Logs
Read previous logs to help with this one. I'm a shorty so Luckily had Geo Shark with me to help reach this one. Left some swag. TFTC in a very good spot.
Really cool cache, good thing we're tall log is fine has multiple pages, so good for a bit yet. Tftc
Luckily, I had a younger set of eyes and more agile limbs. The case was seen in hound and we were signing a log.
TFTC! 14 September 2024 10:10:30PM 8455 thanks to lee737 for the cache! Fortunately we were able to find within a few minutes. Easier at night when everyones been out! Didnt feel out of place or that we were noticed at all.
Was about to give up even after reading the logs!Last ditched effort paid dividends - so glad I have tippy toes!Log is almost full though.
Fortunately I am tall enough for this one and it only took a couple of minutes. Nobody about this evening in the freezing cold.
What a cunning little spot with muggles everywhere adding to the difficulty. Thanks Team737
Although it feels good to finally log this, it took me an embarrassing amount of attempts before finally signing the log. Finally spotted the cache today, but coming after 3 was a mistake because it took forever to have a gap in the traffic and pedestrians and light rails to retrieve it, and them again to put it back. At least it's done now. Great area and hiding spot though. TFTC!!! #2317
After our travels it was time to sell our Matilda the campervan and settle down in Narrabri for few months. This weekend we visited some friends on the coast and spent a night in Newcastle. After dinner we stopped here and signed the log, tftc!
The T rating helped us decide where to search. Like Neil Armstrong said back in 1969: that's one small step for Dan, one large stretch for everyone else. TFTC Team737
Buz21b and Terraldinho I am so grateful for their help on this cache! They helped me get the cache after we attended an event close by. I am glad they were there because I realised now why I was struggling so much and why other logs mentioned it being a tough one for short people. In some ways I was glad it was night when we got it but we did get some questions by a few muggles who were walking past. TFTC!
The final cache we made on our Newcastle trip! We really wanted to check out papas bagels, so we popped over for a quick brunch before departing. The everything bagel with cream cheese was fantastic, as was the everything pastrami cheese one. After satisfying our hunger, we walked over to this. Walked around a few times confused, looking high as suggested previously, before spotting somewhere to search - bingo, CIH.Tftc!
Well bunadoorian and I looked and felt and searched some more! After reading a previous found log - the light bulb moment happened ( Thanks cheesethedayAU) that we were looking in the totally wrong spot!!! As I am not as vertically challenged as bunadoorian I was able to find the cache. TFTC and the entertainment lee737.
An extremely well hidden cache which Grub62 would not have found except by reading a previous log and the fact that she has a height advantage over myself. Interesting artwork. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
The clue is correct but should also say short people need not apply! We only reached it thanks to our 175cm tall friend. Excellent spot.
Little scary back here, not sure what critters I might find but no big deal, all was fine.
Nice area, quite on a Sunday afternoon, as this one was retrieved by the taller cacher. TFTC
My cache luck has run out and I have cache blindness. I did read the logs and hint but I just couldnt see it. Have to keep moving as its extremely hot and I need to move my car. Will return another time. Might of been also thrown by seeing a muggle couple that I knew personally.
Was able to find while everyone went about their daily tasks. Interesting to see how they can use waste material to highlight an area. Thanks Team737 for this cache.
Reperio 09:45After I had finished with jury service this morning, it was time to start thinking about heading home to Orange, but not before stopping by and finding a few caches. Before leaving my car park which I had paid a fortune for (thinking I was going to be at the courthouse longer), I went for a walk to find a couple of inner city caches. Whilst there were plenty of muggles about, this cache turned out to be found pretty quickly. The landscape has certainly changed a lot in the last 10 years here. Found it with Hermana and Hermano! Mrs dat is very small and Mr dat was not in attendance for this find, so lucky Hermano was there! He retrieved the container Signed and replaced as found. TFTC
Found this with fellow deaf geocacher AuslanGuy who just couldnt reach high enough. Last line of the log paper filled out by both nametags. Was here this morning but too crowded so came back after 9 pm. TFTC
Over for the deaf games from Melbourne, Victoria thought we'd get some dinner and get some caches
Nice sculpture, nice hide! Found under the cover of darkness, or was I in the bright spotlights! TFTC Lee737
A quick find on a warm and humid boxing day afternoon in the company of the CO and Googlehihihi. TFTC
With quiet streets and easy parking on Boxing Day, we dropped by after a failed FTF search. All was well. We came back with friends later on in the day too..... Coords around 2-3m.
Out with the geooma to do some grocery shopping nearby. This was a must try on the way back. I first checked all the wrong spots before reading the past logs and realizing where it was going to be found was nowhere near where I had looked. The rain kept muggles away and I had no trouble searching in peace. A very nice and clever hide that works really well. A FAVpoint for the funQuick find, nice cache, all in good order. Thank you Team737 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
Came back with my taller wife to collect this one! Spot of caching on my birthday! TFTC
Think I can see this one but my 5ft 2 stretch with a poking stick is no match for this! Will be back with a tall person
Spotted where the cache could be pretty quickly so reached up with only one muggle nearby. TFTC 737!
Took a while to find. Thought we had looked everywhere and even looked over this space and couldnt find it. After reading through some previous logs we were able to find quickly. Good place to hide. Found with EJR096.
Found after quite an in depth search. A few muggles around being a weekend. Certainly glad I had someone with me that was taller than myself Found with TALodo
I walked here this morning from my accommodation, or rather towards this general area. Just as I arrived at gz, a lady passed and sat on the seat nearby. Sigh.Sat down nearby and started waiting......eventually I told her what's going on and started the search. Spotted not long later and showed the munching muggle to prove i'm not crazy. Thanks for hiding one of the very few caches downtown!
This will be my third visit to this cache, The second time, there was a muggle sitting on the bench nearby who was talking to himself quite angrily. Today Mr Minion and I left home nice and early and there were no muggles around, it was a quick find for Mr Minion . Thanks for the cache Team737 tnln replaced as found sl
I am not tall but I am crafty, resourceful, not worried about looking like a doofus. I retrieved and replaced this one with my specially crafted tool- a half-broken stick. Thanks for placing this cache! TFTC
Looked in the most spot, saw it from afar. Buz21b thought it was a bit of a stretch.
OMG...saw from afar... bit of a stretch..unexpected workout. Found with geokiddo geodogg and Mstrikes. Thanks fr the cache found whilst doing chalk the walk.
Had a look around but couldn't find it, might not have had the right angle, or just blind
Find#1678Out today with Techsavvy9 finding some caches. This was not in the place that I thought it would be. Glad that I had a previous finder to give me a clue. Cache and log in good condition. This is the forty-fifth cache working towards fulfilling the challenge cache from across the ditch, in New Zealand, One thousand points of Light Challenge. 962 out of 1 000 points. TFTC
Hi everyone, my class and I walked to find this with no success!! Could someone please message me exactly where it is so I can take them back? This was our first geocaching experience. Thanks!
Up in Newcastle talking work with peer collaborators so grat. to take a refreshing scamper around the CBD before dinner and frisk down some heritage - TFTC Team737 and hello from Canberra geocaching community!
Found in the last place we looked. Only found after checking previous ligs
It was getting dark and we were just about to head home after a day in Newcastle when I saw this cache on the map and realised it was a great time to visit with no-one in sight and plenty of parking. After the GPS settled I could only find one possible place, and soon grabbed the container to log my find. This is an excellent cache with seemingly nowhere to hide it, I really liked it so thanks for the placement.
TFTC-this was the HIGH-light of my night
PS This was our teams 100th find looking forward to start hiding our own

