Found with WaywardWoman while out caching today. There is bridge repair happening, and there is fencing in front of GZ. However, as there was no one around, we slipped around the back and managed to get the cache. Once bridge repair starts, it might be difficult to access. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
#7720- We were doing the AL when we noticed this relatively new one. As thomo31 and I approached GZ, we saw lots of fencing and thought we wouldn't be able to get to it. We were able to reach it today. I like ones like this- the container has lost some of its magnets to hold it together though. May be difficult in future to reach it due to cinstruction. A favourite from me. Thanks
Thanks for the heads up re: the bridge repairs. I had wondered if the cache location would be affected and was keeping an eye out for when the work - which would close the bridge for 3 weeks over "September-October" - would start. Naturally I left town just before the end of October and work still hadn't started, but it has now!I'll be back soon and will take this opportunity to replace the missing magnets while the cache is less accessible than usual.
Friday off, so Friday caching it is. Since swapping to shift work I am doing a lot more weekdays of caching, sometimes easier due to all people working and schools are on, sometimes harder, especially near schools. Today's target Icton and Camden area, picking up a few multis, solved puzzles and new adventure labs.TFTC Wilbert67
Tricky at first because I was clueless to what I was looking for. I was too fixated on the bridge. However after broadening the search a little and looking at different things, just happened to notice something that didnt belong. Easy enough to retrieve from then on! Nice setup. Very creative TFTC ??
Beautiful day for a walk- have done a few caches in Harrington Park this morning.Came here earlier but wasnt sure what to do, and considering the amount of muggles I decided to walk on, read the previous logs, grab a coffee and head back. Came back about 30 minutes later- no muggles in site- looked down first spotted something, opened it and bingo! Looked up and scratched my head as I was doing the opposite of what was needed. Signed log (first on replaced log) and returned everything to its hide. Covered with natural camouflage. TFTC & a FP from me.
Coordinates changed from:S 34 1.621 E 150 43.951Coordinates changed to:S 34 1.628 E 150 43.976Distance from original: 133.0 feet or 40.5 meters.Picked a new hiding spot which will hopefully make it easier to grab the cache without drawing attention, and make it less likely to be muggled!
Cache is back!!Many thanks to Curliebunny666 for his assistance with getting it in place.
Apologies for not including an ETA! Replacement cache is finally finished, so should be placed this week. Definitely back online before 12th August.
Apologies for the delay in updates here. The first parts of the replacement came together quickly, but the last piece has proven more difficult than anticipated. But now I suddenly have time to dedicate to this problem, so it should be back in action in the next two weeks.
The photo jkcourtz sent me is pretty clear, so disabling this right away. Should be able to check it myself tonight and get a replacement organised pretty quick.
Streak Day #3842 - Out with Dave8153 for our cache of the day, took a bit to find but we discovered how to retrieve and made the find. TFTC
17 January 2024This is find number: 9086Streak Day: 2953Found Today with Snoopy1976, after a short search, we spotted the 1st part and then looked up and spotted the cache, then we set about the retrieval. ThanksThanks to Laimelde for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC
#10183 (4 of 8 today)So, Day 5 of the cricket test... hold on, it finished yesterday, meaning I was free to appease the Calendar Caching Gods and greatly up my finds for 7 January.Headed out west to the land of **The Booos** and picked up caches from Oran Park to MEnangle. Most importantly, I got everything I went for!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###After my last find I arrived wondering what the CO had waiting for me this time.Made an assumption on arrival, so started my search to no avail. Then checked the app - oh, further that way. Relocated and started looking until I spotted something cachey. Gotha! Well, not yet.Planned my one person attack and in the end needed a local TOTT to get my fingers on it. It was then I realised I had no pen. Where was it? Answer, in the water nearby. Well, that'll teach me.Took a short distance to complete signing duties - a good thing too as the muggles who were non-existent during the grab suddenly appeared from all directions.Signed, then back to the muggle-free GZ for a quick replace. Phew.Onwards!SLTNLNTFTC
Took us a little bit to realise that the coordinates were off and located something on the opposite side of the path. Great cache! Super fun
OCW frazeydaze around Harrington Park. The hint made sense after the find, however, before that there was a bit of head scratching and reading of previous logs, a couple of which helped in a cryptic way. TFTC Laimelde and have an FP for the construction.
Out caching in the Oran Park / Harrington Park area with oldmorty.Arrived at GZ and had an initial quick look around. Didnt spot anything immediately.A more thorough search followed which resulted in the discovery of something interesting. I then looked up and saw what had to be done. This was certainly a 2 person job which resulted in us retrieving the cache, signing the log and returning all as found. Thanks to Laimelde for constructing this great cache.Certainly worth a favourite point.
We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in and around Camden, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Poplar Tourist Park in Elderslie. Hoping to collect some more previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches and complete some of the new Adventure Labs that have appeared since our last visit to the area. The homeward journey will be via Sydney Olympic Park for the Geocaching NSW GIFF Event GIFF 2023 - Sydney Olympic Park. Photos will be uploaded to some (most) logs on our return to home base.Today (day 1) we travelled out to Camden, going via the A3 Arterial and M5 Motorway, then followed Camden Valley Way and Bringelly Road through to The Northern Road. Stopped for a few caches along The Northern Road, then spent a few hours caching around Oran Park, before arriving at our accommodation in Elderslie (near Camden). This was the 20th of 21 finds for the day (day 1), and 20th find of the holiday.Took a slight detour off The Northern Road for this one at Harrington Park Lake, parking the geomobile at the end of Lord Eldon Drive, then walking through the park and over the bridge to reach GZ. Found the first part and soon realised there was more to to the cache than what we had found, so read through the cache's description for enlightenment, and then quickly spotted the other part. Carried out the required actions, which was helped by the use of a local TOTT to assist with the gravitel action (it was stuck), and we soon had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced (reset) everything as found. TFTC Laimelde, it gets a Favourite point from us.Find #6425
Came by on a wet Sunday morning to check the cache, and while the camo definitely needs some touch ups, it can wait until after the rains have passed. Everything else is in good nick. Please remember to return the first part of the cache to where you found it (using a stick can help hold it in place), and cover it with a piece of bark to prevent muggles from spotting it.The recent big winds have also left plenty of sticks on the ground; handy if the second part of the cache needs a bit of encouragement!
Arriving at GZ, the cache name provided more clues than the description but where was what I needed? Greeted nice day chatted with several passing muggles yes, the council should do more to clean up the creek finally spot the prize. Now to track the wait for more passing muggles untangle the attachment with an improvised TOTT hi, how ya doin and gotcha!
I was walking my son's dog the other day and went past this cache. However, due to the recent back burning and the amount of smoke around my gps went haywire. So today was a nice day for a walk with the doggie. Found quick enough then had to work out where the cache was. Hmmm a bit of jiggling and there it was. Great hide. Love the camo. Tftc
Dropped by tonight just to check all was okay. Looks like a previous finder has a bit of trouble returning the cache to it's original state, but it was sorted out easily enough. All good here.
While taking with my mechanic, to everywhere they get my suspension done right I was on foot to find some more caches to while the day way l away, until my car is done. Should have brought my bike!
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
What a great cache! Took some time as GZ registered a different location due to bad gps- but with some help from owner was able to steer us in the right direction! With Nicole!
That was great! We had no luck earlier today, message the CO who have a bit of guidance on what we should be focusing on. We were again stumped when we returned and about to ask for more help but as soon as we did so Nay spotted the extremely good camo! One of our fav today for sure
A great little cache, well worth a FP. A pity it is so close to passing muggles when you are retrieving/replacing the cache, it really needs to be placed somewhere away from prying eyes. Thanks
Dropped by here to improve the camo on step 1 and check that everything was in working order. All looking good!
A fun find in the dark! Finding the down before the up was made easier using our flashlights. TFTC
That took a long time to spot and then figure out. Not sure how long it will last sadly.
TFTC.

