Toilets - Playfair St (Dunedin)Dunedin MEGA Sunday! More great caches to be found while exploring the beautiful Dunedin. Joining forces with some Queensland comrades, we hit the road, collecting great caches along the way. Signing our logs QLD + 1 to save room, we were pleased to see most of the caches had been recently maintained and enjoyed a great variety of hides and types.A massive thank you to all of the COs for the preparation, placement and maintenance of these caches. TFTC i-gotit# 10653CheersWillis007
I am staying with a friend nearby so walked here a couple of days ago but at gz there was a Father and daughter playing so Willis007 and I came back today for a quick and easy find, especially as there were two other geocachers there. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc
MEGA WEEKEND CACHINGJoint find with DownsouthInv, Annielin, Wombats_4, MrandMrsFraggle, MrsHazzar, Abbykitt and KNCN (together the group is known as SRT, Southern Raiders and all logs were signed with that name to save space and save time) busy busy day for the group from the south, but enough time to clean up some more solves/caches T4TC PS sorry for the gereric logs so many caches to do so little time
Pleased to locate this cache properly today after my failed past attempt. Much better placement too - really not a fan of the sort of location used before. Tftc!
Another set of toilets and gather the information, thankfully most of the answers are at the waypoint and there is a nice place to sit and gather the information. Nice to have a quiet space for the final although did wonder what the steps are actually. Found with Spoonz2
Two muggles sitting close to the toilets thankfully moved before we looked too suspicious. Once the coords were worked out and cache located it was a nice spot to sit in the sun and fill out the log. Found with Debsnz. Thanks i-gotit.
The ground work was done a month ago with kiscardi. An early morning pick up. Thanks
Stopped by after Saturday drive with my girls. Yippee park not busy. Sat down and grabed the cache. Shiny and dry, I still think of these new caches as 200ml so didn't realise they were 20ml smaller. Logscroll signed and returned to the spot well in. Hopefully some slug won't stuff their chip packets in there. TFTC
New cache in a new place. For those who had worked out the old position but not found the cache you will either have to revisit the starting coordinates or take a bearing of 11.92 degrees for a distance of 81.4 metres from your old solution.
Cache has gone. Severe pruning has severely comprised the hiding spot and I'll need to find a new one.
My one failure for the day, I generated the coords online and drove over there earlier in my drive. I spent a long time searching the hint, but couldn't see a cache at all. Will admit to being a bit skittish searching here given how exposed it is - will revisit my coords.
I had to drop MrMagoo72 in town for an appointment, so then I took the opportunity to come and look for this cache. Parked in the lovely wide street; I used to buy freshly ground coffee beans from a man just up the street a bit, but I never knew this path was here. Arrived at the right area to start searching soon enough, but it took me a long time to locate the container. I don't really like looking in this stuff, but I was determined to find it and had plenty of time, so I went about methodically looking. Just as I'd almost given up, I spotted it. Had to give it quite a yank to extract it, then signed the log. Next problem was trying to remember exactly where I'd retrieved it from! Another search and then I found exactly where it went. Phew. TFTC.
Quick grab on a wet day, but still a great day for caching. - Thanks Bitsprayer
A straightforward projection, and it didn't take too long to locate the cache, although a wee bit of manoeuvring was required to extract it. Some men from the bowling club were gathered very close by, so we had to explain what we were doing. TFTC
I was away when this was published but soon had the final coords solved even though a FTF was out of the equation. Saved this for a busy day but decided to find it on this wet one instead. Quickly found signed and returned. Was just walking away when a muggle appeared suddenly from the gate opposite which gave me a jump and he a giggle.
Thanks for the cache, i-gotit

This has been solved for awhile as I was passing near by it was a quick stop on a pathway I had walked before. Thanks for the cache.
This easy projection multi came up in a wery familiar place as weekdays would be impossible to get a carpark while school is in session. The mini buses use the big turn radius around the white oaks so when we go to collect our chick from school, it's kept to the quickest Kiss and Drop zone transition. Apartment builders monopolizing street parking at the Wax match factory site and dagger looks from the kindergarten Moms when you used their off-street parking. Kinda still waiting for that big shift to Carlton hill. I have used a couple of walks around this park, visiting the failed Kew Trad cache that disappeared from the boulder in the mural garden and having a quick search for a filmcan in [church](https://coord.info/GCMQPJ) grounds. Walked up a path I hadn't used before and stopped at the GZ overlooking the 14ft offset with the zero presenting in the neighbours garden to see the tuppaware peeping back at me not hidden from the hint place. I don't think anyone is going to use their gate anytime soon but had a giggle at the three eyed fishy swimming around the fluorescent drain pipe. A couple of seconds had the cache out of the budge and signed the paper logscroll in the pillcan. Some tiny swag in cache got looked at, TNLN returning cache to hide bringing some of the cover back over it to keep the black box hidden properly. I always considered these new lockdown caches to be 200ml so learnt something new today but will carry on associating them as 200ml. Whether they stay water tight in that position will probably depend on how weather proof the hide will be. I remember riding along this part of South road years ago visiting the deputy mayor on business and recall how we could look down of Carisbrook stadium which is still visible in 3D Building View on Google Earth today although the building site is now the new Placemakers.
It took awhile for GCHQ to get their togs on after the July 4th debacle with hundreds of cacheri not getting their Two Day Bronze souvenirs. Pulling the drapes and walking away from the office as moans started filling the inboxes left players in limbo as they had to continue logging their daily cache or break their monthly streak. Two streaks in a row were put under enough pressure. Nailing the 2nd several days Silver [s](https://www.geocaching.com/souvenir/?guid=7e72a560-29b1-4e16-80c1-6bf09c03c065)ouvenir got the streak ball rolling again. ***4th** Wheel challenge July **Streak** star **7th** multi **28** days*. A short detour after an open home viewing - people enjoyed walking around this area on the way to the cache. Kept walking, to allow people to go past, and returned... a struggle to get the container out! Interesting to see the apartments that have replaced the Vesta factory.
Had to take two bites at this one. It turns out discreet activities are not really possible when there is an event being held at a nearby venue. Managed to pick a quieter time on the second visit and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
TFTC, an easy find today although the container was a bit jammed into its hidey hole and needed manoeuvring out. It was a busy thoroughfare today - several people walked past me whilst I was here.
Third! Ha, thought I might try my luck at being first, but I forget how quick some of you are! Plus I had to come from north end so.. ?? anyway pleased to have found it so quickly ??

Perfect timing for this one as was in the area!
A well known spot here as my best friend from high school lived very close and we passed by often.

2TF - admittedly I got the email late but still had a bit of hope that Sunflowers26 and I could grab FTF. No such luck on that front but we did manage to find it without any problems, nicely tucked away as it was. Good start to a promising day. Cheers!
