This cache was on the list I threw together for +Mum and Wendy incase it was near the adventure final. They couldnt find anything at the hint but found a lidless nano sitting on the roof intersection. Thanks for the smiley
After finishing the nearby ad lab I somehow found myself down along here, so made sure to grab this cache as well along the way, quick find here, TFTC
We made a slight detour while on our way home from Christchurch for a small handful of caches. This looks like it's a bus shelter for school kids. The birds certainly take advantage of the shelter provided. All good with the cache. Thanks.
Found the cache.Advice to people who wish to find this cache:Bring a peg for your nose! Very easy find. I think the size could more accurately be described as small.#33. TftC.
I very much love getting to visit the South Island. Until recently it wasn't something I got to do very often, but in the last year I've managed a series of mini-trips for geocaching, and here we are at the start of 2024 with another one. Just like my first SI trip in 2023, I've come to Christchurch to target a few specific caches to help with my Jasmer Grid, and qualification for a few challenges I'm currently working on.This is Day 3, and after the last 2 days of more target-focussed caching, today it's all about the numbers as I look to boost my qualification for GC30AD8 DGSc Challenge. One of my electives is Puzzle Solving, and seeing as I'd solved a whole bunch of them in readiness for my trip to Chch last year I thought this morning would be a good to look for some of them, and any other caches around the same areas, including this one.Having just failed to find one cache, I consoled myself by making a very quick find of this one. No issues to report here, and I soon added my name to the log and before replacing everything as found. Thanks for setting this one up.
Down in the Christchurch area with woolwood9. Day 2, Driving around southern areas - a very nice day out.SL *tm/ww NZ**Thank you for the reason to visit this cache and location* Nice and quiet at GZ so quick find.
Day two of the short trip away with tmann421 hunting out some caches. The weather turned it on for us today with a wonderfully sunny day.Signed all logs tm/ww NZThanks to all cache owners for the efforts of placing and maintaining these caches.
I went through the log book and noticed that Tuftys been here. My husband usually notices his name in logbooks. I was caching solo today but I did notice his name. We both met up with Tufty at an event after the rugby loss.
I can see that you are over the moon about your first grandson. I hope it is a grandson and not a grandaughter as I can't tell by the cache page.Cheers for the cache, BigglesNZ.
It's Labour Day, and the last day of our long weekend visit to Timaru, so after finding a few caches in the area, it was time for StreetWalkerNZ and me to head back to Christchurch.Time we cleaned up the Dunsandel caches and it didn't take long for SW to spot this one. I bet you can't wait until Jack is old enough to be inducted into the art of geocaching . TFTC.
#23190. We turned off SH1 at the Synlait plant, and have finally made it to Dunsandel (via a detour to Lake Crighton). Interesting to see all the dairy sheds along the way. Quick find here. Congrats on Jack's arrival. TFTC.
Hi there you two! Heading down to Dunedin to spend the long weekend with my three grandsons. There is no time for caching except for this special cache. I wanted to stop for this as I was the first to find Jack's sister's cache. Now I have the pair. I spotted the cache on the ground as I went in so placed it back according to the hint with a rock in front. Hope you are both ebjoying your new life down here - we miss you in the top of the South. Nice to get an extra cache after completing the Lab & Bonus saw this one so why no - TFTC
Down for the event, I snuck around and grabbed these. Entered and set my sights a bit higher though and located it. Nice to find another cache that's acknowledging a birth too. A neat idea I think.

On a roadie to CHC for the Pink Fliyd Experience. Spent some Time here, saw a shiny crazy diamond and avoided some dogs of war TFTC
Just had to Google the history of the nearby street. Maybe it's Albert James McLaughlin of the Cycle battalion, killed in action WW1. Thanks BigglesNZ
A nice quick find, the last on our journey. Thanks for placing your cache. Occaisionally signed MK+KR on some of the caches today, and apologies for the generic logs.
Ms_KR and I are heading home today after a fun trip south. The snow on the mountains was lovely.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.

If the other cache we found was a bus stop, this seems like it's a "poop stop" for birds
A quick find here.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, BigglesNZ!

Spent the morning walking around Dunsandel doing the new multi and AL. Thought that we may as well grab this one at the same time. TFTC.
A quick park, grab and sign. Had to be quick as a barking dog on the other side of the driveway was waking up the neighbourhood. A bit dark so the cache was located by touch; TFTC
Examined most parts of the feature and Mr BP came to help, spent 20 mins and had to leave it. If it's there it's very clever/tricky/sneaky and a D above published! will put on watch list, I'm very curious.
Well that didn't last very long... I've replaced the missing cache today. If it goes missing again, I'm going to have to try something more cunning.
A neat little hide and a part of Dunsandel we almost never see. A very pleasant and stress free Sunday "stroll."Thank you B.NZ
A small deviation on my way back home where I found this newly published hide. Will have to go to Lake Crichton another day. Tftc, BigglesNZ.

700m from home? A new cache? Huzzah! Looked at the map and knew exactly what is would be in and after a quick drive and search - success for a FTF at 0817. Welcome to Dunsandel! Cheers for the {FTF}
