Logs
This morning Granny and I had a plan to continue with seeking out caches with the off-road attribute for our monthly challenge. It turned out to be a fun day and with lots of various caches in lots of places. We got in a few extras while we were passing as well and even found a couple of ftfs along the way. We got to have a morning tea/ breakfast at an event and met some great cachers. There is some really pretty countryside around this area. We signed the logs and replaced the caches as we found them. Thanks for the caches and the hides. If you are seeing this please check out, GCARTY0, see what is planned for October 2025. There is an importance in placing will attends to events. Thanks for supporting geocaching in Australia. ITS A PARTY EVENT!
TFTC smile 20961 Out and about on a Rainy day grabing a cache to try and keep a challenge going signed as GS1947 on small logs On a trip to Maryborough to fine a few caches with Chamad It's Party time at GCARTY0 - 05 October 2025 Sunshine Coast come and join us for a great time Thank you Tassie Trekkers for placing this cache for our enjoyment
We walked along to this one from our previous fish as it looked quite boggy along the track. The cache was quickly spotted with the good coords. Retrieval went well, log signed and the cache returned to it perch. Thanks Tassie Trekkers for this one.
Today started as a sunny winters day and eventually ended up with a few light showers later on which made the day all that must better. A great day for going on an adventure finding geocaches. I parked the 4WD as close as I could, about 15m away from GZ. I made a quick find, used my fishing pole to retrieve the cache, added my name to the log sheet, returned the cache to where I found it and safely returned to the car. Now onto the next cache. Thanks for placing and maintaining this geocache.
We are back in one of our favourite towns for a long weekend. For the afternoon we went searching for couple of caches near the showgrounds. We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc Tassie Trekkers
We spend three nights in Maryborough too glean ab the leftover.Found the cache with TBU1BIKESU and signed the log.Tftc. Tassie Trekkers
We tried 4wd to this hide ,only to be stopped by heaps of smelly water over the trail for a good thirty metres. We parked the car and tried the last 100 metres on foot . It's way too soft even to walk on. Will try tomorrow to walk in from the side of the show grounds.
Another cache found on my trip to Maryborough for a 12 noon event. Left Bargara at 0415 and was complete in Maryborough by 0915. Had my little adventure on this track but nothing worth mentioning here. TFTC Tassie Trekkers.
Out and about with Ian and Penny and Liz (Pennys sister who will one day get a geocaching account) to claim some smiley faces around Maryborough today. We quickly realised that we were on the wrong side of the fence so after a quick teak back to the road we entered on the right side of the fence and followed the well worn fire track to GZ. The larger container made this one quite easy to spot. Retrieval was a little tricky as it fell into another tree and we had to fish it again. The tree fishing pole broke while we were trying to get it back up into the tree . so the cache is now hanging on a much lower branch! All in all it was an adventure. TFTC.
Hi there Tassie Trekkers, we found your cache Hans and Linda Visitors # 14 - Tassie Trekkers today in the company of MsSammi. We broke another fishing rod again! So we had to replace the geocache at a lesser altitude. Maybe the next person could put it back at a suitable height. Our apologies for our own misfortune, but the geocache container is way too heavy for the pole. Weve finally borrowed a fishing pole and it has opened up a whole lot of caches in our local area that we havent been able to get before. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
Grateful that Bruce has height Liz and I were the cheer squad as the cache was retrieved.TFTC TT
Tftc Tassie Trekkers,
(FTF) We had planned on coming to the showgrounds this morning to look at the birds on display at the bird show.
With the 2 new hides just published we headed out with our TOTT ready for action.
Had a bit of a false start as we entered from the wrong side of the fence. Backtracked and located the entrance. Took a while to locate the cache and had a few slips when trying to retrieve it. But BL got the job done.
Thanks for a new hide in our area