This took a while. Too Long. Searched the immediate area, nope. Read the hint, that dont help. Read some logs, mmmmm. Stood back, thar she blows... TFTC.
Find No: 9156. Finally got a park and grabbed the beast despite the nearby muggles, I like it, gets a favorite, thanks for the cache lee737!!
TFTC and a nice find. One 2 Pod was able to retrieve it for us. A nice park in the middle of the CBD. I have many happy memories growing up in Warners Bay and catching the bus and getting off at the Store and walking up Hunter Street every school holidays. Parks like this didn’t exist then. A lovely idea to remember the past. A favourite from me.
Thank goodness for previous logs – they certainly can be of help. Out with the gang of Graham Hanna 2727, Goldberry17 and Techsavvy9. Even the tall Techsavvy couldn’t get this one. TFTC
Found thanks to the hard work and height of a 2pod! Thankfully previous logs were helpful. Thanks for this cache - a fav from me
Found this one on my second visit thanks to some new clues in the activity log
Finally Dad gets one the kids can’t! Ha ha
Give them a year or two and this wouldn’t be an issue but for now the 11 year old was maybe two inches too short. Fortunately Dad had just enough in his knees and length of arms to make the retrieve. Knowing Big Matt he probably had to stoop down and mind his head but it’s a stretch for the rest of us
FP from me for the placement. I’d actually contemplated putting one here myself more than once! TNLN TFTC

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12716.
This would have been a tricky little hide but standing back considering my options I could see something that looked odd and sure enough I soon had the cache in hand. I returned it about 20mm further just so that it wasn’t immediately visible.
Thanks lee737 for the cache.

I came up to Newcastle on the train today on day 5 of my 7-day streak and, after checking out WP1 of Pigeon Hole, continued on to this one. After a bit of a cursory search, I spied what might have made a good hiding place but, just as I was about to check it out, a cleaner arrived on his golf-buggy thing which he parked almost right next to me. At that point, I decided to head across to Newcastle Beach for some lunch and try again on the way back.
With the cleaner having cleaned what needed cleaning and departed, I resumed my search. Reaching in to the suspected hiding place, I touched something but only managed to move it further out of reach. Not wanting to make too much of a spectacle of myself in front of the regular stream of passing muggles, I contacted the CO to confirm that I had the right spot, which he did. Fortunately I was able to find a stick that had the right length and curvature for me to retrieve the cache and, after signing the log and waiting for the passing muggles to pass, put it back without pushing it too far in.
Glad to have been able to make the find eventually and thanks again to the CO for his guidance.
