Thanks for the cache! Here is a quick hint with a poem (doesnt give too much information, but if you dont want hints do not read + dont view the photo). We looked up high,We looked down low.We looked and hints,But we didnt know where to go.We sat on a seat,As we thought and thought,We heard birds tweet,But our minds were distraught. We looked in a tree,And shouted with glee.We had found the duck,But the log book was stuck! There was a big spider,Guarding it down,We managed it out,As we wrote our names down.Hope you liked it! Here is a hint. (Dont check if you dont want hints!)
So today was a day of celebrations, 100,000 in fact and there was cake. Then caching. Adelaide caching. Found in the company of CPWanderer. TFTC Vasco_the_Duck
A nice and simple cache! You dont see many like this. Found on my birthday, TFTC. - besbeh
15:47Lunch packed, water on board, ready for our final day of caching with Suscoe before heading back to Victoria. A quick duck in and out and our name was in the log.Our thanks to 'Vasco_the_Duck' for adding this cache to this series on the geo-gameboard.37886*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
Well another delightful day around Adealide with our good friends Phetlern. We enjoyed this wander and cache finding having a good chat as we went.Again we were impressed with the range of housing styles that we saw and the delightful street trees that adorn this city. The day was mostly fine with a little drizzle around lunch time, a cool breeze that kicked in after the drizzle but before and after that it was pretty good with some sunshine peeping through. Thanks to Vasco_the_Duck for this hide.
Out with Normanville enjoying a walk around finding a few caches. Found, signed & replaced. Cute. TFTC
Out for an evening walk and detuted slightly to pick this one up, quick find here then onto the next one. TFTC
Accurate coordinates and the information in eh cache description led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Vasco_the_Duck for the cache.
I had to be nearby to assist a family member post procedure - which meant a looooooong wait. 6 hours in the end.Thankfully, I could walk and find this cache instead of sitting down all day in a waiting room chair. The cache was cool. But the log book soaked. I tried my best to etch "Goldy" in the log book. Thanks Vasco_the_Duck for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 4149 on the 5th of June 2024.
The log is compromised, and you can not write on it, but it's great hide
Ducking around the big smoke with Mr froghoppin again. The city and suburbs just keep on giving... A short hunt had the duck in hand. A duck in the hand is worth a bird in the bush? Thank you Vasco_the_Duck for this cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid caches falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! PS:Don't forget to put the SA June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... leap back into the 80s - GCAK1D5 - Lameroo's Ludicrous Legwarmers
A carpool with doineedthis to travel together to an event this afternoon, had us running a little early. A bit of spare time to find a couple more caches along the way Perfect. As this cache was in the general direction we were travelling, we ducked by and ducked into a tree, but we thought we had been stood up! that is until doineedthis stumbled onto the hidden wood duck TFTC Vancouver the DuckKeep smiling
Another Tuesday adventure with Mattycat, today we are heading to the city with a little more focus on the eastern side, a quick find on this one todayTFTC Vasco_the_Duck
Found It!A quick find here. The log scroll is looking a bit worse for wear and is a hard to write on.TFTC
After a couple of really hectic days today was going to be a bit less so. After the 2 events at St Clair I teamed up with Michells&hound to find some caches that we both hadn't found and then heading to North Adelaide for the last event of the day.A quick find here. Thanks for the cache Vasco_the_Duck.
after giving up on a nearby cache I made my way over to this one for a much needed smiley. TFTC!
Today after the St Clair events I headed out with JJ52 to collect some more caches that neither of us had found and then on to the last Mega event. Quick find and sign here TFTC
Something special or unusual goes here:Disturbed a cache guardian who was keeping the duck warm by sitting on it. The guardian reluctantly climbed out of the way and the cache was stamped. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday trek for a trio of puzzle solvers. Today however as it was very hot we decided to wait for a 7.00 p.m. start and cache is in the relative coolness of the twilight and into the early Wednesday morning. A fun night for getting some caches when businesses are closed and not so many prying eyes.. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks Vasco_the_Duck for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Found with gridge98 whilst in the area doing some caching apologies for the late log. Thanks for the cache
A quick find here today, cache could do with a half decent log book thoughThis evening courtneyrose_ and I made our way to an event in Unley along the way we stopped to find a few caches east of the city. Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache Vasco the Duck. The log sheet is wet but signable. I managed OZG on the back and left it at that.Find #9208 at 11.09am
Nice grounds! I wasnt aware of this facility until I needed a fancy scan here a couple of years ago. They didnt find anything wrong, and so the caching continues.I found the duck and hes holding up ok but the log will be lucky to make it to the new year I reckon. Thanks for bringing me back here with your cache Vasco_the_Duck.
Christmas trip to Adelaide 2023. Day 7. Blackwood Day 5. Today started with an event welcoming the February 29th event only being two months away. I then spent some time in and around Norwood completing a handful of caches, not all going according to plan. Next was a visit to the city to ride the tram and walk the shops. I finished my days caching with some bakery LABs that had started during the event. The day was windy and with a cool breeze the hot sun was not too much of a problem.Apparently there is a duck here and I was happy to see the tether and extract the cache. The log is a bit damp, so used a short name in the log. Thanks for the cache Vasco_the_Duck45175.5 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Ballarat Geotour 1 A#519**Albida**
Confused puzzlers changed their Tuesday Trekking to Wednesday evening wander in and around the CBD.Plan A was for ttrogg to pick up the Rat and then proceed t North Adelaide to met up with the Starfish. The Starfish rang, and had to cancel his plans for the evening frolics.Plan B Ttrogg picked up the Rat and we headed for the CBD.We parked the geomobile and wandered over to the cache. We quickly located the cache, stamped the logbook and replaced as found. Tftc
Hehe! This was a fun cache. Managed to squeeze my initials in but desperately needs a new log.
Owl was on her way to a meeting but had time for a detour. Had to get the right tree but after that it was an easy find.
Went out to find some caches. Found this cache. Could use a new log sheet. Thanks for the hide
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Had some time free before collecting the grandkids. So, I wandered over to GZ and quickly found the hide and neat container, but no log. As it was dark, I got out the torch and then spotted the log. Took it for a wander to a nearby seat to remove, sign and then took ages to reroll and replace in its container. Then back to GZ to replace the container back into its hide. Dont need to duck this one again.

Everytime been here, the closest park was like 10km away! Managed jag one only 100m away today.
Managed quick find despite the comings and goings...
Log damp, rippable now.

Thanks

While I was at the recent SAGAs I got some advice about some recent DNFs, one of the reasons I thought it was an excellent event
So today I ventured into town and managed to turn two frowns upside down. As a bonus scored a newish traditional I'd overlooked the other day.
I found a tree, then I found a duck in an abnormal location, then I put my stamp in the log.
Thanks to Vasco_the_Duck for putting out this cache.
Cache #13721 for me.

Mr Tardis made a detour on the way home from work to find this new cache.
I'm happy to report that I found the cache in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Vasco_the_Duck.

Called past for a search and found the quack-quack. Thanks for the cache Vasco_the_Duck!
New traditional cache! Let's have a try.
Carpark near GZ was fully occupied, so I parked further away. Walked to GZ, and found the cache easily.
Managed to sign the log sheet. Then re-hid the duck.
Thanks for the new cache, Vasco the Duck.
