WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 66 - Swan Valley Perth Day 11. I took another train ride into the city today. I set myself a new list of caches to get to, starting in Northridge and then doing the Perth Sculpture Labs across the main part of the city and getting to the Elizabeth Quay area. It turned out I needed to take the ferry over the river for a cache too, so that was a bonus. I wanted to try a different train, so I went down to Bull Creek for a short walk before heading home for the day. great day with a bit more walking than I had in mind.I could see this one, so I won't do a DNF, but there was no way my fat fingers were going to get to it.Thanks for the cache SirFancy**Albida**

Spur of the moment lunchtime grab. Its perfectly normal to eat a roll outside a spot like that, right?!Nerve-wracking putting it back with so many muggles about. Need to return with a pen. TFTC on what would otherwise be a mundane work day! Well done!

Made a quick find after tea in Northbridge. Some of the family decided to go in and have some some fun on the machines.

Found it! But went past it twice even with a torch. We are newbies though. It is well camoed. My grandson says the container was 3 D printed. Well done!

A nice day out with friends to check out the museum and have lunch. Hotter than expected today. A quick check on whether there were any convenient caches for us and we were quickly walking to this one. A quick find. We are from Switzerland...and we travel all states and Terrotorys of Australia .We do housesitting all over the world and travel afterwards. Its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching Nggi2 and I decided today and to make out of that green ones Smilies .We travel now around WA before we leave for other countrys . Finally we make it to Perth..after visitig Rottnest Island yesterday. We were here 14 years ago and 25 years ago as well ..and everytime the city has changed exept for the kangaroos statues and the lovely arcade with the clock . We walked to all caches and spoted most of them in good time after little search.Thank you for this Dsli ( which means in Swiss cache )oinkoinkText@camp

Fortunately they were all sufficiently lubricated to be laying no attention to usA few days in Perth, first visit here since 2007. We were on our way home but had some time for a few more around the city area so made the most of reduced population on a warm Monday evening. Axell33 spotted this one quickly and while he watched for a clear coast I made the grab a signed the log nearby. Cache was replaced for another smilie! Thanks for this clever city hide SirFancy.

Wasnt able to get a park nearby so Meme28 and I jumped out and walked over to GZ this time spotting the container immediately.Thanks for replacing so quickly. On a Tuesday evening caching adventure with I C Nothing, monkeywand and an appearance from Meme28.We arranged to meet up in Stirling and we going to stay fairly close to the city before the lure of a new lab drew us northwards.After reaching Carine we decided to start heading back to the city targeting caches with high favourite points and looped through the CBD to clean up the map a little.As promised we got Meme28 home nice and early.I finished the evening with 25 finds, 5 adventure labs and 0 DNFs Thanks SirFancy for placing Im out of time, Im afraid I now must dash. for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 22:07 on 30/1/2024.This is find number 8054 for me.

Unfortunately I was unable to locate this cache today. I will add it to my list and hopefully return soon to claim the prize.Double checked with the CO and confirmed our suspicions.
Out and about with @jamesknowlson in the city for 7 hours today finding geocaches. A fun day with no backtracking due to James perfectly prepared map and schedule of how to get to all the waypoints and stops from all the different caches around the city. We covered 15km on foot and managed to find multiple caches and get the coordinates for some multis that we will come back to at a later date. Attached is our funny selfie with the cache! Since we moved to Perth and got back into the game, I have been wanting to tackle Northbridge for a while. The plan was to catch the bus into the city in the morning, and stay all day grabbing caches. The only issue what order do we do everything in? I noticed a few multi caches with several waypoints. So spent last night (until about 1am) plotting every multi way point, traditional and virtual cache onto google maps, and working out the best method of attack from the bus stop. Im sure there is an easier way to do this but oh well. Its done now.So I set our route. Printed it all out, and it was ready to go! Woke up this morning, packed a lunch, and headed for the city at 10am. We started off slow, as 4 traditional caches were first up, but after that, we were smashing waypoint after waypoint of several different multi caches along St Georges Terrace (STG) whilst taking the occasional detour for the odd virtual/traditional slightly off the path. I must say, planning it out paid off! Otherwise, we would have been walking the length of SGT more than once! (Not ideal).By the time we made it to the end of STG, we had green lights on 4 Multi Caches (Plaques War Heroes, Plaques Government, Plaques Settlers, and Bumming Around).We then made our way down to Elizabeth Quay to collect a few more caches/waypoints, before returning to the bus to head home approximately 5pm.A great day out caching! Racked up 15km on foot!..This cache was the last up of an initial 4 traditionals close to the bus stop. A neat camo in such a public location. Quite liked the container, but a shame we didn't hit this one in November (Movember). Will attach a selfie later tonight.
Was a bit of a struggle to get out, needed an extension. We left it around the same area but a bit easier to reach. Tftc!

We are visiting WA to catch up with extended family. The last major reunion we attended was in 1963 so some of the people may have changed a bit. We headed out to Northbridge tonight as our WA family has a history of owning / running pubs including the Northbridge. This dates back to our ancestor finding the Golden Nugget which was melted down and sold with the proceeds being used to acquie the Golden Nugget Hotel in Kalgoorlie. Sadly gone now. A replica of the Golden Eagle is in the foyet of the Northgate Hotel. So grabbing a local cache seemed like the right thing to do.Thanks SirFancy 
Trobat! Encontrado!Found It during a walk around Northbridge, I found this one in my way to my English Academy. Harder than expected, but with not to many spots for search the container was in my hands in a couple of minutes. Was a good camo and a place where I Will walk every morning.
