Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
Last day of my Three Corners tour, visiting all three of Queensland's remote western corners over 12 days. We are on the home strait now heading for home!Last night we stayed in St George and today we have the long drive to Brisbane in front of us. There is some bad weather about and we are trying to beat the worst of it. We stopped nearby for a toielt break and driver change and I hustled over to search. My heart dropped when I saw GZ - so many potential hidding spots and not enough time. When my allocated time allowance expired, we were back in the car and on the road. No find today for me unfortunately. Many thanks Kezz bear. Pete
First fine of our trip to Birdsville or bust. Never been to Moonie before and looks like a great spot to spend an overnighter and visit the surrounding area. Spent too long before finding the cache. Well tucked away!!Thanks SaintsMadHouse / kezz bear for making our trip worthwhile.
As we were planning on coming through Moonie while on holidays we solved this puzzle. I solved part of the puzzle without any problems but I couldn't figure out what to do with the information. I messaged the CO for a hint and then it all made sense and I had the co-ords needed. Thank you.Today we passed through Moonie and found the cache all safe and sound in its spot. I loved the nearby Yabbie.TFTC
TFTC KezzBear your cache Moonie Madness Crossroads that we found today. We are meandering home after a Mega trip that included both Adelaide and Canberra. We had stopped here on the way out in early December. Suspected we knew where the cache should be but could not find it. A bit of time on our hands we solved the puzzle and had the right co-ordinates. After a long drive today we stopped for an overnighter across the road. A short walk and search and we had two containers. Signed the magnetic one and took the second container. Wr did leave the sheet with finders in the correct container.Find Count: 19592 .
Quick find on a nice drive around the area today. Cache log is damp though. TFTC
33,598. Found during our Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure - a 33 day epic tour of Northern NSW and Outback Queensland finding many caches, attending great events and catching up with awesome Cachers along the way.Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure Day 30. Today we packed up, did our best to clean out Chinchilla (including a very important Adventure Lab point at the Big Watermelon), then headed South and West through Tara, Moonie and into today's destination St. George (a new LGA for me). After all that driving and caching we enjoyed a few beers at the St. George Hotel while the AFL Grand Final was on. We still had 4 days and lots of caches to go on this trip. This was the next one on the list. Quickly found once at GZ. Signed as F65 and A33 as required. Replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our journey. Thanks to all the COs who put out these caches !!
QOGM 2023 Longreach Day 30. Traveling Chinchilla to St George via Tara & Moonie. Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 are on our trip in early spring to Longreach. The journey home is well under way and today was a morning caching around Chinchilla before packing up and heading south. Lots of driving again today, but we found a few caches to stop at along the day, including one puzzle we solved just for this day before we left. The day warmed up after a few cooler days. In the afternoon we tried one of the St George pubs, but went back to camp to cook. The item hosting the cache was quite intimidating, but happily the cache was found without having to be too adventurous. Thanks for the cache SaintsMadHouse44590.18 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Astrolabe Bronze A#53**Albida**
Heading to Moree after spending the night in Mitchell this was a good find. Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
Thanks SaintsMadHouse for the lovely puzzle Id solved before leaving home.icybeetas found the cache here whilst I was busy taking photos. Thanks for the cache and a good reason to break the journey to Moree and admire the machinery and the yabby.
Originally, I wasn't planning on coming via Moonie at the four-ways, but my new car GPS had other ideas. Anyway, it turned out to be a good detour and a nice leg stretch whilst I was looking for a special number, but I ended up finding the container first.
The area was full of 3 bunger trailers, B doubles, wide loaders, long loaders, every trailer under the sun heading north, south, east, and west!
Thank you, SaintsMadHouse, for placing this fun puzzle and good hide, a favourite point from me

Nice quick stop on our trip from WA to QLD and back to pick up our caravan and grab a few sneaky caches on the way.
Saw this was the only cache in Moonie where we were staying for the night so tried to decipher while in the road with intermittent internet .... decided it was necessary to message the CO for some hints as we are hopeless with these!! And rightly so, little trickier than I thought but with some good nudges from the CO we managed it in the end! Very much appreciate the quick response!
Well worth it, great hide, FP added!
What a crazy crossroads though!!

Heading to St George for a couple of days work in the dams around the area, you see they are currently empty and when that happens once a year multiple high powered offroad vehicles enter the dam and race around a course made inside and around the dams...
yep I'm talking about offroad racing and I'm here because im silly enough to stand infront of them and pretend to be a photographer
So ofcourse I stopped at Moonie for a lookie and I can say I foundie the cachie at Moonie
All was in great condition and everything was in place... thanks SaintsMadhouse for giving me a reason to stop.... and make a few locals happy as they got to check out a race car that was travelling with me on my way out

Solve the puzzle to find the coordinates. Do not try to just wander around hoping to find it. A few previous “finders” have not found this cache. They have found something else but not the cache. There is a puzzle checker you can use and it is correct. If you have different numbers it is because you are in the wrong place or have the wrong answer. I am happy to help people. I suggest solving before heading there
25.06.23 tftc found while out n about, couldn’t work the code so looked at previous finds and looked for metallic structures, took some time and eventually found it in a plastic container
I tried the chords that I found it at and put into the checker which stated incorrect, not sure why
No luck today. Tried for ages with PapaGrouch, although I didn't see the additional hint on my tablet, just noticed it as I am logging on PC. I'm not sure if that would have helped.
Hints are a little misleading, unless cache has changed container and moved somewhat. Took us a good twenty minutes to find and we had almost given up when Boot spotted the sneaky hide. An interesting piece of history.
Travelling from Bogabilla to Gladstone as part of our 'north for warmer weather' trip (North East Vic to Central Qld).
Thanks to all COs who have provided caches along the way.