Tricky to locate at first and then spied something on the opposite side of the path. Quickly figured out what was required, thanks for the hide
Parked in Lord Eldon Drive, a quiet off street with no cars passing 120 metres from GZ. A. Few muggles passing by but pretended I was bird watching with my camera. Didn’t see any decoy. Found the first part, then the second,. Put on a temporary hold while cache retrieved.SL then followed that bit of instruction visible, and returned as it should be.,but added a bit more cammo as became loose after a few finds ..FP TFTC
as I walked along the path , I spotted a large number of birds, coots, swamp hens, ducks even a geese or two what a great area. It was around 9.30am even though it was cool a number of muggle walkers were around , walking dogs , jogging or just walking taking in the lovely area.
On arriving at GZ was trying understand the hint - what did it mean ?
As the coordinates where spot on , I spotted something that had some camo - oh- what's this , I guess I open it .. hmmm Vicks ! nothing here ,has the log gone walkabout ? hang on why is this attached to it ??? ahh, the hint finally hit me. Wait a sec , can't go fishing yet a few muggle walkers are coming - what must I do , time to pretend I am on a call !
As the coast was clear went back to my fishing but wait here comes a council worker doing his whipper snipping.. oh dear. Lucky he turned around and went the other way . Time to bring in the fish ... but would you believe it a muggle biker is coming now ! I quickly took hold of the log and brought the line up as he zapped past . After signing the log I waited patiently until the area of approaching muggles was clear, before returning it to its secure hide. What a great cache idea . I don't recommend attempting this at busy time such as weekends or nice summer days and yes having a cockatoo with you on collecting makes easier for you !

