Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a very long and somewhat arduous day, starting with an early morning walk around Glenelg before heading out towards the hills, Hahndorf, and Mount Barker. We then finished it off by targeting as many caches on our to-do list as we could before making it back to Glenelg just on dark for some gelati. Overall, it was a mostly successful caching day and are thoroughly enjoying our visit to Adelaide thus far.Nice little walk down around the loop after visiting the summit, quick find after a scurry down the hill. Thanks for the cache
Quick easy find after some bush bashing! Struggled to find a space to sign in the VERY full log - may need a replacement one soon
In town with CaptainVimes for a work event (hers, not mine) and to find a few caches. Had some difficulty extracting it from its hide. Thanks for the cache TeamAstro
Today I needed some geocaching therapy so I targeted the Mt Lofty area for a morning of caching. Its been awhile since I visited the top of Mt Lofty so I picked a nice sunny day to enjoy the view. After taking in the views, I went for a wander to grab the cache. It took some searching but I found it eventually. Helps to be tall!Thank you TeamAstro, for placing Mercury for the geocaching community.# # #15062 # #
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.Just like the planet it was hot at Mercury today - 32c I am visiting Adelaide this week to attend The Great Leap Forward mega. Found during my mega adventures while having mega fun with deanside & TeamAstro Found & logged using Cachly for iOS
Fun fact about MercuryThe smallest planet in our solar system has a big presence in our collective imagination. Scores of science fiction writers have been inspired by Mercury, including Isaac Asimov, C. S. Lewis, Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke, and H. P. Lovecraft. Television and film writers, too, have found the planet an ideal location for storytelling. In the 2007 film "Sunshine," the Icarus II spacecraft goes into orbit around Mercury to rendezvous with the Icarus I.Thanks TeamAstro for your fantastic efforts and for contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy
Well off the track and quite steep. An easy find and container a decent size.TFTC
Sandyofthesea and I are supporting a crazy running mate who has run the length of NZ, Tassie and his goal is Darwin.Today was a rest day and a view of Mt Lofty.TeamAstro, I found Mercury today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.* * * * * * *SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Keep looking up!
So today Im hiking from Waterfall Gully up to Mount Lofty and then back to Waterfall Gully. Ive just had lunch at the top, and now Im heading down. No problems finding this particular container.
Found this one after following the the firebreak clear line and some animal tracks towards GZ.
A quick find for me today. I only ventured out into the 6degree and windy weather after I purchased a beanie from the gift shop.
Did some CITO on the way out.
Thanks for the cache.

Find 18 of 18 on a busy caching day in central Adelaide then out to Mount Lofty, first by a combination of e-scooter and urban walking, then later lots of up and down hiking.
After taking the Waterfall Gully Trail down and down some more, we came back to this one with fire in our calf muscles. Mrs O schlepped up the track to the summit while Mr O took a direct approach to the cache and made a quick find.

We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
Took the trip today up to Mt Lofty. We have been here a couple of times before but it is always worth the trip, especially when there is a cache or two to find.
Managed to get to this one without too much of a problem.
This was find number 1 for the day.

We are from Sydney. Motorcycle trip to Adelaide brought us here. Lovely ride and a cache hunt. Tricky in motorcycle gear and boots! TFTC.
I’ve just been to the lookout, and this was too close to ignore! I noted that the infamous Tankengine had been at the lookout before me, and I was surprised that he didn’t come here too, but look, there is his sticker inside the lid, and a name in the log in 2012. The log is rather full, and a bit chaotic chronologically, so I have signed next to him as a mark of respect.
My first planet, thanks Team Astro - not clear skies today, but the good weather is coming!

Found whilst cycling up Mt Lofty with Brad&Janet.

Was looking at caches further afield that I had not found last night and noticed this one and it was in an area where I had also to visit for other reasons so this morning I made the detour on the way to work and called in.
Did the other task and then went for a wander to this one. Trekked through the area and arrived in an area and quickly spotted a likely hide. After a short search looking in all the various nooks and crannies spotted the cache. Signed the log and replaced it all in its hide. Nice to have now visited mercury.

Over from Perth for a long weekend Before leaving I had googled 'best hike in Adelaide' and the walk from Waterfall Gully to Mount Lofty popped up - and here I am Very glad I came here; weather is perfect today, not too hot with a nice breeze, just right for a nice walk through some beautiful country. This was one of the caches I stopped off at along the way. The hint had me scratching my head at first but then as I headed towards the cache from the summit it all started to make sense Once there I went round in circles for a few minutes before realising I was actually circling the host - and then made a quick find No problems here, thanks for the little off-road adventure TFTC
Today we headed to Unley to have a proper English Sunday roast at the Earl of Leicester in Unley. It was fab, we started with a pot of mussels (not very British) followed by roast beef and all the trimmings including a Yorkshire pudding. I was in heaven.
So the best thing to do after a huge lunch is to follow up with a drive into the hills with the roof down and then a big walk to walk off the lunch in the glorious spring sunshine.
So with no hound (he has gone on holidays to the farm at Naracoorte) finally able to pick up some caches at Mount Lofty. Great to get another from the solar system and a golden oldie too. TFTC TeamAstro.

Last day of our visit in Adelaide. On the easy track arround the top of mount Lofty this was a quick find a bit of the walking path. TFTC
My wife had a seat as I trekked down to this one. A short search and I spotted the prize. Lucky my long arms could pop the cache out and I added my name to the multiple pieces of paper in the container
Thanks for the cache

Tricky to get out hide. Good fun from summit area. Will need new log book soon.
A short stroll from the top to this location, a quick look and there we go! The hardest part was getting the thing. But I guess like Mercury to the sun, the gravitational forces can be strong. TNLN. Cheers.
We found it!! Very predictable but well hidden!! Loved it, there wasn’t much good tradable things in there, so we donated a LOT of good stuff (play dough, figurines, gold coins etc) Hope the next person enjoys!

The last find for today before heading back down the hill. Davidwazza assured us he had searched this tree so we spent awhile looking all around, I went to double check and yes he forgot his glasses I think.
With having the public holiday today, david wazza and myself made a decision after yesterdays day out near murray bridge to do some more caching today. Today we included Jess Wrigley in our travels and decided to head up to the “famous” mount lofty summit walk (I had previously never been up here). A nice morning walks with a 6 caches being collected along the way. A nice view at the top with a café at the top to complete the journey.
Thanks for the cache.

With a public holiday free, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T), [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I made a plan to do a morning hike up to Mount Lofty from Waterfall Gully. We found six traditional caches on the way up, and had one DNF on the hike down. This trail sure gets busy with walkers and joggers.
I had eyed this solar system cache many times during rides up to Mount Lofty, and had even considered stopping here to carry my bike up from the road to the cache. However today seemed more feasible to find this cache since we had walked up from the bottom. We had to look for five minutes around the area until it was found by [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) in a tree that I had previously checked (albeit only checked the bottom area). Another solar cache completed off this series, thanks TeamAstro.

A great little cache, not too challenging to find, but could consider upgrading the difficulty rating (cache is not on a path but in the bush, steep access with loose rock and undergrowth - good shoes are a must!) Thanks for the cache! - Adam & Kahlia
I walked up to Mount Lofty and back starting at Waterfall Gully today. Along the way I found several caches. Most of them were an easy find and with only a few muggels on the tracks it didn’t take long to sign the log books.
Thanks to all the owners for hiding the caches.
