bif of leap frogging with the car, but got em. this one made me laugh, as its the only one there. TFTC.
Drove up from Sydney for the Kids to visit some friends, yay I had a couple of hours free to make a few finds. What a clean and orderly street and parkland, also very quiet. Good hint! Thanks for placing this cache Mr&MrsFish #2931
Nice hide. Approaching GZ and good coords I was able to make the find quickly. TFTC
Quick finding. Thanks for the hint. Very well protected! Thanks Mr&MrsFish for placing Bensville Creek - First Holding Pond! #1081GCAA4D6
Walked through a few local streets before arriving at this one. Turns out we had to cross a very waterlogged park. Took the shoes off and piggybacked the kids to get to the location. After this it was an easy find. Cache is in good condition. We tried to walk to the next cache but ran into private property and a deep-ish creek. With the rain getting heavier we decided that was enough Geocaching for today. Thanks for the cache!
Spending some time at the friendly neighbourhood ogre's place for the first time in several years, gave me plenty of caching options around my old haunts. A quick mention of this handful of caches down the road and I was delivered to said location. As I got out of the car for this one, my thong snapped, meaning I had to make like BFJ as I headed across to this one. As I approached GZ the hint made immediate sense, but that didn't help avoid the swarms of mozzies that landed on me - I couldn't sign and replace the thing and get out of here quick enough!! Another great hide, thanks Mr&MrsFish!
I drove down to close to the pond and checked it out. There's lots of algae on the water surface at the moment so only 2 Dusky Moorhens were out there. So on to cache finding. I went where the GPS suggested but there was nothing that matched what I thought the hint meant. So I went back and forth, further and further round the pond checking them all. No luck so I sat down and read the past logs.Yikes, they all say it's easy - what's wrong with me??Hey I haven't driven 80km for a DNF. I decided it must be a inverted hide and began checking the ground. There it was, just what I was expecting, under all the leaf litter. SL and replaced carefully. Took 30 minutes but all good in the end!TFTC # 5712
Capital hiding spot! A beautiful spot again on our tour of these lovely little caches with their CO.
Plenty of ducks in the pond, another nice out of the way park, thanks for showing me this place.
well unlike the last hide I pretty much walked up and put my hands straight on the cache here, That's the way it goes sometimes. Thanks for the cache Mr&MrsFish tnln replaced as found sl
It's been a busy week for me, what with day trips to Newcastle and Sydney, a major service on my car, preparing a new cache of my own and the rain on Wednesday, but finally I got the chance to try my luck on this new series. Starting from the parking waypoint, I made my way around the picturesque pond to where my GPSr was pointing and quickly had the cache in hand.
Many thanks for the hide and the tour of the creek.