Another local cache means an excuse to get out on our treadlies. Great.
And what a neat cache. FP. We inspected what appeared to be a decoy, then realised that this was a bit of a field puzzle. There was a bit of untangling to do which Sue worked on whilst I located the cache. No one dared walk by as we wore our helmets with cable ties sticking out which probably made us look like Martians. The cache was within my reach. Of course, this doesn't mean that anyone else could reach it! After SL, we tidied up as best we could. Thank you very much Laimelde for this enjoyable cache.

After an enjoyable morning spent completing the mother's day classic with friends in Camden, GGCoconut, HJCoconut and myself found ourselves footloose and fancy free for the afternoon. Well... How else would I choose to spend mother's day afternoon but to find a cache or two!
This one certainly had my curious. Approaching GZ, the GPS decided to wig out and so I intially was searching structures which revealed nothing of interest. I was just in the process of scratching my head when I suddenly spotted something - it was the up rather than the down. But I quickly worked out what was required - secured a little differently to others I've seen of the same type. Soon the log was in hand but as I was signing, the cache decided to be a little bit naughty and play peek a boo... And of course at this time, we could also see muggles approaching in the distance! Oh the stress!!! Some quick scrambling and coordinated efforts been GGC and I and the log and cache were quickly back in place by the time the muggles reached GZ, none the wiser. Phewwww!
Well done, a creative hide in a nice location. Deserves a FP.

Coordinates changed from:

Coordinates changed to:
S 34° 1.621 E 150° 43.951
Distance from original: 102.6 feet or 31.3 meters.
I triple-checked these a few days ago but today they're definitely wrong. Apologies to Zayway and anyone else who already searched and was in the wrong spot!

FTF!! First FTF we've ever gotten. Took a while, as coordinates were wrong, and when we asked the CO for a hint, they realised it was wrong. So they gave us a hint, and after a few minutes, we finally found the cache! Tftc A great Mother's Day
To be clear, the only "hint" I gave Zayway was directions to the correct GZ - the rest was all them!
Congrats on your first FTF!
