Logs
(13 of 14 today - including 3 Adventure Labs)I'm after a single find for my calendar today, but I feel like a cache splurge! So I headed north for a plethora of placements in our premier pinot production place.Started later than I'd have liked as I needed to get some reserved seats for the Sydney Test - brave given their recent performance, but...It's warm today, but not the blistering heat predicted for the next few days.Started with a DNF, then stuffed up two access points - well I had the right one, but ignored it - but after that everything went well. All up I made 14 finds, and there are still plenty up here to grab in the future!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Well at least I'm parked on this side of the stop. This one is a real ankle breaker if I do way so myself.Carefully picked my way to GZ for the instant find.Signed the damp log and replaced. Then took the easier, but still with ankle mangling potential, route back to the car.Time to head home, but couldn't resist one more - well I do have to turn around.SLTNLNTFTC
Quickly spotted but the cache was wet inside. I managed to sign the log but the baggie also has a hole. Some rusty trinkets were removed for safety.
# 1724Found today with nellc. Came this way this afternoon for a bit of caching. Last one fir the day and it was easily spotted but very wet inside. Log signed and cleaned out the container and replaced it as found.
Found this cache while I stopped in on my way down to the south coast via the Putty road. Thanks Kingfish for the cache.
#7760On an overnight Hunter Valley escape with harveyt2079. After sampling some more local produce, we again ventured toward Branxton for more caching fun. Hadn't pre-read the cache description and consequently could not participate in the exchange program.TFTC kingfisher_au
A bit of an adventure getting to the cache in the rain! Saw a kangaroo hiding under a bush to try and keep dry. Tried my best to sign log but it was damp and only had a pencil tFTC
Content inside is wet.. Didn't have the equipment to change it out unfortunately.. Still added a little something to the collection tho
Tftc - great spot, a little tricky to get to, but worth it. Plenty of trinkets too!
Our last for the morning, this one was a little harder to get but easy to see from some distance away. I logged the find then we headed off to the bakery for lunch. Thanks for another good cache and its container, and this interesting series.
Nice easy walk around the loop of caches here. fav pointTotal Caches Found 16154TFTC
Found with Baktrak after some slipping and sliding.Almost a circumnavigation done. Thanks kingfisher au
Found with MummyPenny after crossing the waterway and slipping on the greasy embankments. Going by the deep footprints in the mud, the roos are having the same touble. Thanks kingfisher_au.
Found, with shaneo58, We came up to Branxton to attempt all the new caches placed since we've been here last. It all went according to the story except for taking and leaving an item.Signed log and Cache replaced as found.**Thanks For The Cache** kingfisher_au.This makes the 1st cache of 10 for today making a grand total of 4379 at 10:08AM on this Friday the 3rd of May in the Year 2024
Another day of rain making it hard to cache but armed with rain jackets we set off to once more explore the area with the local caches. We wanted to do these caches yesterday but the weather was crap but unfortunately today is no better so wearing a newly purchased raincoat we decided to return and brave the elements anywayThe last for this side saw a lot of water nearby , nearly losing the short Triton Cache all dry however. Thanks kingfisher_au for the themed placement, a favourite added.
A quick find after a short walk to GZ. A warm day so moved cautiously through the grass and rock hopping being aware that this looked like an ideal location for a snake, TNLN thanks.
We had to make a trip to Dubbo, but we made a spare half day to go caching in the Branxton area. There has been many new caches placed since we were last here, taking us to some interesting locations while touring the area. Now camped at Jerrys Plains overnight. Thanks kingfisher_au for hiding this cache.
Tftc kingfisher , great bush surrounding this rest area to walk around. Made ever better by having such fun caches here.
It was not too difficult to wander through this area with goingplaces2. This was No 1 of the 4 we found and soon had both names added to the log. TFTC.
Set out with ilook4geo today to go for a walk and pick up the caches in this area, but a storm interrupted that plan. We had completed 4 of the 6 when it started to rain, so we high tailed it back to the car pronto and reached there just as it started to pour down. Thankfully this one was a quick and easy find when it was still dry. Log was signed and replaced before we hurried on. Thanks for the cache go to kingfisher_au. Really good containers for this series too.
Stopping at rest stops on the way home to find caches. Walked around for a little while following the coordinates and looking around. After a short time found the nicely made cache. Signed and returned back to its original position.
With time to kill and only a 15 minute drive from here, I made my way here for some night time caching. While this was not too hard to find, I did find a few spiky plants on the way, so after making this find, I thought the others can wait for daylight. TFTC

We had family camping commitments in the rural Denman region this weekend, a veritable cache desert for us (for quick finds). Luckily we still have this little parcel of great hides on our route. We haven't been ignoring them, we've just been super busy it seems!
So to celebrate International Geocaching Day (we would have loved to have attended the local event) we stopped off here to make our find for the day. This was a fun little break to the drive, Samuel showing that despite his eagle-like vision, he can still miss things in front of his mush....
Nice container kingfisher, as always....

Happy International Geocaching Day!
Pitt we couldn’t attend todays event, but we at least need a single find on the way out of Newcastle!
Quick find here, all in good condition, cool little container! TNLN SL
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache kingfisher_au!

Find # 9472
Nice quick find.
Initially, we thought it was a puzzle box as the lid was so well fitting.

Sarah‘s story touched a chord with us – that is, two pods, plus Goldberry 17 – although we seemed to cross many more gullies than she did. Got to say, Pandora would’ve been very proud of this box! TFTC
Found while having a great day geocaching with 2pods. We took the long route, crossed the gully several times, but got the box in the end. Loved the story
TFTC and that took longer than it should have. When I was teaching I drummed into my students to read the question and understand what they are asking. In this case I should have adhered to my experience and read the question and understand. Once I did that I had the cache in seconds. A favourite from me for the great container and refreshing my comprehension skills. I also dropped a TB.
Today we headed off from Cessnock on a mission to tick off 3 more LGA's.
Your cache was in the target zone and one we found along the way.
This was a great series kingfisher_au as each cache was different as they had their own challenges. We were pleased to see the effort that was put into this series.
Many thaks to all CO's for placing caches and allowing us to complete our task.
We travelled nearly 600klms and enjoyed our day exploring these areas.

We really could have made the walk into this one a whole lot easier, but it seemed we decided to do a bit of a bush bashing route. Before long we had the prize in hand. TFTC
After some tree climbs this morning we headed west (again) and grabbed these new ones in our relentless quest to keep the map clear ha ha
A cool container. CC swapped in a caching coin for a sticker. TNLN TFTC

Always good to get a first to find in your local area. After seeing this put up last night I set out this morning to find it. Excellent container. FP from me
