharp, fun but tough hike up the Bullen Ranges. I don't qualify for this challenge yet but hope to be able to log sometime in the future. TFTC!
A bit of an easier walk now that we were on the ridgeline. I spotted the cache after reading some of the past logs and then the nimble Loci made the retrieval. Is this the highest 'one' in the Bullen Range, or not?

What better way is there to mark ANZAC day than by having a hike in the Australian bush with friends! Gives me time to reflect on friendship, support and persistence. Headed out with TikvaNZ, SpecimenX, Search4 and Fox in Jox on a hike in Bullen Range to grab some newer caches that have appeared and enjoy another glorious Autumn day. The first bit of the hike was tough going with lots of up and down into gullies, but the rest of the hike on spurs and ridges was the type of hiking I love out here - open forest, gentle slopes and plenty of bird life. Found all the caches we aimed for, and SpecimenX and Search4 found a few more besides.
Quickly spotted and Fox did the honours.

We parked at the usual spot and headed south east to follow this new string of caches through the bush to the fire trail, then headed up the trail to find a few for Search 4 and SpecimenX, and then followed the trail down and back to the car. About 4 hours round trip. Cache soon found. TFTC.
According to [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA71Y6/76649 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") I qualified for this challenge with 2388 unknown finds in Australia (1111 needed)

What a glorious day to go for a hike!
Teamed up with AngelG27 along with the geochaps comprising of Search4, TikvaNZ and Fox in Jox (signed as FASTS). Great fun with this lot! The focus of the day was to nab the recently published caches in Bullen Range and a few others along the way.
Finally I qualify for one along here lol

With many years serving in the Australian Army, I have come to appreciate a few basic things: friendship, our way of life and enjoying our own back yard. So what better way to celebrate ANZAC Day than a fun hike with friends in the Bullen Range. We signed the log as FASTS: Fox in Jox, AngelG27, Search4, TikvaNZ and SpecimenX.
I performed the retrieval for this one, due to some elevation requirements. Best ridge in the ACT, with a pleasant gradient and sufficiently open. TFTC DSD
Fox in Jox fulfills challenge 1111 Unknowns challenge (GCA71Y6) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA71Y6/76649

Found on a sunny autumn day. No track here, but the vegetation on the ridge is not too thick. Crossing the creeks is another matter. But it it possible to avoid those crossings if you go the long way around.
How beautiful is this spot? There was some birdlife around, including one species that I didn't recognise. I wish I had my bird book with me.
I qualify for the challenge. aTM I'm just shy of 2400 unknowns. I quite like them. Especially in April, it turns out.
Running a few names through the checker, I see that one of my friends has gone past 5000 unknowns. That's pretty amazing. Maybe one day I will get to that point.
Thanks DSD for taking on another string of caches in the Bullen Range.
I was present during placement and I am logging this now that FTF has been claimed.

A fast-finishing second to find here. After a conveniently timed start this morning (the Dream Team do not enjoy getting up early!) we had a pleasant walk across the familiar grasslands, through the scrub and then up the spur in the Bullen Range Adventure Playground to make a quick find at GZ. An adroit bit of scrambling later and the duty climber made the sign + replacement look easy, although future finders should be wary of the dead parts of this tree.
28 more needed to qualify; log signed today. Thanks, DSD!

A beautiful hike with friends despite the dampness underfoot and the light drizzle momentarily. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
